We should look into getting...
a change of pace back. Im lookin at Sproles, Bradshaw, Washington, etc and i think with our punishing running game with R%R, Hilliard, Polite, a good change of pace back would be deadly in this offense. Kinda like what we looked at getting when we drafted, Travis Minor or Lorenzo Booker, but those kinds of backs who can open up a game.
Ive just noticed how Ricky and Ronnie dont have that explosion in the 2nd level and after a good 3 Quarters of running it down their throat, then hit him with a Leon Washington type. oh boy, fireworks.

Korey Sheets
he looks like he has the ability too…i wish we could use him on punt returns…his youtube vids show him being a quick and elusive back.
Oh Ronnie we love you!

I'd like to see what Korey Sheets or Pat White could bring...
keeping Chad Henne as the quarterback and having Sheets or White take a wildcat handoff, quick pitch outside, reverse, screen pass, or punt return.
Abandoned the Draft Sean Smith at #25 Bandwagon to Join the Draft Sean Smith at #61 Bandwagon and get Vontae Davis and Chris Clemons. Trio > me.
White
now there’s an idea I can get behind, using him as a WR, Punt Returner, that sort of thing. He’s got the speed and he’s definitely electric in the open field. I wouldn’t do it this year though only because he’s our backup QB. If Pennington is back, I wouldn’t hesitate to convert White and let him make an impact.
I think if Sheets was good, we would see him right now because we are wearing Ricky out and the coaches are hesitant to use Hilliard. I’m sure they would love another back to get touches, and simply because we haven’t seen Sheets active makes me think he’s not very good. All the college tape in the world doesn’t mean squat once you’re in the league.

Well, i think we will be seeing alot more of Lex and Sheets
after Ricky’s 3 fumbles and 28 carries today… Its clear that the load is starting to affect him. Come on Sparano play these guys let them earn that roster spot
I probably know Judo! How many of you can make the same boast?

we don't need the wildcat as a mainstay any more
I wouldn’t use it more than once or twice a game at this point
It might help
A change of ace back would add a new dimention to our offense but does it really fit in with our “power running” philosophy? I couls see us spending a late round draft pick on a change of pace back but not investing in one as a free agent.

if/when ronnies back
in 2010 if we still have the 2 headed monster, we must still use wildcat…
i love henne
You gotta hate to lose more than you want to win
Cobbs
Wouldn’t Cobbs be that kind of back? He was finally getting the chance to show it this year before he got injured.
Cobbs is probably gonna be a mainstay with the Phins
Sparano loves him

Cobbs & Polite
Snag some young up & coming monster in next year’s draft and we’ll be set.
(or clone Csonka)…
The biggest fool that ever hit the big time -and all I gotta do is act naturally.
Cobbs isn't a burner
I always thought if you had a punishing back, you would want your change of pace back to be a slashing burner type of back.

FA no,Draft yes...
Washington is good but the jet are going to over pay to keep him, and he a game changer, yes; but why spend the money when you can draft some one like say Cj Spiller from Clemson or Javih Best from Cal. Pretty much what your talking about without the headache of trying to out bid the Jets
because those two guys will have to be taken in round 1
and paid accordingly. Washington is coming off a broken leg, so he may not get the huge contract you are talking about.

spiller would be great
but he will be gone by the time we draft. i live about an hour from clemson, and i have seen all of spillers games. let me tell you that guy is faster in person than on tv. he’s tough too. he will be much like chris johnson of the titans. but here is something to think about. how about lagarret blount from oregon? he’s not excatly “change of pace” type. but picture this, he is lousaka polite with 4.5 speed. i bet he is available in the mid 2nd-3rd round. which leaves, our first round pick for either a LB/NT/WR.
Cobbs is a good backup and very versatile
but hes not the kinda change of pace back im talkin about, i do like the Pat White idea but his durability getting around 10 touches a game rushing would be very questionable in the NFL.
I would LOVE Washington, especially because the Jets never got a deal done with him, he made 500,000 last year plus the injury, could be a nice price for a questionable piece of property
Oh yea, Desean Jackson is a faster, quicker, better catching, bigger playmaker then Ginn and it makes me sad :( DAMNIT
problem is
you will run out of money
we are probably gonna end up getting some expensive players this offseason, i think our running game is fine as-is
