POSSIBILITIES FOR A FUTURE #1 RECIEVER
ok so we know it and evreyone knows it. the weakest part of our team by far are our recievers. look camarillo, and hartline could be solid #2's at best and bess will be our slot reciever for a long time to come and as far as patrick turner goes well we wasted a 3rd round pick lol. so as far as next year goes the free agent wire for recievers is very weak only brandon marshall and t.o are headlining it next year. i doubt were gonna take t.o and as far as brandon goes i highly doubt the trifecta will take a chance on a guy like that wich leads us to the draft. last year we had a good draft we snatched up amazing talents in vontae davis and sean smith as well as the nice pickups of pat white, brian hartline, and chris clemons.and the wr class wasnt very deep it could of been better. this years class however could be extremely deep. here are a list of guys that we could draft that could instantly become our #1 and have an impact!
DAMIAN WILLIAMS-USC
Through eight games, Damian Williams has 43 catches for 607 yards and four touchdowns. He also has two scores on punt returns. Other receivers have prettier numbers, but Williams plays in a pro-style offense with a true freshman quarterback. He's the best wideout prospect in the 2010 class as far as I'm concerned, but it's close.
DEZ BRYANT-OSU
His athleticism could make him the first receiver chosen in the 2010 NFL Draft, but Dez Bryant seems to have lapses during games. He's certainly talented, but I'm not a huge fan.
BRANDON LaFELL-LSU
Brandon LaFell has had a great year so far despite not having a great quarterback.
GOLDEN TATE-ND
Doesn't have the upside of an Arrelious Benn, but I'd rather have the sure thing. Golden Tate has 56 catches for 927 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games.
ARRELIOUS BENN-ILLINOISE
an amazing talent with huge upside his stock has dropped because of juice williams not giving him the ball.
there it is my top 5 guys that we could snatch up in this years draft that could be amazing number one recievers for us right of the bat.

I'd rather go for the sure thing on Free Agency.

Braylon will be available if Jets can't resign him...
I really think we should throw alot of cash at him and make him come to Miami. He played one year w/ Henne @ Michigan and it will take away talent from the Jets. Win-win situation in my opinion. Its an uncapped year, do what it takes to get him here. He’s only tganna be 27 years old this offseason.

Depending on how the season goes for the broncos, brandon marshall might re-sign, however i see him going in the FA market.
Vincent Jackson will re-sign (i hope he doesn’t, he’s my favorite receiver going into FA)
Braylon edwards, i don’t want the dolphins signing him, he drops passes and that’s the last thing we need.
T.O. – NO thanks
antonio bryant is someone who we can consider
Chris henry, ill pass on him.
steve breaston, no thanks.
miles austin will re-sign with the cowboys.
chris chambers, ill take him.
lance moore, he’s someone im sure the dolphins have already considered.
josh reed, same with lance moore.
malcom floyd is a great option for us.

Oh NO not TO!!!
I agree with the tcg that WR is our #1 priority. I don’t think you need to be a Rhodes Scholar to figure that out. However TUNA builds teams from inside out and that is his plan. He is well aware that we need a WR. Hopefully, we can get at least one stud! I wish we could have gotten one instead of Pat White but I don’t know who was even available at that time.

WTF!!!!
I mean seriously guys, I know we are rebuilding but damn. a receiver in the first round. We are only one wideout away from being a killer offense. And most of the time it takes a few years for a receiver to get used to and develop in the league. Calvin Johnson is the exception not the rule. We need to pick up a receiver in free agency. And Miles Austin is the guy. I mean the Big Tuna drafted him. Look at all the players that he drafted for the Cowboys that are being successful. We have the money and I am sure he will have no problem being the consensus #1 WR on a team. He wont have to worry about the drama with baby TO aka Roy Williams. He is an UFA. The onoly concern I have with him is if he gets the franchise tag. That will hurt our chances of getting him because that mean we will have to give up a draft pick. And we all know how we feel about that.

I know the Tuna wanted Austin early this year
I am just not sold on him being a true #1, Roy Williams still demands respect on the other side of the field, so its something to consider.

Think of it like this
Who ever lines up opposite of him, will shine even more. Miles if he comes to Miami, will force secondarys to cover him or maybe even double team him. Leaving the better CB to cover him while our other guy can get open.

But I always think of Peerless Price
He had a great stretch of 3 years in Buf, went to ATL and what? No Eric Moulds to help him out, plus Vick throwing the ball, but he struggled to find the field

Im a Notre Dame Fan but
Golden Tate, is not the type of WR the Fins need. Shifty, and fast with great speed, could be a Steve Smith, Torry Holt kinda of guy. But the Fins need a big WR who can go up and dominate.

um Golden Tate is a RB/WR combo
hes not a #1 reciever by any means. Hes 3rd in carries at notre dame. thats not the kind of reciever we need.

you need to make the right choice here....
I would say we have 3 options:
1. Draft a WR with our first pick
2. Sign Brandon Marshall
3. Obtain Anquan Boldin
There are no other options unless you want to set this franchise back a few years (like signing Jackson, Bowe, or Braylon Edwards)

Nope
I cannot agree with drafting a WR in the 1st round. We need someone established in this league, who knows the game and can produce now. I like brandon but no way hes leaving Denver. And AQ, he will want way too much.

drafting a WR is our best option

hold un bub
dophins wont draft a WR in the first round. maybe not even in the 2nd. with needs at DT and LB that where they will go early in the draft. DT and LB are a premium in the draft. WR come and go. look for the dolphins to sure up there young defense with a tank on the line or a LB who can cover the pass

Eric Decker
If we could draft him in the second round, I say do it.
For some reason, I feel that he’s gunna be a great pro.

Even a number one receiver won't be number one till the second season at the earliest...
I can’t wait to see who the team drafts…
Judging at how the season has gone and could become… it will be a top 20 pick…
