I'm for Braylon Edwards...
I realize that if the Jets will attempt to resign him, but we can afford to overpay since we are saving money at the QB spot. I think this game proved that Chad Henne is the real deal.
If you overpay for Braylon Edwards, you will get improved play out of Chad Henne, not to mention he will have a Plaxico Burress effect on the running game.
He has problems with drops, so he's not perfect, but he does have a history with Henne, and if he starts acting up, just get his fellow Alum Jake Long to keep him in line.
It weakens the Jets and makes the Fins stronger in an area of need.
I had hopes for Pat Turner to fulfill this role, but the coaching staff refuses to let him play.
Edwards is an NFL-ready WR with immense talent and would yield pro-bowl production from Henne (ala his freshmen season at Michigan).
Braylon Edwards would be our #1, Greg Camarillo would make a great #2 (eventually replaced by Brian Hartline who needs to spend some quality time with Camarillo to learn how to catch like he does). Davone Bess would make a great #3 in the slot. Convert Patrick Turner to TE ala Ernest Wilford.

I like that
but he only way he’ll come here if we way overpay him the kid wants to win and if we have a bad season there’s no way he’’ll come here i say we just get Steven Breaston or draft Golden Tate. He’s a beast and he has an awesome name

No thanks
Edwards is a head-case and I don’t think he’s be happy in a run-first offense. But he would be an improvement…which isn’t saying much.

Sorry about the Poll...
my computer got stuck and wouldn’t give me any more options for the Poll:
should have been:
Go after a free agent (other than Braylon)
Develop Pat Turner
Spend a first rounder on a WR draft pick
Abandoned the Draft Sean Smith at #25 Bandwagon to Join the Draft Sean Smith at #61 Bandwagon and get Vontae Davis and Chris Clemons. Trio > me.

At the beginning of the season
I was ready to go with the guys we have.
Now I’m ready to go get some real talent at WR. When I watch virtually every other team, they have at least one or even two game breaking, fly-paper handed studs at wideout.
I’m sure the Trifecta will be all over this in the off season. Look what they did to the O-line, D-line, QB, and cornerbacks. We are very close to being very good.
You have to play this game like somebody just hit your mother with a two-by-four.

Am I the only one that thinks maybe its not just our receivers?
I think the play book is all about short passes ala CP10 and they refuse to open it up a bit. I think our offensive coach is a total shithead. There I said it. I think at times henning brilliant because he gets lucky. Overall he is a total worthless POS in my mind.
Henne is now our leader. Lets see what the guy can do !

Okay, so say we get rid of Henning
Who do you want, that would be available, to be our new OC
by rroan28 on Nov 8, 2009 8:03 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
God knows someone will be available next year.
Not saying cut him TODAY, but there is always a host of people waiting to fill that stable. Henning is suffocating our team, and Pasqualoni isn’t helping too much on the other side. Hell, our QB coach would do as a replacement. He’s the real reason we did so well last year. I’m not calling for Sparano’s head or anything, but he’s starting to: Sparano is to Enabler as Henning/Pasqualoni is to Crack-Addict.

I'm not saying today
I’m asking who would be available for next year. Is there anyone notable in the last year of their contract that we might be able to get?
I think David Lee wouldn’t be a bad choice

I don't know where to find specific information like Coach contracts
Just look at the coaches in the hotseat, and either one of them will downgrade to stay in the game, or the new coach will purge the majority of personell. There’s rarely someone coming off a good season, that’s looking for a new job. Perhaps one of the retirees that have been rumored to want back in the game might consider it, but they will have their share of teams looking for veteran coaches, so they probably won’t want a pay-decrease and limited control over their team. I. E., Gruden, Cahwer, Holmgren, etc…

06 wasn't too bad
07 was more of a product of Cam Cameron than anything else. I want Saban back, I want Brees as my quarterback, Ricky to never have retired, and Boldin and Bowe lined up across each other. Imagine what might have been.

Boldin
Him and wisenhunt arent on good terms, plus hes being verymuch overlooked by the hype of fitzgerald (he lead the cardinals in receptions last year, even tho Fitz had that great postseason run). A good #1 who can be a good Playmaker/YAC WR. Then just work with what we got offensively and hit the defensive side of the ball HARD, specially LB. A 3-4 with 2 old OLB and no playmaking ILB is like just blasphemous, LETS GET SOME PLAYMAKERS IN THE LB CORE.

As far as WR..
Its gotta be a FA, its rare that rookies are instant impacts, i think our defense needs to be the priority, it used to be the damn pride of this team, with JT, Zach, Madison, Surtain, Marion, etc. were gettin back there but lets get some more work, to waste another 2 draft picks on 2 WR’s AGIAN would be a dumb move

I gotta agree,
I want something proven at that position. Steve Breaston isn’t proven IMO, considering he’s playing with two of the greatest wideouts who will draw all of the real coverage. I want Ocho Cinco… he seems to really like The Dolphins as a team already, why not? I really think his drama was over-hyped especially considering I haven’t heard a peep now that they are a good team…
Bring on Ocho!

Vincent Jackson, Miles Austin, Brandon Marshall, Braylon Edwards, Steve Breaston, Lance Moore...
in that order. Obviously, we can’t have them all. And I do like the idea of weakening a bitter division rival by taking Edwards from the Stinkin’ Jets.

I Still Wanna See Lee Evans
I wanna see Lee Evans as A dolphin, that would give the bills even less a chance and help us get alot better, yeah lets get edwards while we are at it so jets wont have a chance either. we could be one of the best offenses in the league, we have the r&r express (imo- best runningback tandem). And Lee Evans and Braylon Edwards would be like Fitz and Boldin. Then all we would need was some better lbs, get a new age zach thomas. Maybe draft someone like Brandon Spikes? I know he has some issues with like the whole eye gulging thing but the dude is a beast, could improve us instantly, either way im really excited for the offseason 2 see wut type of moves we make.
