Ginn Drops Catchable Balls, Again
Once again, Ginn continues to drop balls. With less than 3 minutes left to go in a 4th down situation, Ginn dropped a very catchable Henne throw, which might have kept us in the game. Why the coaching staff keeps going to him as a receiver is beyond me. He cannot catch or hold on to the ball. He had one measly catch for 6 yards. Use him as a kick returner, but forget about using him as receiver in any capacity.

Hate the coaches not the player
Only a true Ted Ginn hater would post this. I was waiting to see how long it would take for someone to blame the loss on him.
Ted Ginn didn’t even get tto play WR until the 4th qtr. Is it any wonder he drops balls? What about the hartline drop?
Not having Ginn out there is what killed the Phins today. The Pats had at least 9 men within 5 yrds of the LOS all game. We have no deep threat without him. Like him or not, only Ronnie Brown is more important to this offense.

Ginn Hater
For the 3.4 million a year that Ginn makes, yeah I think I am justified in bashing Ginn for underperforming. True, other receivers were dropping balls too, but they don’t make the kind of money he does for being picked 9th overall in the 2007 darft. If they had any faith in him they would have played him more throughout the game, but it shows how little faith they have in him. I don’t blame the loss of the game on him, but I blame him for being an overpaid under-performer.
I guess we won’t be hearing from you next year after they release him.

He didn't draft himself
It’s not his fault he was drafted with the 9th pick. As for performance vs salary, it’s not his fault either. Rookie’s are like cattle in the NFL. It’s a system. And how many millions do you think he made for his university and the NCAA? Ginn is not overpaid, nor is any NFL player. The players drafted after him and in the later rounds are underpaid.
AS for him being released…..not going to happen but he could very well be traded, even if it is for next to nothing. I would actually welcome it. His taents aren’t being used on this team. He needs a fresh start and so does the team. It would be best if he were gone.

There is a little difference between a 1st round 3rd season player and a 5th (I believe) round rookie player
I expect Hartline to miss routs.. drop a few.. and mess up and make rookie mistakes. HE IS A ROOKIE.
Ginn is a 3rd year NFL receiver. He is USELESS outside of returning. And I believe his 2 big returns last game are a FLUKE you will not see another one go to the house this season from him. He got lucky. He gets lucky 2 or 3 times a year and fucks up 30 or 40 times a year. Ginn is WORTHLESS and needs to be traded as soon as its possible.
Also.. in my opinion the only quality WR we have who I would say is ready to be in right now is Camarillo. Hartline is going o be a god reveiver in time but it will take a year or 2. Bess was pretty good last season with balls being lobbed into his hands but this QB does not lob them and Bess is showing that he cannot catch a bullet pass. I say dump Ginn and maybe trade away Bess and get a QUALITY #1 Hell id send Bess and Ginn to KC for Bowe ina heartbeat. I may even thrown in a #2 as well. Problem is at the end of this season no one will want even Bess if he does not start catching more balls that go his way.

ginn not the problem
well a little bit he is lol , the problem was no freakin pass rush , brady had all day to pick us off. after all that shit joey talked all week he didnt even get a tackle, defense killed us this week . godddddd if we could only mesh all the parts together at once we could rack up some wins. the good part is n e has 3 tough games coming up , hopefully they lose at least 2. divisionally we re still ahead, but need to put some w ’ s on the board

GET OFF GINN --- THE WHOLE TEAM NEEDS SOME WORK
Did the ball hit him in the hands? ? YES was it an easy catch? ? NO … It was a 100mph fastball thrown ahead of him in which he could barely get his fingers on. Do I want him to catch the pass? ? YES but its not going to make me think the guy sucks because he does have talent if used properly and that would be some at WR but I don’t expect him to make any incredible catches like that.
There were a couple drop passes today by all receivers and probably the more important one was by Hartline which would have been a first down on the MIA 45 giving the drive some life … second time in two weeks the receivers have let the team down
I don’t know how you can look at this one play and constantly wanna get rid of this guy.

ginn is just another Ohio state joke. I hope Hartline will not be the same way. I wish Miami would have gotten Louis Murphy. The reason Ginn needs to go is he chokes on the big plays and his fist thought after the catch is get down or get out of bounds his drop today ended the game that is a Fact now we might not have won if he has caught the very catch-able ball but Henne would have had four more downs to work with Ginn will never be a true NFL receiver so move him this off season.

Another Ohio State Joke?
Is that why they have produced the 2nd most number of active players currently in the NFL?? mmmmmmmmm
by jjschmid72 on Nov 8, 2009 8:12 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Probably USC
In terms of conferences though, the SEC easily puts out the most players

USC does currently have the most
I know the SEC probably puts out the most as a conference. I know the Big Ten sucks. I’m not trying to compare conferences. But for Doberman to say he is “another Ohio State joke” is a joke itself considering they put out a ton of players that make it in the NFL.
Does Florida put out joke players because Derrick Harvey isn’t doing much, or because Jabar Gaffney has never been anything more than a no. 4 wide receiver? No
Does USC put out joke players because Matt Leinhart and Reggie Bush never lived up to expectations? No
So to say Ohio State puts out “joke” players in the NFL is one of the dumbest statements I have heard in a while. Save the stupid comments for the newspaper blogs with the other meathead fans.

The U is first.
Miami has put out the most pros out of any school in the US.
by TEC75 on Nov 9, 2009 2:00 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
For now I guess
I didn’t realize they were still no. 1. I know they used to be but since they weren’t really sending anyone to the NFL the last few years I figured they weren’t no. 1 anymore.

Actually I'm wrong.
The most as of 2008 is Notre Dame with 495 pros and USC is at a distant second with 415. Sorry, was going off old info with The U.

Not historically
I was originally referring to current players in the NFL. I know OSU is 2nd, and either Miami or USC is first. I know it used to be Miami…

You're right.

Yes, yes me too
I think we should have drafted Louis Murphy also myself. He has all the physical attributes and the speed, plus he is a bit more physical. i think he has the potential to be the next Desean Jackson. But we didnt and we have Teddy. I think his biggest problem is he needs to stick to special teams. If we cant trade him than I say keep him strictly on S/T and thats it. If he wants an extension he needs to take one hell of a pay cut or go home. It is true, w/o him in the game the whole time, defenses stack the box.

Sorry Ohio state Fans but I am a Gator Fan and get a little worked up when Ginn costs us games. As for Lois Murphy the guy can play look at how he has outplayed dey-hey-bey who is another Ted Ginn type receiver all speed no hands and afraid of contact.

How do you think we feel?
For how frustrated you get with Ginn you should try to be an Ohio State and Dolphins fan. You guys get frustrated with him, and you never liked him to begin with. I was (I stress the word “was”) a Ted Ginn fan since about 2004. I was one of the few people who was not mad when we drafted him because I saw first-hand how electric he was in college. I bought his jersey as soon it was available. His lack of progression is maddening. I defended him since draft day, but I just can’t do it any more. I don’t expect him to be physical, but damn. As a former college center his ducking out of bounds before first down markers drives me nuts. If you are going to hit the deck at least dive forward!

Comedy!
Sorry man! It’s nice to see a Ohio State fan who can see ho Ginn is not getting it done and not pretend he is! Anyhow I know what it’s like to watch your college hero’s falter at the next level see Jabar Gaffney! All the Karate Kid bullshit his dad and uncle taught him from pass in the dark to standing behind a tree and listening for the ball. At Least we can see that Teddy Bear is a return man only and we do need a number one. I wonder about Patrick Crayton we know that Parcells likes to take players from the Dallass Cowgirls. How about this Phin fans can we all agree that with the possible exception of the Saints the NFC is inferior to the AFC?

Enough with Ted Ginn. It is the stupid's coaching staff fault for
insisting on having him on the field being a go to guy. Before it was Ginn’s fault, but by now, the coaching staff should know better. How in the hell do you throw at him, when he’s not even been on the field, on 4th down? Please explain. When you got Camarillo catching balls with his ass. I’ve had it with this coaching staff.

Well, not that it's necessarily Henne's fault because of the play,
but why does he feel the need to target him? Let him pull off some coverage and hit up Hartline or Camarillo or Bess. And Fasano is starting to piss me off. Maybe being second behind a very effective Haynos might knock some sense into him.

Yeah that's a good point. I'd expect that kind of thought process from Pennington,
not from Henne though. In my opinion, Henne had a bad game again, but this specific play was a well thrown ball by him
by MauMontaV5 on Nov 8, 2009 8:22 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Henne played a bad game???
Are you kidding me. He threw it to the open man! It’s not his fault Ginn didn’t catch it. Is he supposed to throw it into coverage and ignore an open receiver??

I agree with MainePhinsFan. Look a Teddy Bear's HANDS
Teddy Bear has paws not hands. His hands are usually out of position when the ball comes to him. He has been hit in the face, hit on the elbow, hit on the chest and then yesterday he jumps up like a fat white pre schooler with his hands crossed. No wonder he can’t catch anything but a cold!
That is not to say it was an easy catch. However there were at least 2 people I can think of playing yesterday who would have MADE THAT CATCH! I’ll give you a hint. One was a FORMER dolphin and one wears #81!!!!
