Playoffs? Playoffs?
Great ESPN article on the playoff picture.
"...the Patriots are about to embark on the AFC's most difficult remaining schedule. Their opponents are 38-28 for a robust .576 winning percentage.
The Dolphins, meanwhile, have the AFC's third-easiest path and the smoothest in the division by far. Their remaining opponents are 30-35 for a .462 win percentage. "
"The Miami Dolphins actually might catch the New England Patriots. "
We are still in this folks.

Yep, as simple as this:
We beat the Pats this sunday and we’ve got a 50/50 chance of taking the division again. We loose and we are basically out of the picture at 3-5. But again, if we beat the pats this sunday then everything is looking really bright in the near future, because like you say, the schedule does get a lot easier.

Plus, if we beat the Pats we would be 4-0 in divisional matches, with them being 1-2.
That would go a looooong way for our chances of winning the division. Because just as last year, we could end up with the same record, realistically a 10-6 and win the division because of the tie braker. Im telling you, this is by far the most important game of the season.
What worries me about though is that the weather could show up up in New England and really give them a huge home advantage, not only phisically but mentally. Bottom line, when the Pats play at home and is snowing badly, the destroy teams. last year Arizona and this year Ten.

Bad weather means you need to rely on the ground game
we should hope for a blizzard with our running game. Anything to help ground that air attack. I am really wanting to see what our corners can do against Randy Moss this year. He’s had it easy the past 2 years and now we got somethin for him… A smack in the jaw courtesy of Vontae Davis

Playoffs? Playoffs?
Don’t talk about playoffs. I just hope we can win a game.

Win or Lose we are still looking ok .. I would defenitly prefer 4-4 over 3-5 though
Agreed that it looks favorable moving forward but lets just try and win this game first.
In all honesty with what your say all we really need to do is split with the Pats and hope for a better division record which we would have as the Pats have already lost to the Jets. A lose will look bad on the record right now but not impossible to overcome … we would just have to have the same record against the teams that we would even if we lost the second game to the Pats

I'd love to go into Gilette and really beat their ass on Sunday
For me, nothing is more satisfying than beating down Tom Brady in Massachusetts.
I am interested to see how Belicheat handles Ted Ginn Jr. on kickoffs.

Wow, we got some serious props from ESPN for once...
Chad Pennington’s season-ending shoulder injury was supposed to doom them, but they’re still are good enough to beat any team in the league.
