This is the turning point!
Look I already made a post similar to this, but my statements are following through. I just posted a comment on the key matchups with the following write up, but I felt it deserved more attention. So here it is:
Man I couldn’t have said it any better myself. I look at a few of our games and think we are way better then scores and results show for.
Take the first Jets game for example:
2 fakes on 4th down and a bad pass interference call really affected the blowout it should’ve been.
Now the Saints game:
you mention all of the facts in this one, but take away an obvious fumble into the endzone which resulted in a serious momentum killer for us and you have a different outcome in my opinion.
Now this past week Jets game:
They didn’t show on AFN (Armed Forces Network) this week so I was only to measure the stats - shout out to Mr. Medic, he knows whats up here!
I think a lack of offensive production is a result of the two kickoff returns for TDs – this also didn’t provide for any rest on defense – so given that alone I think that made the game closer than it should’ve been.
Going into this game I think we are going to once again beat the odds. We have nearly beat the two best teams in the league (Colts and Saints – only two undefeated teams still) and one of which I think we should’ve won despite the refs contributions. The Pats have yet to play anyone to really prove their record in my opinion. They got beat by the Jets for heavens sake. Lets be serious here people, at the beginning of the season Matty said all we have to do is match our division rivals and that is about to go down. The Pats are looking at playing us, New Orleans and the Colts in the next few weeks. So although the have the division lead right now they are about to play the toughest part of their schedule while we are heading into some of our easier game finally.
Lets not panic everyone, if we win this week the AFC East still comes through MIA!!!!!! And not to think of the possible bad outcome, but even if we are to split against the Pats with a lose they are still in a tough situation with their upcoming games!

Has any team ever gone
6-10 and only beat their division teams?
Or more likely, not made the playoffs despite sweeping their division opponents?
Dolphins and Gators baby!

This is what the Pats deal with year in and year out.
They have to deal with playing the #1 team in each division. The Patriots made it look a lot easier than it actually is, am I right?

are you serious, that's how it works?
We are going to face every single division winner? But not everyone right? I don’t think we face the champion of the NFC North.

Well, I exaggerated.
You face the last year’s #1 team in each AFC division, as well as 1 in the NFC, according to the division we face.
6 Games are in the AFC East
4 Games are against AFC XX
4 Games are against NFC XX
2 Games are against respective place in remaining AFC divisions.

Pats Suck! OVERRATED
yeah but the Pats have been able to roll over our division most of the time. Now the competition is getting stiffer for them. Its just a matter of us winning some of the other damn games!

i definitely know how it is out there.
i cant believe they didnt show this game on AFN. WTF?? The rematch to the unforgettable MNF matchup, AFN needs to get their priorities straight!! All they have been showing back here on tv is tedd ginns returns all week.
You’re right navy, these next 3-4 weeks will be a huge momentum swing in the division, as i see it, its ours for the taking if we want it.

If you get the Sunday ticket
You can watch the game on the computer….regardless of where you are….assuming that you have access to the website and the bandwidth to receive it. Just throwing that out since that is one of the perks of Sunday ticket. The Marine Corps has me traveling all the time, but I still watch the game on the computer via Sunday ticket.

Tell me about it!
yeah the internet speed is not capable of keeping up over here, but I will be heading home this weekend. Probably will end up in Germany on a layover for the game or be in flight. Either way I need you all to pull my chearing for me. When I get home I plan on buying the NFL season pass so I can stream the games without buying $5 beers at the local sports bar.

Yeah figured that might be the constraint
I think it just depends on where you are at over there. Depending on where you are in Iraq, the speeds can be pretty good. Afghanistan, forget about it. That place blows Iraqi balls times 400!

What up Navy...
… your observations are right-on… my only worry is the refs… what with the Attention Whore, Brady, giving acting lessons on the field.
Let them play refs!

Refs Suck!
I definitely feel that there has been some favoritism against the fins this year. Sure I have a slightly biased opinion because I am a DOLPHAN, but it is obvious in some cases. Pass interference against Braylon Edwards game 1 versus the JETS. Then fumble in the endzone against the Saints. I know there were other ones as well, but I can’t pinpoint other specifics right now. If I recall there were one or two calls against the Colts as well. My question is whether the NFL is afraid of a change in the game with the wildcat power running formation so lets force them to lose or is it just straight forward F Bill Parcells? I don’t know what it is, but I think if the roles were reversed and we got a call here or there I think we would be running our division much easier.
Outside of all of that crap though – The boys need to bring it this weekend and set a tone that as stated earlier by JP the AFC East still comes through MIA!!!!

this is looking a lot like last season.....
start off slow, but then win 90% of our final games, we can do it, our schedule has really softened up this year

the pats are so old, they have grandkids who've already retired in this league
dolphins can do this by keeping brady off the field and WEARING down the pats D early in the game.
