Chiefs claim Chris Chambers
So that should put an end to that debate. Though I would love to just know if the Dolphins did even consider putting in their own claim for Chambers.

Miles Austin
Expect this regime to go hard after Miles Austin in free agency who was brought in by Parcells in ’06

Finally
Someone who is thinking the same thing I am. jerry is not going to be able to re-sign him unless he gets rid of Patrick Crayton or Roy williams. And I knew CC would head to either Cleveland or KC. It only makes sense. They are hurting as much as we are.

Who knows if we did
My first inclination was to sign Chambers for sure….but after you let your heart stop screaming and you listen to your head, its obvious we dont want him again. Matty you did a pretty good job of convincing me of that in your ealrlier post. In the grand sceme of things, we all know the trifecta likes to build thru the draft. There are going to be a lot of recievers in the 2010 draft. We’ll draft one or two. Sure would like to see Turner out on the field sooner than later as well.

Considering this year still seems to me like more of a developmental year than anything else, passing on CC was the right move.

Scoring isn't our immediate need right now.
Even though we need a true #1 WR, we’re scoring 30+ points a game, we can afford to wait until the offseason when our options will be much greater in trades, free agency and the draft.
Really, if we were going to make a move, make it a defensive one. Because scoring 30 points is great, unless you are giving up 29-31…..

it makes more sense for them...
because of the roster spot they have for the Johnson suspension. They need all the help they can get.
Lets be glad we have youth, chemistry and solid coaching. We’re on our way.

Dolphins are sending some scouts up to the Vanndy-UF game. Perhaps we’ll have a Spikes sighting in our future?

That's rather senseless. QB for once in the past 10 years, is not on our shopping list.
And I don’t think Tebow will enjoy being the highest paid back-up in NFL history.

I like spikes
sounds like a good choice, how many years have we agonized over the has been players we keep getting , dont get me wrong ,I loved chambers in his day and at the time did nt understand him leaving , but its all clear now .what we need now is young players that we can build our team on for the long term. I’ve been a fan since ‘69 and lived thru the glory years and the gory years, i’d like to see the glory days again . I think we ’re starting to pull it together(god willing and the tuna s blessing). spikes though looks like he could be a good fit for us, sorry tebow just isnt a complete q b , a great halfback or tight end maybe

by Acemmett on Nov 3, 2009 6:12 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Tebow will in no way work for us.
The guy has horrible throwing skills, every expert says he needs to work on them to be an NFL QB. I think that unless he converts over to a RB, he is going to be a huge project for any team to be a viable QB in the NFL. And we have no need for another person who fancies himself a QB who really isn’t. We already have a project to work on in Pat White.

Here is a leader there is way more thing to football than stats
look at Drew brees take away the stats he will still be good because he puts everything he can to prepare
by Acemmett on Nov 3, 2009 7:46 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
But being a leader doesn't mean squat if he can't make throws.
He can be a leader all he wants but if he can’t complete a pass to someone than he isn’t worth it. I would rather spend a draft pick on someone who can help the team on the field, not just provide moral support.

Doesn't matter
I’ll bet a paycheck that Jags trade up to draft him in the 1st. They need to bolster their fanbase. Speaking as someone who went to UF when Tebow started there, and have several friends from Jax, every Jags fan wants him. He is a hometown hero.
If nothing else, the Jags will draft him just for the fans to get excited and come back.

I prefer long term gain, than short term gain!
Hey look at Dallas now they are a good team built through the draft hey Tony Romo,Miles Austin,Felix Jones,Jason Witten,D Ware Parcells had Miles under 3 years as a Developmental Player and he is Doing great now!I have the same feeling about Pat Turner Chad Henne also Parcells wants a 3 yr starter smart and tough watch out we will be amazing next season count on it.

We are miles ahead of the Jets and Bills, the Patriots are 50/50 old and young so it will
be a toss up between the pats and phins for years to come.I know i’m a homer but we will have young fresh players in rotation with some seasoning. My thing is if we don’t get any pushes out of Dan Henning this year or next season, I say can him!Although he did take the Panthers to the Super Bowl and NFC Championship, in his 4 year stint.NFC Championship twice, playoffs 3 out of 4 yrs. I like are Chances I admit.Tell me what you think fellow phin nation. You can look up all coaching staff info. on our website some ppl critize our DC but his coaching record is outstanding alot of our coaches our great except the WR Coach he is young and a UCLA guy i don’t like him as Much.Sorry for the long post but I had to make this a point.

I really, really, really hate t osay this, but the JEST are right there with us. They have an above average defense and there offense is a year or two shy of being good as well. Ilook for it to be Dolphins verse JESTS for years to come.

the Jets are doomed
Their roster is unbalanced and the salary is out of wack. The instability of Tbaum and Ryan will set them back even further. So I definately agree but the Pats are in a more advantageous position. Brady is Brady but you can only live on that so long. They have quality youth, I especially admired their draft this year. They also hae even more ammo going foward in picks and aging players that they’ve been able to parlay into picks which I’m sure will continue.
Dan Henning as been nothing but solid. He’s following a gameplan and I’m sure he’s got Parcells in his ear at times. Be thankful that you don’t have to worry about him getting hired as a HC because of his age. He’s providing stability at OC, something that we haven’t had for a while. I’m convinced they make calls based on mixing up tendancies as well. Sometimes they just have to throw in order to confuse opposing coordinators going foward.
I won’t stand for Henning bashing.
Sparano deserves more criticism than Henning for his role in the gameplan, play calling as well as the botched TO 2 weeks ago and the obvious bad call on the 2 pointer.
Even wth that I won’t stand for Sparano bashing either.
These guys are doing a great job, scoring 30+ points andif anything its our D that needs to step and and create the pressure they’re capable of creating.

Pathetic.. this coaching staff is just plain stupid at times. How many times are they going to pass on a receiver who could make a some big plays?
Im not saying he is a perfect #1… but he would of helped the receivers we have now and he would have opened up the run much more then it is now.
Henne is now our leader. Lets see what the guy can do !

thats simple enough
I am surprised they jumped on him. I suppose it shows the fans dedication to upgrading the roster but the price just seems high. We’ll se what happens in KC but the fact Pioli jumped on him makes me question if Parcells would have as well.
Maybe Parcells got him to pick him up to keep him from other teams.

no we couldn't have
the Chiefs have a higher waiver priority based on their record. so it wouldn’t have mattered if the Dolphins made a claim or not.
by Matty I on Nov 4, 2009 12:21 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
do research on the waiver wire process
It goes in order of the worst to the best record. The Chiefs haven’t a worse record than the Dolphins had the option first.
Thats how we were able to claim so many at the beginning of last year. We had the worst record going into the offseason so we had first dibs on anyone waived until the start of the season.

ask yourself this
Following a 1-15 season and hiring a rookie HC, would you be happy with going 14-9 in the next 23 reg season games, win the AFC East in the first year and begin the second year 3-0 in the division?
Thank who ever you pray to for this staff and the men they are molding.
