Golden Tate

Ok i guess ya know what this is about, i watched Golden Tate for quite some time now and i think this man is (to me) the best reciever in the draft second to Dez Bryant. He has great hands, runs good routes, and has great speed. This man could be the next Steve Smith just without the bitchy attitude. It also seems in most draft boards he is going to be taken in the middle of the second round or later (believe me 8/10 times this happened.) We should be picking around the middle if we don't go to Playoffs, but if we do, we trade to whoever picks him (Hopefully the Raiders) Greg Camarillo and a later pick. I know it's hard, i don't want to let Greg Camarillo go after the whole 07 season but sometimes for things to become better they have to become worse. Besides this man could very well be our # 1 reciever. Also we already have two Greg Camarillo's,  why do we need a third? Well time to show you guys some prove to show that i am not crazy, This man is going to be a lil beast:

Notice how great hands he has and how well he runs his routes. Also watch out for his ability to take a hit.

More after the jump

Star-divide

Notice his vertical leap and how he out jumped those two defenders to get the ball.He also showed his physicality by fighting for the ball which most of our receivers probrably could not do.

This some highlights from the 2008 season as to show he can produce huge seasons each and every season.

Imagine this guy with a QB like Chad Henne wow that would be AMAZING. Well thats all hope i convinced ya.

he looks like he might be a bust, but yes, he does have a lot of good qualities

but we do need someone that will DEFINITELY make an impact, that we don’t have to worry about him being a bust, or something like that

thats why i say we need a vet

He isnt that great really..

Yes he beats one on one coverage against bad corners repeatedly but he doesnt do that against legit competition and a safety overtop.. I’d spend a 3rd on him but that’s all

But how many #1 recievers did that in college? plenty of them it's just if they make anything out of it and Golden Tate does

And next he's going to let them paint their fingernails.

Norman? Is he related to Albert? I guess we know who isn't a genius.

I think he’ll be a decent #2 or a very good slot WR. I’m not interested.

Give me Benn, Lafell, or that quitter (Williams) from Syracuse (would be a great gamble in RD 4 or later). I’d take the unpolished kid from Georgia Tech over Tate, too.

We wake & blunder on, / wiser, on the whole, / but not more accurate.

Demaryus Johnson

guy goes up and catches bad balls all game… I love his run blocking and aggression in the air

I probably know Judo! How many of you can make the same boast?

Demarius Thomas

Not Johnson. He is great at blocking, and you have to be to play at GT. We run all day long. I don’t know if any of you saw it, and I know it was just one play, but yesterday against UGA, we were down late and had 4th and 10. There was like 1:25 left and we had to convert to stay in it. Well Nesbitt drops back and Thomas is wide open just past the first down marker. Nesbitt throws a good pass right on the money and Thomas just drops it. He wasn’t running or getting hit or anything. Just standing there, wide open. Again, it’s just one play, but it makes me question his ability in the clutch.

True

i like what i have seen out of him. i don’t care how tall you are,i want someone with heart and this kid has that and great hand.Plus theres one thing to run by someone in college and do that in the NFL i.e. Ted Ginn, the kid know how to take contact and make yards after, thats what i liked most about Tate. Eric Decker is another really good wideout that the phins should have there eyes on; big, runs really good routes and tough as hell.just go to you tube and look at the shot he takes while catching a TD this year, busted open his chin and the kid gets sewed up and comes back into the game, awesome.

by phinsfan777 on Dec 1, 2009 5:58 AM EST up reply actions

Well you sure as hell dont see Ginn making grabs like the one Tate made against USC and the last one in the first Vid

but aside from that I like Tate but I don’t want another young wideout on this team I want a proven vet who would help out our already young unit and also Hennes development

I agree

Tate seems to be everything we all wished Ginn would be for the past few years and he would allow Henne to stretch the field and maybe the fact that he played in Weiss pro style offense will make the transition A little easier . I also like big tall WR’s like may other people but as we learned with Turner that still does not mean immediate impact although I do believe some day he will but I think Tate is our answer especially if we can get cody and then pick up Tate later.

i don't know about Cody but Tate is yeah in my opinion a #1 reciever

Great Hands, good route runner and physical just how i like them

Cody for sure in round 1

Kid has alittle bit of a weight issue but as we saw with Saliei the phins are good at getting NT in shape and big Ferg probably not going to be back next year. Plus i don’t see alot of WR going in the first round, maybe Dez but thats about it,so we’ll have a really good shot of grabbing Tate in round 2 or 3 after we get a NT or ILB.

by phinsfan777 on Dec 1, 2009 6:05 AM EST up reply actions

Defense defense defense

I think we need to go get some defensive players in the first two maybe three rounds of this years up coming draft. NT, ILB and maybe even a Safety.
