After getting a year off from having to play outside in upstate New York, the Dolphins return to Buffalo for the first time since their disgusting 38-17 loss back in December of 2007. Of course, Tony Sparano has never lost to the Bills since becoming head coach in 2008 and is 4-1 on the road against division opponents.
Though Justin Smiley is active, Nate Garner will again start at left guard with Smiley only seeing action in an emergency situation (such as last Thursday night). As expected, Paul Soliai will start at NT in place of the injured Jason Ferguson. This is a big game for Soliai, who claims he struggled so much back in New England because he was trying to play through that ankle injury that cost him the past two weeks. So we'll see how he does.
Gus Johnson will call the game for CBS - so that's always good.

you’ll never get an atta boy from me when an rb throws the ball. it rarely works. your qb is usually the most talented athlete on the field. we need to stop taking the ball out of his hands. a few wildcat running plays here and there is fine. anymore than that is asking for trouble.
here's the difference
NOBODY on the field expects pass from a RB. That’s why the HB pass works, and that’s why LT has so many TD passes in his career. It’s a good deceptive play, and you usually end up with a wide open WR.

the timing on that play was off.. Ricky had everybody sucked in, but when he looked up to throw, Haynos wasn’t there yet. That gave the LB’s time to recover. If Haynos gets a clean release, or Ricky keeps it tucked a second longer, it’s a TD. Haynos was open, Draft just undercut it.

I’d rather see some creative shit and make the D stand there and look for an extra second, than just have this vanilla run run run punt offense that puts me to sleep.

that throw was a pretty tight spiral
and you gotta remember, Henne in the backfield, means the D is prepped for some kind of pass. Ricky in the WC, nobody is thinking pass, and the only reason Draft recovered enough to get that pick is because Haynos took too long to get out and Ricky was standing there showing pass for a couple seconds.
