Possible First Rounder
i am always trying to think of some players we will need in this upcoming draft. So me being both a UNC fan and a miami dolphins fan (i know weird combination) i was thinking of maybe going marvin austin in the first round. If we keep winning then our approximate draft position would be perfect to grab a guy like austin. Marvin could be that fix at DT and he is fast. I dont know how much you guys have seen of him but this guy is great. he is first round talent but it depends if he comes out this year. I think he will because there would be too much money to turn down for this guy. Want to know what you guys thought about Marvin Austin being a dolphin's first rounder next season.

Well, when does trading open back up?
I hear Shaun Rogers wants out of Cleveland (who doesn’t) and we have plenty of spare parts to sell.

UNC and Dolphins is no weirder than Dolphins and Longhorns. LOL. So I’ll throw out Lamar Houston, DT from Texas

Definitely don’t see us addressing NT in the first round. WR and ILB seem the obvious options – out side chance we go after a OLB if its a value pick.

Austin aint going in the 1st
I’m familiar with him but he’s been overrated ever since high school.. Cam Thomas is a better prospect than Marvin

1. Golden Tate (he wont be available for too long especially if he runs around a 4.4-4.5 - or even lower)
And he’s well worth it. he has that toughness, great strong hands, and that tenacity to make a big play.

Rolando McClain
I’ve seen every game he has played in since his freshman year and this man can play… If he is on the board when we pick and we don’t get him then I will have a meltdown of epic proportions… I like Terrence Cody but I just can’t justify picking him with a top 20 pick for the main fact that he is a two down player… If he could slim down and get into good enough shape to be an every down player maybe but I don’t see it…

guys I'm telling you we dont want Spikes OR Taylor Mays
Both have limited potential and character issues… There will be alot better options in the 1st round then those 2

Mays seems like the prototypical coach killer – amazing physical talent that doesn’t translate to football ability.
If we can get a legit #1 in RD 2, I’d love to draft McClain in the first. But, if D. Bryant falls to us in the first, he’ll be hard to pass up.

spikes is an absolute monster, and the trifecta will take care of “character issues”.

Suh will be gone by the time we pick
as will Berry… :(
I’d actually wouldn’t mind if Miami traded up for Berry. He’s definitely the best safety to come out of college in years. Close as a sure thing as you can get

I think if we pass on Terrence Cody that Marvin Austin can be had with our second round pick if that's the route we take.

Dan Williams is definitely a second round possibility for us
I actually like him at NT more than Cody.
We shouldn’t worry about the DTs that will go early because both of them (Suh and McCoy) are more suited to the 4-3. I can see Cody dropping pretty far if he continues to play poorly the rest of this season. It’s one thing if he struggles to get into opposing backfields, but if he’s having problems beating his man and narrowing gaps, his worth basically falls off the table.
McClain is the best ILB in this draft, but he’ll probably be gone within the first 10 picks if he has a strong finish to this season. I am not as against Spikes as some other people are, but I need to see how he finishes this season and what he does at the combine before I even think about committing to him as a possible Dolphin

I wouldn't be surprised if we go after Boldin this offseason
And then get someone like “the quitter” (I am all about that nickname) Orangemen to learn under him. I think the quitter has prototypical height (6’2) and runs a legitimate 4.4, and if the Trifecta likes him, why not?
Arrelious Benn is another option for us at wideout. I would be surprised if we drafted this position before round three, though.
