Week 12 Power Rankings
What If Sports ranks them 18th
Peter King at SI ranks them 13th: Valiant win by the Dolphins, playing without Wildcat triggerman Ronnie Brown. But the one stat that has to change for Miami to be a serious playoff contender in the last six weeks is this one: 24.4 points allowed per game. The Chad Henne-led offense is just not good enough to be scoring in the high 20s and 30s weekly.
The National Football Post ranks them 14th: The loss of Ronnie Brown forced the Dolphins to become a conventional offense—and you can do that when you have Ricky Williams.
The Sporting News ranks them 18th: Their running game now depends on Ricky Williams, and he looks up to the task.
ProFootball Weekly ranks them 18th: Joey Porter kept mouth closed, pressure cranked up.
CBS Sports ranks them 16th: Chad Henne is growing up. As he does, they will be better. The playoffs are still possible. But don't lose at Buffalo.
WEEI ranks them 18th: The Dolphins finally are back to .500 after starting the season 0-3. Miami’s run game is one of the best in the league, but this team lacks great play-making wide receivers and will struggle to win games if they get into a shootout with solid passing teams.
USA Today ranks them 18th
ESPN ranks them 17th: Recent losses of Jason Ferguson and Ronnie Brown to injury won't help the Dolphins' late playoff run.
Fox Sports ranks them 14th: Miami's ground machine didn't miss a beat with the resurgent Ricky Williams getting full-time carries last week. Credit the coaching staff with regrouping and winning five of seven games following the season-ending injury to starting QB Chad Pennington.
Yahoo! Sports ranks them 13th: How many of the people who constantly make jokes about Ricky Williams’ history of marijuana use are within 10 yards of a bong while doing so?
AVERAGE RANK: 16.09
