The Long Run: Forward Progress
The Dolphins were able to get back to .500 this week and keep 2 games back of New England. Like suspected, it appears the Jets and Bills wont be competing for the crown.

2 games back, 6 to go. Now while we didn't move up in the AFC East race, we are in a position to do so with the next two games.

A Miami win followed by a New England loss is VERY possible next week because Buffalo stinks and New Orleans is 10-0. The Monday Night game will be huge between the Saints and the Pats. If things go that way, next Sunday night the Dolphins and the Patriots will be playing for the #1 spot in the AFC East. If Miami comes away with a win there, both teams will have identical records but Miami will own the tiebreaker for division record and the #1 spot will be ours to lose.

WILD-CARD TIE BREAKING RULES

- Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
- Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
While we weren't able to move up any games in the division, we made progress in the Wild Card race thanks to Pittsburgh losing to KC. As of now the 2 Wild Card spots belong to the Jaguars and the Steelers, both only 1 game above us. With Denver sliding to their 4th straight loss, SD pushes itself into the its division lead and the Broncos fighting for a Wild Card spot. Other enjoyable losses this week include the Ravens and the Texans. As far as the Wild Card is concerned, the only bad news was that the Bills blew another late lead and allowed the Jags to win.

Well, Jacksonville seems to be the only team firing on all cylinders right now.

The only guarantee we have to make the playoffs is to win all 6 remaining games.
If we do that, the only team that can finish ahead of us would be the Broncos (if they win the rest of their games). All the other teams we would own the tie breakers over them. Which could put us as high as the 3rd seed, or as low as the 6th seed.
.... and they will... ending up with an 11-5 record and winning their frist playoff game..!

After the Miami game, barring injury, New England will probably win out.
They will finish 11-5 IF Miami beats them in the rematch in Miami (and they lose to New Orleans Monday Night).
AFC EAST Championship is there for the retaking…IF New Orleans beats New England and IF Miami beats Buffalo
Abandoned the Draft Sean Smith at #25 Bandwagon to Join the Draft Sean Smith at #61 Bandwagon and get Vontae Davis and Chris Clemons. Trio > me.
Our goal
the next 2 games are must wins.
1 week at a time.
Don’t get fooled by Buffalo we need to walk out with a win.
After that, we’re playing for everything we got when we play NE. We’re playing for 1st place AT HOME. Can’t ask for more than that.
Once we’re in 1st place it will be up to us to keep the intensity rolling and will be our’s to take.
Laces out!

Suck it Pats, Bills and most of all... the god damn jets.

We're only playing for 1st if NE loses this week.
If NE wins, even if we beat them next week, we’re still down a game.
