NO

Tim Tebow will never become an elite QB in the NFL. Not even an average QB. He can’t run around the field in the NFL like he does now in college. He’ll get demolished. Plus he doesn’t have an amazing arm.

even at that, dolphins need a big strong go to guy like Calvin Johnson from Detroit!!!we have no1 really there to win us a game, maybe bess but thats it!!and tebows ratings are some of the best ive seen in a while!!!

you are the dumbest person alive

no i trully believe your are retarded…you think miami should get tim tebow after what Henne is showing us in his first year as a starter and second year in the pro’s with the receivers we have and after we drafted pat white…i take back what i said…your not retarded, your extremely retarded and stupid….

The one thing you said that kinda prevented me from thinking you were joking was that we need a guy like Calvin Johnson which everyone has obviously agreed…but then again show me one team in the NFL that couldn’t benefit from having Calvin on their team…yes we need a true NO. 1 wr…how long did it take you to figure that out?

Every NORMAL dolphin fan has been begging for that for the past 5-6 years if not more.

Please do everyone a favor and don’t write dumb posts asking people to draft Tim Tebow.

Then I apologize!

I’m sorry for what I said if its true that you don’t follow college football or know anything regarding him. With that being said, Tim Tebow is not nearly as productive passing in the pocket as he is rushing the ball. We have seen time and time again quarterbacks that try and run the ball fail in the nfl as prolific quarterbacks, mainly vince young and michael vick. He doesnt have the pocket presence and arm/accuracy that is needed and doesnt play in an nfl system type of offense.

Also, Chad henne has been playing very well given his experience and what he has to work with aside from Bess. He is our QB of the future and has shown great poise and confidence at times when other quaterbacks like Mark Sanchez would’ve crumbled and cried. We need to save our picks and use them on positions such as NT, WR, and LB as well as depth in other positions.

Lets all hope the remaining dolphin players can stay healthy and have a productive second half of the season!

poor robby :)

Tebow is a college QB BUT he doesn’t have the tools of an nfl QB strong arm ect

Confidence breeds success, self-doubt breeds failure

by Blaze453 on Nov 23, 2009 1:23 PM EST reply actions

Tebow doesn't fit.

I haven’t seen anything to suggest that Henne isn’t the answer. We are finally getting away from the WC, and now you want it to come back. And he’s the anti-thesis of Marino. And Pat White needs to be traded for picks or something we need.

I agree with Farorfox

I strongly think we should make a move to trade Pat White at the end of the season. We picked up Thigpen, remember? I’ve heard nothing but good things about his athleticism (the reason we picked white). He is still relatively young, and after he learns the system he could be a good enough wildcat QB for us. He comes cheaper than white and I think the wildcat plays will be really phased out two seasons from now, maybe not completely out, but much less than we are seeing. We’re one all-star receiver away from a severe WC cutback.
Basically we are still rebuilding, and holding onto White while he still has value doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. I don’t think the coaches are real huge on white either, I mean how often to we see him actually make a pass? Get a draft pick trade done before he wastes away on the bench. It’s just my opinion and I can tell you first hand I’ve been wrong many times before.

by Nole-Phin on Nov 23, 2009 1:51 PM EST reply actions

We need WR

but u have to remember this,Pat White was one of the top Qbs in the combine and i believe that he needs a good few games to bring his game out!!!i wouldnt worry about him this year, get him playing more next yr,this yrs about learning, the same for Henne, what the Dolphins should do is i think trade 1 or 2 of our recievers ie Ginn,Camarillo and try and get a go to guy!!!we also have big turner who could be a big player in years to come if hes still here!!!

by mattrob23 on Nov 23, 2009 1:57 PM EST reply actions

Yeah, but why do we need him?

It’d be like having Manning and Brees and Marino at the same time. Why not sell two of them and get your money’s worth?

You gotta hate to lose more than you want to win

by alwaysafan on Nov 23, 2009 4:38 PM EST reply actions

I am a Gator and have watched his every snap since he was a freshman.

He is the greatest college QB of all time, and maybe the best college player of all time as well.

For Pete’s sake, he is a QB and has rushed for more TD’s than Herschel Walker who many believe to be the greatest college RB of all time (I agree).

He’s got 8335 yds passing with 81 TDs, and 2743 yds rushing with 54 TDs.

All that being said, I think he will be an average at best NFL QB. I am tired of arguing this point with my fellow Gators, because everyone is in a love affair with him. No Way in Hell the Trifecta drafts Tebow.

No team will draft Tebow...

He cant throw more than 35 yards. He’e a big strong guy on the NCAA level, but he will get killed at QB in the NFL. Look at BigBen. He gets smaked pretty hard and he’s a big QB. Tebow might make a special teamer. He will get picked up as a UFA after the draft to be a 2nd string fullback at best!

by phatfinfan on Nov 23, 2009 5:11 PM EST reply actions

Oh give me a break

If you think that Tim Tebow won’t be drafted, you are smoking some serious crack. I guarantee that there will be some team out there that will be willing to spend a 2nd or 3rd round pick on him just due to his athleticism. He has tools that can be plugged into other areas besides QB. And with the success that Miami has had with the Wildcat, there will be someone that wants a shot at Timmy as their WC qb.

Now everyone else is right, I don’t think he will have much success in a traditional QB role. But don’t make the mistake of assuming he won’t get drafted!!

by Little Nicky 21 on Nov 24, 2009 3:34 PM EST up reply actions

lol you said he can't throw more than 35 yards

which leads me to believe, you don’t watch football. You said he’ll be undrafted and a second string fullback, which leads me to believe you don’t ever read anything about football. And you say he’ll get smacked around like Big Ben, who’s big, yet Tim (6’3, 245) is heavier than Ben (6’5 240), which leads me to believe you don’t research anything before making claims and comparisons. Your opinion doesn’t count at this point, because it’s completely uninformed.

btw, Parcells, Dungy, and Gruden, all say that Tebow will be successful and should be picked in the top 10. Parcells. Dungy. Gruden. 4 combined Super Bowls, and success at every stop. I think they know a few things..

I agree

if the Wildcat has any future for us, it’s with the RB’s and White running a spread scheme. Some other team is going to install an offense that fits Tebow’s skills, and I do believe he’ll have success in this league, if not as a starting QB, than as a Wildcat-esque weapon (like how we use Pat White right now).

After I really started watching him he is not really all that good. Well.. ok he is good.. I just do not think he is any better then any other good QB and I would take a 2nd year Chad Henne over a rookie Tim Tebow any day.

Tim Tebow.... why he won't be a good NFL QB

Tim Tebow probably the best College QB of all time, however his skills do not transfer well to the pros. First part one thing I do not like and is my opinion is he is Lefty. Not many of them last in the NFL, and my reasoning is everything has to be swapped for them and ball comes out in a different rotation then a righty and can just be bad news (but thats my own gripe)

Tebow is out of the shotgune 90% of the time, reading the field and mechanics from center would have to be better.
He has an awkward and low release, making him a prime target to get stripped. It is not out of his hand fast enough to make all the NFL throws, and he is used to scrambling if the play breaks down in college. In the NFL his speed is not going to be a huge weapon cause everyone in the NFL is fast, so these are a few points!

Tim Tebow would be a fine 3rd or 4th round pick for a team that’s looking to implement a wrinkle into its Offense. I think he can succeed in a limited role in the NFL. To us, though, he’s of little value. I doubt he’d run the Spread in the NFL any better than Thigpen did for KC last season. And, we need at least one big-time WR, a legit ILB, help at OLB (unless Moses develops), and NT depth. We also might need TE help.

We wake & blunder on, / wiser, on the whole, / but not more accurate.

Really? Seriously? Ummm NO!

Tebow has the gift of being an elite “athelete” he just happens to play QB for a dominating clooege team. This does not automatically translate to the pro game. There have been many Heisman trophy winners who were not top draft picks and many of the recent winners have been absolute flops.Pat White does not have the size or the tools to be a great quarterback.Chad Henne has the tools,he needs time and experience,he is getting both this year.I would expect Hennes game to go to the next level in 2010-11.I think tebow will be drafted as an athelete and maybe play TE,personally I think he would be a stud ILB….Just sayin’

I agree

Heisman winners rarley prosper in the nfl and just like con10der said he played in a dominent college program which he could lean on and how long can his bulldozer style scrambling last against the bigger, faster and stronger defensive players of the NFL especially after having a concussion in regards to were he will get drafted i agree with many mocks that jacksonville will be real intrested in him as he will put some much needed fans in the stands as a local but I just can see him progress as he does not even have good accuracy so theres no way we will get him plus our first 3 picks will be NT,LB and WR in no certain order.
