Do I have to cheer for the Jets? Sunday Hell!!!
I hate Sunday's like today. Don't get me wrong, I love watching the Dolphins in prime time, but without a Phins game on Sunday afternoon, I just feel lost. This week it is especially tough because I got to thinking this morning that I might have to root for the Jets today. No Dolphins game and having to root for the Jets, that is Sunday Hell for me!!!
So before you get all over me and wanting to ban me from the site, here is my reasoning. The standings below show where the Phins stand today in the division. With a Jets win today, NE (6-4) will hold a one game lead over the Dolphins (5-5) and the Jets (5-5). The Phins would have the best record in the division (3-1), NE (2-2), and the Jets (2-3). The Phins hold the tie breaker over the Jets because of the division record and beating them twice this year.

I agree. I'll be cheering for the Jets today, we need their win. But then I'll want them to lose the rest of their games.
Don't question my fandominium.

could they both lose lol
or maybe fall in a black hole and vanish not to return till Feb
You gave me the gun... so I shot ya..!
Either loss is pleasing… a Pastie win, spirals the Jesters into wasted football games the rest of the season…
A Jester win brings the Dolphins closer to the playoffs..!

though with ronnie, fergie out I should be rooting for better draft position. Our best hope is N.O. beats the pats and we beat them. WEin out and we are in oneway or another

Personally, I’d take the Patriots over the Jest just to get them out of the wild card race. One less threat = one more chance at a Wild Card, should we not take the division.
If we’re aiming for a division also, its not wrong to think that either. Ideally, NE wins this anyways because NYJ is just a plain weak team, as they’ve proven the past weeks. NE wins here, then loses to NO next week, we’re still in a similar situation. All we have to do is stop the Patriots at home and we have the division lead. This is acceptable, however, we still have strong games against Houston, a recovering Jacksonville team, and the Steelers (Who are now struggling)
I’d take the Pats in this situation to at least solidify a Dolphin wild card slot if we cannot take the division, though it is possible at this point. Getting rid of the Jest here means we have a better chance at it.
I liked the recovering jacksonville part
I got the fuzzies
