You Can't Make this stuff up ; Living in Dolphin Heaven !

So, I go to this swanky little ( not ) sports bar in downtown Miami last night to watch the game. It was billed as "Party with the Pros", and was suppose to have about 10-12 former Dolphins there for autographs and pictures. Cool, I'm all in ! It was a solid group of players, but nowhere did it mention any guys from the '72 team. Know, if you have read any of my post you know I got a stack of photo that I've blown up to 8X10's and take them with me to get signed. I wasn't there 5 minutes and who do I see,..........Jim Kiick !!! I had to different pictures with me & him on hand, .....SCORE !

I have to stop here and give a big thank you to my crew !! All night long "The Stalker" ( Steve ) was saying, " look at him, look at him,.........just like Steve" with demented giggle. I was in heaven last night,......truly. Without him, I would have no collection to speak of,......but that is not the case ! Thanks Buddy !! And then there was Dan, another Ohioan who has moved down here. He too has a collection, but takes a more mellow approach. Kind of a wait and see attitude. On our way in he was telling of how he bought 40-50 Dolphin footballs,.......cheap. I thought he gave one to my Wife to carry as he brought several with him,......no it was a gift. Well, last night I ate like a King & drank like a fish. My Wife, she just had a filet mingion. At the end of the evening Dan picked up the tab. I told him that was not necessary, and he replied " Don't argue with me, you drove !!" Dude would even let me leave the tip ! Thanks Dan ! You are a solid guy.

Back to the players. After we settled in, I was able to get Dwight Stephenson to come over to our table. He spent 5 minutes talking, signing our stuff, and,.....of course I had to get "another" Picture with the HOF'er !

Now I got Kiick to sign a picture of me, him, & Mercury Morris. But, now who do I see cruising the room,....Mercury Morris !!  Who would have thought,.......not me. Another picture please........OK.

Now, at this point I've just about jizzed myself. I've already on this night scored signitures and autographs from Offerdahl ( my childhood hero !! ), Tony Nathen, Mark Higgs, Hugh Green, Troy Staddford,..........I was doing well for myself. NOW HOLD ON FOR THIS ONE !!!!!! IT IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME PHOTO !!!!!!!!!

Kiick, Stephenson, yours truely,........NOW,......Bob Koockenburg (?, spelling ), and Larry Little !!!!!!!!!!!!!! One word,...........CLASSIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you sir, may I have another ??

By halftime most everyone had cleared out. It was probaly for the best, now I could focus on the game. The whole 1st half, during time-outs, in between plays, & commercials I was on the hunt. I won what I clled my "scrub ball" last week at the stadium. Why ? Because it was a Wilson autograph ball with Derek Hagen on it,......that's why ! I came with one signiture on it and left with now having 11 !!!!!!! Now, it will be forever reffered to as my " Party with the Pros" ball !!!!! What a night !!! Dolphins win !!! My collection grows,.......big time !!! Besides all the new photos, I came out of there with six 8X10's  signed !!! Stalker has taught me well, And just when I thought I could one up him in the style department,........he rains on my parade. NOT ,................LOL.

I don't know, but I think,................YOU CAN'T MAKE THEIS SHIT UP !!!!!!!!!!!!
