i met him and got an autograph (2 days after he suffered a concussion, remember when he suffered that)

i met him several times actually…first time was at the mall when he was having an autograph event, another time at Prime 112 (i think) w/ my parents and neighbors (sure most of you Miami residents know that place, actually have met a bunch of athletes there) and we got to talking for a long while, and he actually offered to pay our bill, but my dad refused, even though it was mad expensive…he is a class act

i’m all for bringing Chambers back…i was very disappointed and mildly upset when we gave him up, i would love to see him back even though he did have problems with drops at times and in key situations, but he could have worked that out…hey, it can’t hurt us, lets bring him in and give it another shot

Come guys, do you really think they’d go for him? There’s a reason why Miami gave up on him. Worst thing is SD just gave up a 2nd for him. Quality players aren’t released for no reason. I really doubt he gets picked off on waivers because that 2.4 mil really is high for a guy like him. Maybe someone will grab him but it won’t be Miami. Thats more than JT gets (I think) so he’d have to accept less if he were to pass waivers and then sign with us. But still in that case I don’t think it works in these guys plans. Between his age and how they’re trying to build a WR corps I just can’t see him here. Especially if they have plans to get Pat Turner moving foward.

If he’s settled out there maybe San Fran could be in play. If he ventures back east Baltimore makes sense.

If we wanted a vet receiver we would hae sniffed at some in FA. from what I remember we didn’t even bring in any for a workout. It would be one thing if a Parcells guy became available. I think if Terry Glenn had anything left last year or even Keyshaun they may have brought them in. I think when we passed on Coles it sealed the fact that unless your a stud your not needed here. Great coaches need youth to mold, not men on the verge of 30 who will never become studs.

I know...

Its the one thing Mueller got right. We’re lucky Norv Turner was there and AJ Smith still trusted him at that point. Without that pick we don’t have Henne.

For all the picks we’ve given away over the years this was the one that fell in our favor. Watch and see the interest thats shown in him. It’ll be a true sign of his value.

These decisions aren’t made overnight either. I’m sure AJ Smith shopped him at the deadline. They benched him week 7 which says it all. Smith is shrewd so that means he couldn’t even get a 7th rounder or some kind of conditional pick based on staying on the new roster beyond a certain point. For most teams thats norhing for a player you would claim off waivers which tells me there’s no interest or at least not much.
