I haven't felt this since Shula

It has been a very long time since I have been completely sold on our Head Coach. I started feeling that way about Nick Satan but obviously that didn't end well. I have given Sparano a year and a half before accepting him hole heartedly. This morning I am officially declaring that I want Sparano in here for the long haul. The guy is class combined with a good motivator while being able to maintain discipline. After coming into a team with a 1-15 record he has made us all believers again and more importantly has made the players jump on the ship. We have a bright future ahead of us friends. A good young qb rb and offensive line and defense and were only going to get better. As hard as some of the losses have been this year we have been competitive in every game. Here is to starting the Sign Sparano to an extension this year petition.

my buddy said....

we’d be a good team once we were 2 coaches removed from Wannstedt…Pretty close to it….Cam/Saban…..finally Sparano…I agree with you that Sparano should stay for the long haul. And believe it or not, I have been apprehensive about Henne when it was all going down, but I actually look forward each week to see what he can and wil do…Fellow fin fans…we have most the ingredients to cook something up…Right now, it may taste funny, but we’ll get the idea..Kinda like pizza…even bad pizza still gets eaten…

Not me, not this season. Too many mistakes, and we need to find both

an elite offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator. Not to say how good of a draft guy Ireland is after Parcells leaves.

he's awesome lol

but I think we have our future OC on the staff already in David Lee. And there’s NO WAY I’m getting rid of Sparano right now. He’s the best coach we’ve had here since Shula, but he’s still a young Head Coach. There will be mistakes made, but he’s already better than at least half of the coaches in this league. I think we promote DLee to OC next year, and Pasqualoni is fine as a DC.

Yeah David Lee is solid. On defense I'd like to go the way of say

Mike Nolan like Denver did or something like that. I like the approach of bringing back a smart but unsuccessful Head Coach as a coordinator, because they have something to prove. Rod Marinelli is with Chicago and Scott Linehann with Detroit, etc. Considering Parcell’s knows everybody, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were Romeo Crenell talks in the off season for Defensive Coordinator. Pasqualoni is just not going to cut it with his high school defense.

I was thinking along those lines as well

because I believe Wade Phillips will be fired at the end of this season. He’s familiar with Sparano, and even though he’s a weenie, he’s still a good DC..

Phillip's job security is starting to look better every week. I'd like to see Romeo back in the league.

I would love to see Phillips here running the defense.

That sounds pretty good, however, I guess it would

be extremely strange for Philips to come here under the orders of Sparano, his former Offensive Line coach. That’d be a first time event in the NFL I’d guess. It’d be intriguing for sure. All that aside, I’d love to see him here.

he's sexy

I’m not calling for Sparano’s head or anything, i’m just not entirely sold him just yet. we’ve had a rough few years, us Dolphans, i’m just learning to love… and trust again… sniff

There are a few things nagging this season with Sparano. He has actually impressed me LESS this year.

He needs to fire Dan Henning before I jump on his bandwagon.

I couldn't disagree with you more about Henning

He has forgotten more about football then all of us will ever know. Not every game is going to work out perfect but you do the best you can with what you have. Remember we have a rookie qb and limited talent at WR. I don’t care who the OC is they aren’t going to turn this team into the Saints. We need to improve on getting some play makers @ WR. We have scored 30+ points in the last four games in a row when is the last time that has happened? DLEE is the OC in training and I expect him to get more of a role next year with Henning still serving in some kind of advisory position.

Yep, but there is no doubt whatsoever that the play calling on offense

has been questionable to say the least. Against the Colts? run on 3&6 with Manning waiting to tear us apart on the sidelines. Or against the Jets, calling a roll out to the left while facing a blitz of 100 guys. I say its 50/50. And like you say, he has a very limited group to work with, including a rookie qb and a mediocre receiving group.
Last year I actually loved the offense, Henning and Pennington worked really well together.

Tony Sparano

is the man i met him in person, he’s awesome anyways i think our coaching is back im just glad were winning but definitely a new OC OR DC wouldn’t hurt as long as they better at what they do
