Dear Ronnie
I never really do these things, I actually prefer reading others goodbye notes. But as a die hard Miami Dolphin fan, as most of you are, I for one am very sad to watch this happen. He is a workhorse and is a staple of our team, not just our offense. He is the reason we convert on 3rd downs. If we need a play from one yard out to beat our most hated rivals at home on a monday night, who else gets the nod so confidently. I always have loved Ricky, I hated that he left us, but the man came back and ran hard. He also was the reason we drafted #23. We had no back, thanks to Ricky and wanted to get back to run first sceme. This situation brought us the wildcat, something that the Dolphins can use and prove its not a gimmick. Although I digress, this situation made us the running powerhouse we were, Ricky can do some things, I don't doubt that, but Ronnie, were gonna miss you man.
ps. Rex Ryan is in fact, a cry baby.

i forgot to add
that we need to resign him today. Unlucky injuries, he deserves to be a Miami Dolphin for life.

i wish i wish
we could resign. IDK what is going on in the minds of bill parcells and ireland. of course i would resign him because i am a diehard ronnie fan.
What we need to remember(and it pains me to say this) is that the FO is going to do what is best for this team in the future. That might me letting ronnie go, and picking up a HB and WR in his place. like i said, i dont like it. i want ronnie in miami for life. but who knows whats going on in the minds of the trifecta.
2009 is a year of respect ladies and gentlemen. Lets get it.

If we dump him in a trade, we need to sell a couple other dudes
and snatch a new NT and WR.

it wouldn't matter anyway
trade deadline was week 6. Couldn’t trdade him even if he was healthy.
btw, I don’t envision him being re-signed. I’ll be real about it, he’s never been the feature back in his career, and he’s suffered 2 season-ending injuries in the past 3 years. He’ll be 28 next season, meaning he’s probably only got 2-3 good years left, and with a knee injury and a foot fracture under his belt already, 3 is probably stretching it. As much as I love Ronnie, I think he’s most likely gone after next season (because as a RFA, I don’t think a team is giving up enough to get him, and let’s face it, a CBA isn’t getting done)..

hes never been a feature back in his career?
thats a dumb comment. he was the feature back for the Dolphins anytime he was healthy. maybe you need to reconsider your defintiion of “feature back”. Is Brandon Jacobs not a feature back because Bradshaw spells him?
Today / Yesterday is / was a sad day for the dolphins. This guy did everything we could have asked from him, i wouldnt even call him injury prone regardless if he had a few injuries, he was a tough runner, tough guy and all the respect to him. if he doesn’t end up with the dolphins again any other team would be very lucky to have him.

We’ve done worse in the past . just wait it out see what we have to match. then resign him if it’s super big $$ then let him go

No...
NT, WR first. DRAFT DEZ BRYANT! We almost had a diva in 05 (Braylon Edwards), but we drafted Ronnie Brown instead (YEAH!) What’s the problem with Bryant when you have his measurables. And besides, it would be entertaining to watch Joey Porter and Bryant’s verbal sparring.
Touchdown, Ronnie Brown Edition!
