Dolphins/Panthers Final Injury Report

With the game tomorrow night, today's injury report is the equivalent of a typical Friday injury report. And both sides have key injuries.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

Probable
Gibril Wilson, S (hamstring)

Questionable
Justin Smiley, OG (shoulder)
Tyrone Culver, S (ankle)

Out
Ronnie Brown, RB (foot)
Anthony Fasano, TE (hip)
Paul Soliai, NT (ankle)
Erik Walden, LB (hamstring)

Notes
-A source told the Miami Herald that Smiley is will indeed play. He practiced fully on Wednesday.
-Culver hurt his ankle in practice and was limited. He'll likely be a game time decision.

Star-divide

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Questionable
DeAngelo Williams, RB (knee)
Jonathan Stewart, RB (Achilles)
Damione Lewis (shoulder)

Doubtful
Brad Hoover, FB (ankle)
Charles Johnson, DE (pectoral)
Charles Godfrey, S (ankle)

Out
Jordan Gross, OT (ankle)

Notes
-Stewart practiced on Wednesday while Williams did not. But both are expected to play. After all, Williams was listed as questionable last week as well - and he played pretty darn well.

Glad Smiley is back...

We are going to need all the help running we can get with RB out…happy Smiley is back, hopefully he is completely healthy and it was just a scare and nothing relating to the past surgeries. Not having Solai might hurt considering how well he did against the Jets as a back up when Ferg was in.

I’m on the Kory Sperry bandwagon as long as he catches the ball…I read JT was saying that he’s a great blocker and hated going against him in practice so that helps as well.

Is that both of their "Greatest RB duo Ever" that is injured?

Also, Stewart has been listed as questionable for almost the entire season

Nagging achilles, he usually sits out practice until Wednesday, and then practices the rest of the week.

questionable means almost definitely playing

probable means playing, quest is probably playing, doubtful means questionable but on the bad side, and out means out

if ronnie brown isn't resigned, im gonna go pete stoyanovich on jeff ireland
officially on the sperry bandwagon

technically

questionable means 50/50 on playing and doubtful means 75% chance they are not. And if they are listed as doubtful, they have to be upgraded to questionable on Saturday (for Sunday game). Not sure of the rule when it’s a Thursday game, though.

So then what do we worry about on our offense and defense?

Do our recievers exist? Ginn crawls out the hole, Bess is stumbling but hope is not lost.
Gibril i like you and imma let you finish the season but, Ed Reed is the best safety of all time, of all time!!

by dolfan0918 on Nov 18, 2009 4:17 PM EST up reply actions

Same things we'd typically worry about. Don't expect most of the major players

to sit out for the Panthers.

So basically the LB’s will determine the game of defense while the O-line determines it on offense

yeah but honestly,

it seems as if players listed as questionable play about 75% of the time

hell, this game has me worried because they are surging. We NEED to pressure Delhomme on passing situations and stop their run. Hopefully our D line can over come their O-line

According to the 'net

Peppers is injured on his hand, but was not limited in practice, and is not listed on the Injury Report. Sorta like Edelman for the Pats last week, broken arm and all making catches.

Well with Fasano out we'll get to see Sperry

I really like the guy…he made some tough catches Sunday, and I hope he can do it again on Thursday.
Does anyone else like Sperry?

Oh…I figured I’ll do a “doghouse” post after the thursday game, and combine sunday and thursday’s games together.

OHH NOOS!!

Please say the report i just read on my dolphins iphone app is wrong and that Ronnie is not out for rest of the year with a foot injury.

Man that is horrible news if it is true.

Come on Matty give me some good news.

No official word yet, only a questionable ESPN report

If it doesn’t come from Mortenson or Pasquerelli, I tend to doubt its credibility.

I saw that too

It said “NFL sources” say ronnie is out for the season. Those foot injuries are weird, look at Yao Ming.
Does this make it look like ronnie is injury prone?

by phranchise on Nov 18, 2009 6:19 PM EST via mobile reply actions

I don't think so

Running backs are gonna get injured (it’s inevitable), and foot injuries are among the most common of those injuries. I’d be worried if it was related to the first ACL tear, but it doesn’t appear that it is.
