Early Playoff race
This is my first time writing on the phinsider and I would just like to say I have been coming here for awhile for all of my Fins info, especially any time I am overseas. I like the community you all have going here and the excellent writing by Matty. I know a lot of fans have already counted the Fins out for this season, so I thought I would take an early peek at the Playoff race and possible wild cards from the AFC and where the Fins fit in.
Below I put each team that I thought to be an actual candidate in this race except for INDY, because I have them as a lock in AFC South. If you look at the match ups in the upcoming weeks there are 14 games where teams in the hunt are playing each other, 7 of those games are in the last two weeks of the season. So of the 10 teams below there are guaranteed 14 loses to come for teams in the hunt not to include games played against teams not in the hunt. Now while Miami does have their back against the wall especially with Ronnie’s injury, playoffs are still possible. Ideally for Miami to have a shot they can only lose one more game (tough but can be done.). While I did put MIA in the lose columns for some of the teams, I did not fill out who they would lose to or what their finale record would be. (that is for the rest of you to fill in the blanks and discuss). Here is to hope!
NE 6-3 NYJ,NO,MIA,CAR,BUF,JAC,HOU =LOSES NO,MIA=11-5
NYJ 4-5 NE,CAR,BUF,TB,ATL,INDY,CIN=LOSES NE,INDY,CIN=8-8

HOU 5-4 TEN,INDY,JAC,SEA,STL,MIA,NE=LOSES INDY,JAC,NE=9-7

Long you live and high you fly. But only if you ride the tide. And balanced on the biggest wave, you race towards an early grave.
well
if we win all of the remaining games and the patriots lose 2 more times then we are in the playoffs if im not mistaken.

Long Run
Just looked at your posts, good reading. I am sorry not trying to step on any toes. I do however do not see my post as plagiarizing. You give the weekley insight of the race as I have just given my predictions for every team for the rest of their seasons and what their respectful records would be. I see Miami losing one game (Houstin), setting up for a huge week 17 game against PIT.Both teams would need a win to clinch the last wild card spot.
its all good
just stopped doing recaps because everyone else was.
then starting posting my power rankings, then everyone else did,
then i started doing the playoff picture…
i was actually thinking of doing something like that closer to the end of the season in my posts but give readers the downlow on who to root for based on conference titles and wildcard availability
