Colts or Pats? Who do I cheer for?

It's 10:30 here on the East Coast and I should be going to bed because I'm getting up REALLY early.  By the time most of you are (hopefully) reading this post, I will be en-route to Indianapolis to see Sunday Night's Colts-Pats game.

As a loyal Phins fan, I will be wearing my Ricky Williams jersey - the same one I wear faithfully EVERY Sunday when we play.  BUT....I am torn about what to do on Sunday night.  Who do I cheer for?  Of course, the obvious answer is the Colts.  How could I ever cheer for a division rival?  However, as a loyal Dan Marino fan, I've never been able to cheer for Peyton Manning since it became painfully obvious that he would eventually smash every record Dan the Man ever held.  To put it mildly, I hate the Colts.  Never liked Tony Dungy either and I hated the fact that they won their Super Bowl IN MIAMI.  And all those years of Indy chasing the undefeated season only made the situation worse.  After the Bills and the Jets, there isn't a team in the NFL I dislike more than the Colts.

I guess it would be too easy to hope for a tie.  But since I'm getting a free place to stay and I am on their home turf, I will cheer against my division rivals and hope for an Indy win.

Enjoy the games this weekend.  GO DOLPHINS!!!

The season is more important than records. Just hope Manning beats it so much, that Brady has no shot at breaking it himself.

Good night yall

I’ll be cheering for the Colts even though Tom Brady is married to Giselle. I have seats on the 50 yrd line…..too bad it’s almost the last row in the stadium. I’ll have another post next week about the game.

I’m cheering for the Colts…..but picking the Pats in an upset. Brady against another all rookie CB tandom.

I'm rooting for New England for the same reason you hate the Colts. They have a cake-walk schedule and I rather the Pats beat them

than having them stand a chance of going undefeated.

I could really give a shit about the perfect season ..

( as long as nobody in our division ever gets it ), we need the Colts to win in order to progress in our division. I really don’t like the Pats and could never, ever , cheer for them.

how is this even a question?

you ALWAYS root against the teams in our division.ALWAYS. when two teams in our division play each other, you root against the team that is the bigger challenge for the dolphins. dan’s place in NFL history is secure, regardless of how many of his records are broken.

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
