They traded away Stuckey, some other guy I haven't heard of and some draft picks to the Browns.
He has not been the most consistant WR in the league, but he has shown what he can do, and now he has ONE QB throwing to him, no Quinn-Anderson controversy.

The NFL needs to step in an make a change in Cleveland – no more Browns/Jets trades allowed.
On Draft day, the Jets robbed the Browns and got a franchise QB for a bunch of back-ups and a 2nd rd pick. Now they steal Edwards for more role players (special teams ace???) and mid-round picks.
This is unfair to the competitive balance of the league. The only person crazier than Al Davis is Eric Mangini. We have to play the Jets twice a year. Why should they be able to get quality players for below market value? Would the Dolphins have been able to get Edwards for Reggie Torbor and Greg Camarillo?
This is a bull-shit trade. Fire Mangini now.

So… NO, I do not expect anything different for Monday’s game… ‘cept maybe a slight less since he’s not a familiar target. Besides….. we have two beastly corners in Vontae and Sean.

Edwards will not be able to practice until tomorrow, and will only have 4 days to get the playbook down. Remember how well Roy Williams did when he went to the Boys mid season of last year?
I expect Edwards to have a limited role if any at all on Monday Night. He really might not even have an effect

my wife is a Browns fan, all she does is cuss about Edwards dropping the ball. I think he had more drops than catches last year. I know last week I was watching with my wife since the fins didn’t play till 4, he ran a simple out route, was standing still, the ball hit him in the chest and he dropped it. Edwards=Highly over rated

Jets called…took advantage of the current situation….give em props. I for one would rather get a free agent thats proven and not a head case….and not use picks.
the Jets obviously dont care about draft picks…..a 3rd and a 5th is big for us….for them its trash.

I think Edwards is an upgrade over Stuckey
but it’s nothing we should be freaking out about…Edwards really hasn’t done much, he had one good season. I keep hearing everyone compare him to Moss and how Moss was bad on the Raiders but then got good when he went to the Pats…well, I think everyone is forgetting that Randy Moss was amazing his entire career except that season in Oakland..Edwards is not Moss and I dont think he will ever be. Edwards is an above average number 1 wideout, thats it in my opinion…Its going to be fun seeing him frustrate all the Jets fans when he drops 30 passes in 2 years again
