Former Dolphin Greats speak about Ted Ginn Jr.
Just read an article from the Miami Hereld and at a charity event some Dolphin greats spoke out about Ted Ginn Jr.
Bob Kuechenberg: ``He's an embarrassment and a coward,'' He's got alligator arms. It's sad. I don't even know that he has the ability. I haven't seen it.''
OJ McDuffie: ``Every good team has a solid No. 1 receiver, and we have nobody. Just a bunch of twos and threes. Teddy can run, but how much of a football player is he? You either have it or not. Teddy is not as astute a player as I thought he would be. I've seen him go down when nobody is around.''
Jim Kiick: ``He doesn't concentrate. And his route running is not good.''
Mercury Morris: ``He needs to talk to either me or [inspirational speaker] Tony Robbins about becoming enlightened and doing the opposite of the things he thinks are right.''
Mark Duper: ``The only way you're going to get better is if you get somebody to come in and work with him,'' Duper said. ``I would do that for him. I wouldn't charge. As far as not wanting to get hit, I could [fix] that. He's got the speed I had when I came into the league. You can't teach that. What you can teach is technique and fundamentals, which he's been missing. I was fortunate enough to have Nat Moore to play with. Ted doesn't have that.''
------------
Marino, Shula, and Duper all said that Ginn should not be benched, but stated he isn't making the plays he should and implied the only reason the Dolphins should continue to play him is because they have no other options. Wonder why?
The most important thing out of this article was that Mark Duper, arguably the greatest Dolphins receiver of all-time, said he sent Ginn an e-mail, offering tutoring, but Ginn never responded.
Maybe if Marino and Shula knew this information, they would change their minds. Ted Ginn refuses to take it to the next level, he cant create separation 95% of the time even with his speed. He falls down after the catch. He runs out of bounds to avoid hits.
He is the type of person who ignores their problems and hopes they go away on their own. He avoids the media when he knows how bad they are going to question him on his horrible play. He refuses to learn from the greats. He wants to live in his college football days, thinking he was good enough then, he is good enough now.
Ted Ginn Jr., why don't you take responsibility for your play, be a man, and take some initiative to improve your play rather than going through your [soon to be short-lived] NFL career as mediocre at best.
Last week when he caught a ball and had a choice to run upfield and take a hit for the first down, he declined and ran out of bounds one yard short, setting up a 3rd down. I know he would have done the same if it was already 3rd or 4th down. Until he mans up...Ted Ginn, you are dead to me. YOURE OUT OF THE FAMILY! AND OUR FAMILY'S FAMILY! (your family)

Not accepting help from Duper??
Are you serious? Do you have a link to this article? Because I want to read this whole thing to be in even more disbelief! He is incredibly stupid, and as far as I’m concerned, should not even still be on this team if it weren’t for our lack of speed at the receiver position.

They are correct...
The old-timers know what is going on, and it is true, he is still playing because we have little choice….even though everyone wants to see what Patrick Turner can do. I trust the coaches that Turner isn’t ready, they do see them in practice everyday. I feel bad for all the negativity on Ginn, not sure it will help. I hope with less plays going his way, it will motivate him to concentrate!

nah, probably he got it via the Dolphins public relations department or something
like that. So Ginn should’ve taken a look. It’s not like he cares anyway

knowing now that Ginn didn't respond to Duper, there's ZERO excuse for him.
He’s dead weight…gotta cut it off.

Ginn is youn.. he proably does'nt even kow who Mark Duper is

Maybe he needs to learn a little Phins history and then he could see what it is that
he should be striving for instead of being a total spare.

I can't remember the last time a Dolphins player had this much controversy going
Oh wait, yes I do. It was Ricky WIlliams!
Anyways, Ted would be wise to hang out with Super Duper and attempt to refine his technique.
Someone needs to slap Ted around and point out that Hanging with Mr. Duper (Nice, I know) might be his last shot at making something of himself in the NFL. And if he’s just avoiding Duper because he feels like it, then it’s futile to hold out any hope for #19 anyways.

Not to meantion that it might take some of the heat off of him. I for one might be more
inclined to believe that hes trying if I hear that he working with Duper on the side.

I read that two or three weeks ago
and I find it hard to believe that he would intentionally ignore someone like Duper but who knows.
It’s obvious he has no clue how to run routes because I’ve never seen him drive a DB enough to make him turn his hips,I would assume any decent WR Coach would be teaching and stressing this to the point that Ginn gets a bitch slap everytime he fails to do so…same for catching with his hands so I have to wonder if he has a learning disabilty.
I read Omar saying something was wrong with Ginn when discussing his speach impediment and in all honesty that would make sense seeing how he is still clueless after two and a half years.

On the plus side... At least Hartline wants to play
If only he’d stop looking like a Rookie when he’s on the field, he could be a good starter

Also eventually the coaches will let Camarillo play more downs again
His ACL injury has to be rubbing off of him by now… I’d take good ol Greg over Bess any day.
