OFFICIAL "I'M OFF THE BANDWAGON POST"
It's been 5 days, and I'm still not over the Saint's game. I've been going to bed at 8:00 every night with the help of a Tylenol pm. In the words of Emmit Smith, we got "DEBACKLED". This is my official vent on players that I have officially given up on.
1. Ted Ginn
I will admit that I initially thought Chad Pennington was holding Ginn back. But I see now that it is Ted Ginn holding Ted Ginn back. Ginn is a dog with no bite. Let me put it this way. If Mike Vick was the coach of the Dolphins, Ted Ginn would be in the trainers room, strung up by his balls, hooked up to Randy Starks' truck. ENOUGH SAID!!!
It's not just the dropped pass. It's the rounding off of routes and the lack of GO GET IT he shows.
Having a strong safety playing free safety is a problem. But having a strong safety WHO CANT TACKLE playing free safety is a CATASTROPHE!!!
3. Pat White
Confession time again. I was a big Pat White supporter when we drafted him. I thought the possibilities were unlimited. But now, when Pat White enters the game, one of two thoughts permeate my consciousness.
PAT WHITE
A. REALLY???
OR
B. WHY???
4. Cameron Wake
I know I might be alone on this one. But hear me out. My jump from Wake is only temporary...I HOPE!! I know everybody was high on Wake after the Buffalo game, myself included. But my frustration with Cameron Wake can be summed up in 2 words...
SPIN MOVE
Or any other move besides the "I'm gonna run aroung the outside and meet the quarterback 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage". Lets face it. Not every quarterback in the NFL is gonna be like Trent "Semi-Pro" Edwards. Most pro quarterbacks know how to step up in the pocket. Until he learns another move, I am off his bandwagon.
These are just my random thoughts. Feel free to agree or disagree.

This is hard but
Ginn would have been drafted at his normal round he would not be a bust. But as is yes he is a bust. Wake hasn’t shown enough to be a bust. Wilson sucks so I agree with you on that. Thanks for pointing out Pat White. Every time he goes in I get mad. That option he ran against the Saints was horrible. He should have just tossed it back to brown but instead decided to try and run it? Are you kidding me kid? These defenders love seeing you with the ball because they know you can’t do much of anything. Remember that open Ginn down the field earlier in the season? Yeah he completely missed him by a longshot. Not a very good arm nor can he run it against pro teams. I was NEVER happy about this pick and probably never will be.

My thoughts on Ginn have nothing to do with his draft position...
but rather his production. That’s all I care about. And I do remember the Pat White pass to Ginn. ugggh

ginn would be a bust
even if he was a walk on in the arena league. draft status doesn’t matter when you drop 3 out of every 4 passes thrown to you. then on the one you catch, you run out of bounds. stop bringing up where he was drafted, that’s irrelevant. he could still wake up and all of a sudden “get it”. and i sincerely hope he does, i just doubt it.

agreed. if ginn were drafted in the 7th round he would already have been cut.

You, sir, are a very funny man
I disagree with you on Pat White and Cam Wake, though.
I think Pat White has a place in this league, but he’s got to much to overcome right now to be a viable QB.
I think he is being misused.
He needs to be moved to WR and as soon as possible. A few simple routes, short easy throws to him into space, reverses. Anybody seen a reverse to White yet? Anyone? Anyone? As a receiver in the Wildcat? For an offensive coordinator that has used creative formations, I haven’t seen this yet and it troubles me!
At a time when everybody is hating on Ginn, Pat White is really an anti-Ginn. He is not afraid to take a hit, he’s got a fiery competitive personality, and he can make a tackler miss in space. The fact that he can throw should not be used as a primary threat but as a secondary trick-play option.
I agree that Cam Wake needs to develop more pass-rushing moves AND show some stoutness against the run. But you HAVE to get him on the field and let his pure explosiveness loose on the offense.
Abandoned the Draft Sean Smith at #25 Bandwagon to Join the Draft Sean Smith at #61 Bandwagon and get Vontae Davis and Chris Clemons. Trio > me.

I believe Pat White has a place also.
But I’m speaking in the NOW. I cringe everytime I see him in the game.

i cringe also.
i makes not sense to me to throw him in for a few snaps. either give him a planned series or two, or keep him on the bench.
I still like Wake… i think he has not been given enough chances to play yet, and expect he will get better with playing time. Remember, for all intents, he is a rookie.

I agree aboutGinn
I agree about Wilson
Still think its way too early w/ Pat White
Wake, jury is still out
SPIN MOVE
I love it. Reminds me of Dwight in “The Office”.
"Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak." Thomas Carlyle
Sparano yelled to the next receiver, imploring him to, "go get the (expletive) football."

kind of intensity on everybody, stupid or not. Amen

I will agree on all but WAKE
Spin move or not…this guy seems to create pressure every time he gets the chance. I think that if he got more than 6 plays a game he could be badass…like he was against the jill’s…even knowing that their O line sucks….he seems to just need a chance to get a little more comfortable with who he lines up against….yes he DOES seem limited in his moves but maybe with time we would see more…I just love the way he is explosive and tough and finishes….we REALLY need to see more of him…would love to see him on the strong side and JT/JP rotate on the weak side….maybe when Roth is back in we can see some more of that…Roth on running downs and Wake on passing downs with the old guys rotation on the weak side!

Give Pat White a chance
he’s still juist a rookie, and stepping on the field once every game after standing on the sidelines for a few hours. But because you have a reaction to him when youre on the field, you know hes doinghis job right…. hes a guy that excites the game, and when he grows up in the eague, he’ll be very effective

pat white is
being used wrong. I think the idea mentioned above, of letting him take a reverse to the outside it outstanding. He is fast, scrappy, let him get the ball with some space to run and see what happens.
As for Wake, theres no way im off that bandwagon, the dude is a beast. I dont think he should practice, i think they should lock him in a dark basement, feeding him only raw steaks, with a strobing light that flashes Mark Sanchez, Tom Brady and Edwards images into his eyes every so often accompanied by a loud shrieking sound. Then on sundays, wheeel him in a cage to Landshark and release him onto the field.

Edwards will probably be starting for the Lobos next year. Duking it out with his former Bills rival, J.P. Losman.
