Did anybody get their copy of SI today?

on page 10 and 11 there is a 2 page spread picture VERY clearly showing ted ginn knocking the ball lose back at the 1 1/2 yard line.  I know this is after the fact and nothing can be done about it especially after the refs reviewed it.  I couldnt get the picture online but if u get the magazine or the picture you will surely see what i mean.  I know hes gotten alotta heat and was the cause of that pick but if you see the picture in Sports Illustrated you'll be screaming "touch back"  like i was at my tv on sunday

Hmm,

that actually redeems him a little bit. At least he didn’t completely give up on the play.

That call isn't getting a lot of attention

That seemed like one of the fastest replay reviews ever, like it was no question to the refs, but it seemed even from the first angle that it was pretty clear that the ball at least might have come out before it crossed the goal line. That was a huge play. I was disappointed that there weren’t other angles to look at. I thought it was a touchback the first time they showed the replay.

One more thought on that play though, did anyone notice Ginn doing a fake roll over after he fell on that play? I swear, take a look, he misses the catch, falls on his back, and I swear he intentionally pushes himself back, with his feet over his head in some sort of attempt to make it look like he was making a miraculous play and the way he landed and played it up was supposed to excuse him. If he had just quit that crap and jumped back up he could possibly have got a hand on Sharper before he took off down the sideline. Still the fact that even after all that Ginn got up and chased him down shows how fast he is. Too bad he never does that when he actually has the ball in his hands.

oh it was 100% that the ball came out

if you take the 2 replays they showed (from the sideline & behind the end zone) and put them together… the side line showed the ball comming free, but you couldn’t see where it came out, just were it was in relation to the other players, and the end zone showed the other players where inside of the goal line, when you see the tip of the ball, which from the side line meant that the ball was loose…

I have some serious questions about this game… i’d guess the league security will reviewed it a little… who the heck huddles and calls and illegal shift by a WR on a spike play to prevent a sure TD with 1 sec left in a 12 point game when the spread is 6.5 or 7 pts…. very fishy…. and that’s not sour grapes on my part because i only had the over.

The Future is now, stop the bandwagon and lets get the Henne train rollin, as we all hope that the 14th dwarf is the real prince charming.

You're over it?

Congrats to you. It’s only been three days. That game is tough to get over because of so many plays like this one that leave a bitter taste in the mouth. Yeah, what’s done is done, but that’s what we do. We watch football and then we talk about it all week until the next game comes around. With that said, I’m about ready to start looking forward to the Jets game. Beating the Jets is one way to take the bitter taste away.

it was obvioiusly a touchback

could be seen clearly during the game. however, if dickhands had of caught the ball in the first place, this would be a non factor. go ginn. the best player the jets ever had.HAHA

I’m actually working on contacting SI to get a digital version of the photo for me to post up on the site so everyone can see how we did indeed get screwed.

Just a thought..

Seeing how bad some of the calls have been against the Dolphins this season.. and seeing that the “big money” gamblers all predicted that the phins would end up with a losing season this season do any of you think that maybe that pays into the refs calling at times?

I mean there is a GOOD chance some of these refs bet on games and whatnot.. Something has to be up.. there has been TOO MANY HORRIBLE calls against the phins so far this season..

Im not saying..

Im just sayin..

Side-Note

There has never been a single ref scandal in the modern era of the NFL.
1. Every ref that has ever existed is a beacon of altruism?
2. The refs are simply good enough not to ever get caught?
3. The NFL has been doing some superb damage control?

Something..

There is bound to be a bad apple every so often.. but if the NFL never mentions how HORRIBLE some games are called.. then its never an issue outside of some fans being pissed off.

I believe the NFL covers up shit like this just like they pretty much covered up (well.. not coverd up but did total dammage control) over the Pats and their cheating. They just sweep it away and never mention it again.
