Just Like Braylon Edwards
needed to get traded from Cleveland, the same is true with Ginn. Unlike others, I still think Ginn has some real strengths that could benefit another team. I don't see it happening with the Dolphins. I don't think, though, that he should be benched at this point. Rather ...... he should still get playing time and the Dolphins should try to play to his strengths in order to keep some value for a trade. Right now it appears to be a no-win situation. I think the Dolphins would be better off to move in a different direction and, likewise, Ginn would be better off elsewhere.
I hear the criticisms of Ginn and don't argue with the legitimate ones. Anyone can drop a pass once in a while but ..... his drops have been too frequent and indefensible. Likewise ...... his routes are not great although he has made improvement in that area. As to some of the cheap shots, though, ......... I think they are off base. For those posters who want to criticize his returns ....... I think he hasn't been used enough to really make a judgement on that front. And .... I think he still has the type of breakaway speed that, if given a few returns every Sunday, would produce a handful of long returns translating into good field position and probably a TD or two over the course of a season.
At this point, though, it is a bad situation. I don't think Ginn will be an elite receiver in the NFL but I do think he could be a significant contributor on a different team. His departure would also mean that some of the Ginn haters on this board would need to redirect their energies to finding a different scapegoat for what is still some structural shortcomings that plague the Dolphins. It will take a while to rebuild this thing ........ Ginn hasn't much contributed to the rebuilding effort but he is by no means the only problem the Dolphins have at this point.

i agree, i think if teddy could hav a fresh start somewhere else, as a NUMBER TWO receiver (much less pressure),
i think it could benefit both the dolphins, and teddy
Trade him and a pick for Boldin. AZ would be the perfect place for him and he would not have
to be the number one. I also like sending him to the NFC where if he decides he wants to play football its less likely to come back and bite us in the ass.

Everybody has seen what Ginn can do.
We could have sold him last year, but he’s never going to be worth anything. And when a player is blowing games for you, 2 separate weeks against undefeated opponents, its time to bench him. I don’t think the people would have redirected their anger towards Quinn if he was drafted instead. My dad never watched Ginn until Sunday. And he understands why I have been so upset.

Understand your frustration with Ginn. At the same time, if the Phins had drafted Quinn in that spot, I disagree. I think he would be getting enormous criticism because, in my opinion, he likewise wasn’t worth drafting that high. The Dolphins did make a mistake in using that pick on Ginn. I think it would have likewise been a mistake to use that pick on Quinn. There is a reason that so many other teams passed on him once the Dolphins didn’t draft him and …… I will be very surprised if Quinn ever becomes an impact QB in the NFL. I’m not saying Cleveland has really given him a shot …… they haven’t. But there are some good reasons that they haven’t let him take control for the past three years.
In hindsight, Quinn was overrated, and would have probably been a bad decision.
But a quarterback should have been in order. And whoever should have been drafted, Ginn shouldn’t have been there.

No, they let it be known that they were not in the business of getting rid of picks but collecting them.

I just do not get how people can still be defending this wrthless POS.
He coudl be an ok returner.. IF he didnt run out of bounds to avoid ANY hits at the 1st chance he gets. When he catches the ball he instany falls to the ground and covers the ball like hes recovering a fumble or something. He sucks. Just accept it and get over it. He will never be a quality receiver on ANY NFL team. Hell I dont think he would even be a good #3 in the CFL.
