Dolphins sign William Kershaw
Taking Will Allen's spot on the roster, for now, is LB William Kershaw. You'll remember that Kershaw was one of Miami's final training camp cuts.
There's also some concern about the health of Channing Crowder. Crowder was taken for an MRI immediately following the game on Sunday. But we have no info on what might be up.

Oh man,
people are dogging Crowder but he has been pretty damn solid these past few games. I hope he isn’t hurt too badly.

we are all waiting for him to make a game changing play for once! If you play MLB in this league you have to make a special play every once in a while. Heck, maybe we just got spoiled all those years with Zach being a beast in the middle.

He's had a few
tackles for a loss, and some QB pressure in these past couple games. He’s a 3-4 MLB as opposed to Zach Thomas 4-3 beastliness, so Zach had a bit more help from the line to help him penetrate. The pass rush in a 3-4 is going to come from the OLBs, so it really just isn’t a system where we should expect Crowder to play like Thomas. If we were to replace an MLB, shouldn’t it be Ayodele anyway? At least we hear Crowder’s name during the games.

I have to correct you on that one...
in 06’ the finz switched to a 3-4 and Zach had one of the best seasons in his career…165 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 int. Crowder doesnt even have 3 sacks in his career let alone 1 season. Agreed on Ayodele…guy is really lost on every play.

Good point,
but he’s still Zach. Crowder has shown marked improvement this year and I think a lot of his lack of playmaking ability could be attributed to how he was used previously. He seems to be getting pressure and a couple tackles for a loss a game for the last couple games. Now we just need to replace Ayodele with an MLB who is good in coverage and we are set.

Holy Shiz! I posted just one hour ago how I thought it was a mistake that Kershaw was released. I am shocked he hasn’t landed on another team already. This could be damn good for the fins. All our stagnant veterans get injured thus allowing our young high potential guys to see the field.
Now all I need is for Porter to tweak that hammy again so we get Wake on the field more.. Oh and dont pretend your outraged. Porter has been horrid this year

Not great, but not horrid. Certainly not as great as last year. For some reason when JT and Peezy are on the field at the same time he just cant get it done…..cant explain why. BUT, let us not believe that Kershaw is a savior….the guy got cut for a reason. Hopefully he can play decent on ST.

Porter isn't playing as well as Wake.
Period. Wake should be the WOLB and Taylor should be the SOLB.

I think Porter should share time with JT
he has been invisible untill this game…and other than a couple of decent plays he really didnt stand out against NO either…well except to get a 15yard penelty and keep Cam Wake off the field …jesus what does that guy need to do to get playing time? Wake brings pressure almost every time I see him, he generates a push and a move and forces the QB to move, maybe not out of the pocket but move nonetheless which should allow others to get to him…JT/JP on the weak side and WAKE on the SS with spells for rest…get all three about the same playing time and I believe that we will see Wake as the best JT right behind him and JP bringing up the rear.
Okay, so when Taylor went out mid game and was being looked out, the 1 play Wake came in, almost had the sack… I saw one play with him still in there, why in the hell is he not in there more? He’s getting to the QB better than any other OLB that is in there… When we plan on blitzing, put his ass in there!

I dont think that we will see Allen back as a starting CB unless its nickle or dime and even then…if Nate Jones continues to step up we may see him gone/as a back up only. You know I have been one who has called Allen a solid corner in the past but this season he has allowed too many receptions…yes he tackles the rec…but only after they catch…realise that ALLEN has been the corner that the QB’s have picked on…not the rookies…
