Isn't funny when you compare the Dolphins and Hurricanes and where they are at in their respective building process? Both have their QB of the future (Harris and Henne), both have young players at key positions, and above all else neither of the teams can cover the middle of the field because of LB's that can't cover downfield and safety's not doing their jobs! But.....the most important part of all is, that the upside is there and its there big time (The baby Bulls playin for the Canes and the young guys including Henne ofcourse at the Dolphins)
People need to remember that this is year 2 of the rebuilding process with the Dolphins and the Canes. We have seen a glimpse here and there at how great they can be (Canes vs Oklahoma/ 1st half against the Saints) against some of the best teams. Quite honestly we heading in a winning direction with both. The Canes are missing experience, while our Dolphins are missing *great* players at key positions (a real TE threat and consistent target for Henne being the most important *Gresham from OU*; I honestly think Wake will be the answer as our pass rusher; and ofcourse a WR). So even though this was a painful weekend for us South Florida football fans :( we got to be happy at the progress we've made in a season and a half (more or less).
But man, this loss to the Saints really sucks....
