Post-Game Thread: Dolphins crumble in second half

we had a great game.

I think the coaches put henne in a bad spot, but, w/e. Henne has shown he can win games, and he can makes plays. subtract the calls and things my be different.

Henne – C – His numbers weren’t pretty but the O-line betrayed him in the 2nd half. He was getting hit every play.

O-line C – Whats an A plus an F? A C. Story of 2 halfs

RB’s – B – Ricky had a monster game but again the running game failed on us late. WEe couldn’t get any long drives going

WR’s – D+ See: Ginn, Ted

TE’s D – didn’t stand out

D-Line – C- IMO the real culprits. These guys turned into plastic the 2nd half.

LBs – B- Got some pressure but they were getting banged late. Crowder got punded.

DBs – B – This could be higher if Shockey didn’t make gibril wilson his bitch.

ST – A- these guys were swarming. Great energy. DC$ was perfect

I also want to give a pass to Hartline who came out and played to win, he’s just too rookie like out there though. If we had a real number one receiver he’d look really good.

Ginn and Bess were just awful tonight. If it wasn’t for equipment failure Bess woulda killed our first drive with that drop too.

What was with that timeout by us right before halftime? they could have let the saints kick the FG, but instead gave them time to find a play to go for it…that seemed stupid to me

 it seemed like the crazy defense stuff in the first half we did, like not lining up till the snap, having only 1 lineman down at the snap, all stopped in the second half. Its like we stopped doing what was working after halftime. That really bothers me too, when a team changes a gameplan before it stops working. The whole second half we were just in the normal defense and got NO pressure

Ginn plays like the ball is a skin head and not a pig skin

He leads everyone else in the league in drops by atleast 10! It’s unbelievable! Either you move him to corner or you release. But then again, He’s afraid of contact so playing corner wouldn’t work either! Teddy, you better hope there’s a professional flag football league or your career in football is over! He’s worse than garbage! I’ve had it with him! Release him please and just let him go to the Ravens! Maybe he’ll single handedly ruin there season
too! I backed him up alot at the start of the season but I simply can’t anymore. I hope he breaks his leg next game that way I don’t have to see him in a Dolphins uniform anymore! As for Anthony Fasano and Gibril Wilson, they both better be gone after the year as well! I don’t know what happened to Fasano but at this point, I don’t care. Just let him go already. And Gibril Wilson misses more tackles than anyone i’ve ever seen before! What a joke!

Vontae was playing great and so was Nate Jones.

Hartline had a nice game. IMO, he should start over Ginn.

I don’t think Ginn cost us this game, I don’t think any single player did. It is a team game. There were a lot of things that lead up to this game being lost and as much as it hurts to lose this, it was an intense game.

That’s was really stupid and it cost us 7 points instead of a freakin field goal. It killed our momentum and gave all of it to the Saints!

I don’t blame Chad Henne one bit in this game. The first INT was a drop from ofcourse non other than Ted F@%KING Ginn! The second one? 3 guys in his face! What happened to the O-Line???? And it was 4th down so it was a desperation pass. But it would never happened had Ted F@%KING Ginn not dropped a wide open pass on third down!!!!Ted Ginn sucks!!!!!!!!! Omg!!!!!!

We seriously jus abandoned the run for almost the entire second half. After we dominated the line for the first half and built a big lead, we come out in the second half and try to match the Saints pass for pass. Thats wat lost us the game. We are a running team. When did the playcallers forget this?

And can we please jus trade Ted Ginn for the 7th round pick we might be able to get for him.

what a joke. 1 good play from offense the entire 2 half, 1 good play from the D the entire second half…that is if you dont include the 3rd down stop to not allow the saints the 5th straight TD and hold them to a FG as one

I don’t feel like making or reading any outlandish statements. That was a rough one to lose. Now, the Bess (NON) fumble play was a tremendous momentum changer, but on the other hand this one of those total team losses all the way down the line to the coaching staff. I’m just glad I didn’t go to Hooters this week.

I don’t wanna sound like I’m gloating, but keep your heads up. I thought for sure we lost the game, and I had all but given up by the second half. You guys brought the house and I never saw Saints offense look so flat footed. Our O-line and run D got torched. You guys have a great team, there’s just a few puzzle pieces missing. Hell if anyone knows that, it’s a Saints fan.

Ricky Williams had an amazing game. He showed us why we need to give it to him more.

Brian Hartline, is showing promise. If anything, he should be the starter over Ginn.

I’ll take it one punch in the gut until we win it all.

we played probably the best team in the league pretty damn well. I’m still pissed at ginn, he needs to go, and our schedule gets pretty soft after NYJ/NE

Ted Ginn wouldn’t even fetch 3 sacks of marbles and 2 rotten tomatoes in a trade. What an underwhelming, underachieving player.

As for the rest of the game, the first half I thought to myself, see? this is exactly what I expected would happen with us controlling the game and NO looking past us.

Then in the second half I have no idea who those guys were that lined up in dolphin uni’s – they sure bore no resemblance to the group that played in the first half.

Henne is a young QB and this was one of those games where he struggled some. As far as I’m concerned the loss can squarely be pinned on others: offensive & defensive lines, gibril wilson (like every darn week really…), and of course, Ted Gimp.

although we won it was an exiciting game and i gotta give it to the dolphins defense they got after brees like nobody else could.what puzzled me most was with your run game working so well why did the dolphins abandon the run with a big lead and decide to get into a shootout with the saints.with that said i hope ya’ll win your div and make it to the playoffs good luck

On our blog the other day some one was raving about Vontae Davis, now I see why. He played a hell of a game, as did your entire team, except for Ginn and one or two others. (By the way I swapped out Ginn for Camarillo on my fantasy team a few weeks ago). I fully expect you guys to give the Pats a run for the crown in your division later in the season, (creaming the Jets again goes without saying). We’ll give you some help and give em a loss when they visit in a few weeks.
I must say that I was very impressed with Ricky; I still wasn’t sold on him after his melt down when he left us. And Henne should round out nicely, but he’s just a pup still.
Hang in there and we may see you again in Feb, same place bigger game.

This was a full team effort. It takes a whole team working together to lose like this. Everyone gets a little bit of the credit for pissing this game away. Now let’s do it again next week!

sit those 2 down and let’s see how Davis and Smith man the fort at the CB position and let Clemons show what he can do as Wilson’s replacement. We need better coverage of the RBs and the TEs on pass plays. 3 games lost because of the TEs catching balls and piss poor coverage/tackling.
