Ted Ginn and Gibril Wilson NEED TO GO!
I'm tired of Ted Ginn not being our clutch receiver. He drops balls when we need him. He CHOKES, and I'm sick of having to watch this week-in and week-out. He had ONE good game. That's it.
Gibril Wilson, what more do I need to say? How did he lead the raiders in most tackles again? Oh wait, it's the Raiders. Nevermind. BENCH HIM PLEASE! CUT HIM! I DONT CARE, GET RID OF HIM!
We should be 3-3, but we didn't close the game. This is the hardest game for me to swallow in awhile. Harder then the Colts game.
I'm done with my rant. I can't wait for the Dolphins to go to NY and destroy those Jets. That will cheer me up.

Lefty
The whole Wilson signing never did sit well with me. I had a bad feeling about him, but man HE IS ATROCIOUS!!! AWFUL!! He just doesn’t belong in the NFL. Just re-signing Renaldo Hill probably would have meant the difference in 2 of our losses already.

but i agree with you about Wilson, and i always thought of him as more of a SS, than a FS.

Yeah
I understood them wanting to upgrade Hill but I don’t see Wilson as anything. He’s slow and he can’t tackle. He makes me daydream about Hill being back LOL!

Realistic more like it
I am all about losing with young guys if it means a better draft position. What good is it going 8-8? Your stuck in the middle between rebuild with young guys or obtaining veteran players to win now.
Its obvious we aren’t getting anywhere fast. So we might as well play the youngin’s for the next 10 games and get our high draft pick.

I empatically disagree.
We were 2-4 last season and then we won the division. What is different this year you ask? WE ARE A BETTER TEAM! Which means, given that we are just beyond the hardest part of our schedule, we can still win the division. All we have to do is win the division games (we still have 2 games against the pats and one against the jets that will eliminate our divisional deficit should we win) and then win the easy games that we are favored to win in the first place.
Look at our schedule… go on look… do you notice how the games we’ve lost have ALL, without exception, been against GREAT teams?? 3 out of 4 of those games came down to the wire and you actually have the nerve to say we aren’t going anywhere? Take that nancy shit to another team please. I hear The Jets are looking for fans.

He was in Brees face and tipped it so Torbor could get the pick.
And he made a few plays.
However, I PO’d at Ginn. He’s going to be leading the NFL in dropped passes here soon.

True. I think the only one that I have seen that seems worth doing
and realistic is possibly going after Boldin. If there is no deal struck between the league and the union its possible that there will be a lot of bargains in free agency as there will be no cap and then teams can start dumping guys without the huge cap hit as in the past.

I love Boldin and all,
but he’s had some nagging injuries this season that hasn’t hampered his game too much, but it still could be a concern if he is starting to take longer to recover from injuries. Just a small concern for me though, I would still take him in a heartbeat.
What about Vincent Jackson from San Diego? I think he’s supposed to hit free agency here too.

he doesn’t drop the easy ones like Bowe and he catches the hard ones as well and is a proven #1.SD has so many contracts coming up I hope and pray they let him get away but they are stupid if they do IMO.
I love Boldin but he’s getting too old too fast because of his style.

Miles Austion and Steve Breaston are also available
The question that lies with Miles is can the Cowboys afford to pay him, he is going to want some serious money. They are paying Roy and patrick boat loads, and they just handed an extension to Demarcus ware.
Steve Breaston maybe resigned just off the strength that AB is hitting 30 soon if he isnt already. So they may want to keep him around to be the compliment to Fitz
Vincent jackson is the best receiver the Chargers got. Chris Chambers is a bust, that why we traded him so long ago. The thing about V Jax is that he is going to be a FA the same time Sproles is up for a new contract.

Ginn
I am not saying Ginn lost us the game. Not by a long shot. Too many breakdowns to pin it all on one player.
HOWEVER, while a “Ricky Williams” might drop an important pass, he also has value he adds to the team.
Ginn has none. His returns suck; he runs out of bounds or dives into a pile of guys. And his routes suck. Did you see that rounded off out route he ran earlier in the game? Of course he gets no separation.

Lefty,
Ginn’s value is his speed. I know many of you get tired of hearing that but the bottom line is that having him in there affects what the opposing secondary does against the Dolphins. Is that going to be good enough to win a Superbowl? No. But at least we have that. I like Bess, Camarillo, and Hartline as players. However, just think about how easy it would be to defend the Dolphin passing game with those 3. They would be running exotic blitzes and jamming those guys to the point where we wouldn’t want to watch our team.
The trifecta knows we need a WR. They just chose to go in a different direction this past draft. Britt or Nicks might have been good but you never know. Remember Yatil Green? He was a beast…Well I only saw him play a few times but they said he was. Anyway, I’m saying be a little more patient.
BTW, I wish I could sleep right now but my liver is quivering ugh!!

i hear ya.
and, yes, i do get tired of hearing about his speed, because at some point teams are not even going to respect that about him. i mean, the odds of beating the deep passing game with a blitz, versus the risk of getting burned by Ginn start to change in favor of the defense when he is so unreliable. so I think you are going to get to that point of having the D play at the LOS anyway.

And Will Allen
Anybody could have caught the interception that Wilson took (Except Will Allen). Right in his hands. And Ginn never needs to see a playing-field again. I don’t know if Ginn could be cut instantly, but if it’s possible, I’d do it. I could try to justify it that the Saints got 14 bs points, but the Dolphins got seven. And we lost by more than seven. Bench the entire starting secondary, and let the rookies play. It’s hard to be any worse than our current secondary.

Actually if we were to run the table its impossible for us to win the division.
Currently the Pats have the lead with only 2 losses. If we run the table and the only losses they have from here on out are against us we have the same record but win again by way of the tie breaker. If the same were to happen with the Jets they are a game behind. That being said running the table is a damn near impossible feat but I guess anything can happen.

I don't think anybody here
is claiming that Ginn should have been drafted 9th. That being said, just because he doesn’t live up to his draft position does not mean he can’t contribute to the team. He is currently the only WR with any speed on the field, so we need him to open up the secondary.

ginn shouldn't have been drafted at all.
how the fuck does he open up the secondary when he drops every ball thrown at him? do you really think other teams are worried about him? i would much rather have hartline get ran down fro behind, at least he caught the ball. you were wrong about ronnie brown and now you’re wrong about ginn.
by ncfinfan on Oct 26, 2009 4:02 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Whether he catches the ball or not,
do you see them leaving him undefended? That would be absolutely retarded. Plus, while he drops a lot of balls they still have to respect the play from the NYJ and a safety will have to come over the top if Ginn breaks from his CB early.
Think about it.

it's hard to break away from the cb when you run your scared little ass
out of bounds. look joel, nothing personal, but ginn gets no more free rides around me. he doesn’t scare anyone, if speed was all it took, then the raiders would be draft gurus. quickness is alot more important than speed. ginn doesn’t have heart, that’s the most important asset of all. other than that, i looked back, and you were right about what you said about ricky and ronnie. my bad. hope ginn proves me wrong, but i doubt it.

You obviously weren't around for any of my debates
on Ronnie Brown. Not once did I say he was a bad player. I wanted to trade him before this draft because his value was high from the hype of the Wildcat and we had an ELITE RB in Ricky Williams and a solid change of pace back in Patrick Cobbs. Plus, a nice little upstart on the practice squad (I was called crazy when I said he was looking good last year) by the name of Lex Hilliard. I was right on all accounts, but I was quite happy to keep Ronnie either way… So man up, and admit you were wrong on all your judgments about me.

Gibril Wilson replaced by Chris Clemons
Ted Ginn replaced by Hartline in starting lineup and Kory Sheets on the roster???
Channing Crowder replaced by Reggie Torbor in the lineup. Crowder would make a good backup in case of injury…
Replace Crowder with Wake or Walden in the nickel?
Fasano replaced by Haynos and maybe make Nalbone active to see what he has?
Any others?

That is the coaches bad choice. If Im sparano I sit Porter on all normal plays and only allow him in on a few here and there for the next few weeks so he can heal instead of overworking the hammy injury. Im sure Porter is all about “IM READY IM HUNGRY PUT ME IN” to Sparano but a good coach doesnt let players dictate things.
Porter is a beast and has proven he is, he needs to get that hamsring 100% and not over do it.

Porter and Taylor, blah, blah, blah. But everytime that kid is in, he is close to making the big sack. The first time he came in, he looked like lightning off the line and almost had a sack.
Rotate Porter and Taylor. Keep Wake in for all 3 downs.
Am I the only one that thinks that if Wake played a full game, he would regularly get 1-3 sacks per game? He looks immensely talented, and I feel they are wasting his talents at the expense of letting Porter and Taylor start.

he has had very few “moments” when he played well. He makes one big catch in a game, and you say he “played well that week”?

Ginns problem now is that Henne throws the ball too hard! :)
While he had that awesome catch against Seattle last year, the huge game against Buffalo last year and the TD catch against the team that shares the stadium with the Giants two weeks ago,he will never be more than a very fast, skinny and VERY timid young man who simply can’t catch the ball and isn’t worth the extremely valuable spot he takes up on our roster.
The one last glimmer of hope I had for him was a QB who could get it deep and use the one thing he does possess which is speed,he has now proven beyond any doubt that he has NO eye to hand coordination AT ALL but lived on speed alone, kind of like a total ditz getting by in life just because shes a knockout.
He didnt draft himself and hes a good kid but he’s killed us in the past,he’s killing us now and he will continue to do so as long as he is expected to do something he simply can’t do and that is adjust to the flight of the ball stretch his hands out and catch a football so he needs to sit.

Teddy Bear and Gibril need to go!
Teddy Bear is a LOST CAUSE. He has basically 0 yds after catch, NEVER makes a tough catch and ALWAYS drops at least one or two catches a game. It is pathetic. He makes 1 or 2 catches a year. He may ultimately end up on another team but it seems when we lose a game, there are always 1 or 2 20 yd plays Teddy Bear SHOULD have made! How many balls have hit him on the arm!!. He has to be the league leader! I cringe whenever the ball goes in his direction.
People mention 3 dropped passes by Devonne Bess. I saw one yesterday. The “fumble” was BS in my opinion. The big screen showed his knees on the ground and the ball in his hands. However, I still thought they should have run out the clock or at least run the ball at the end of the first half.
As far as Gibril Wilson is concerned, all you have to do is say that he couldn’t make it in Oakland!! I can’t believe the management was thinking maybe this could be a Randy Moss type move. He misses as many tackles as Teddy Bear drops passes.
I guess you don’t have to be the Big Tuna to realize we need a Safety and a WR in next years draft!

i don't care where he was picked, he sucks
he sucked in college and now he sucks for the dolphins. i root for him because he is a dolphin, i just hope he’s not a dolphin much longer. as far as cheering him on goes, that’s the fucking cheerleaders job, not mine. i’ve been a fan since70,and always will be. but i won’t blindly follow all decisions made by this franchise for any reason. ginn sucks. period. i hope he’s gone at the end of the year.

what do you think we can get for ted ginn
I think me might be able to trade him for TO. it might be what happend with the oakland and the pats with randy moss.

Well first off trading for T.O. is a big fat N.O. I think if we can get a mid round pick after the season we should pull the trigger.
