Dolphins Starters: Rank According to ProFootballFocus

PrintI was a tad bored today, so I started looking up Dolphins players and their rankings on Pro Football Focus. I was pleasantly surprised by a few, and a little disheartened by some others. Here is a sample:
Henne - T 20th
R. Brown -8th R. Williams - 2nd
L. Polite - 1st
D. Bess - T 10th G. Camarillo - 36th T. Ginn - 64th
A. Fasano 4th
J. Long - 18th, saddened by that.
Sean Smith - 9th! V. Davis - T 33rd
R. Starks - 3rd K. Langford - 5th P. Merling - T 10th Studly DEs!!!!!

if i had to guess
it’s 2nd as a backup?? where as ronnie is in the starter rankings?
both of which seem about right..

Agreed,
but thats not how it’s done, AP is ranked 9th, I’m not sure how they come to their conclusions, but looking through the results I can’t say I agree with them.
I’m a big Bess fan, he’s not #10.

Fasano hasn’t done anything this year. How is Ricky better than Ronnie. Smith has potential, but has nothing that would project him as a 9 yet.

You can filter based on number
of snaps taken. All players, 25% or more of snaps, 50% or more of snaps, 75% or more of snaps. So I guess you could filter by 50% or 75% to get only starters.
So I filtered by all players. So when Ricky is in for a snap, he is the #2 RB in the league. They take a lot more into account than yds and tds. I really don’t understand the formula, but it was interesting nontheless.

They take in all sorts of things
Pass protection, rushing, receiving, and others
Ted Ginn is the man.
They have to be experts within themselves..
just for all of the stats that they take into account!
