So for all of you who actually read the last post, things got a little crazy. But I thank you for that and that prompts me to mention all that commented on that post before I get this one going. So the roll call goes as follows:

So on with the Running Backs I can stand/like:
Did anyone even doubt he was going to be on here? I hope not. What can be said about Ronnie Brown that hasn't already been said about all the superheroes combined? He is truly the rock to our team at this point, the guy is one of the most amazing running backs ever. He can throw, he can catch, he can take snaps, he can run the ball. It's a bird, it's a plane, no sorry, it's Ronnie Brown. I love this guy on our team so much that I had to get an authentic Ronnie Brown jersey, that everyday I hope to look online and see he got a contract extension, and that I know when the ball is in his hands- good things will happen. My theory is that I'd take a Ronnie Brown over and Adrian Peterson anyway, all day (no pun intended on A.P.'s nickname). The guy is easily the most complete running back in the NFL, and I say that with confidence. When he won the game for us vs the Jets: superb, when he threw the ball for the second snap in that game: amazing, when the wildcat was released vs the Pats last year: sublime. I love Ronnie Brown, there I said it. The guy is awesome! Yes, I could go on about Ronnie all day but there are so many more running backs to talk about, well not too many but you get the point.
I was almost going to combine Ronnie and Ricky as one segment but I was like "hell no, these guys both deserve their own section." I'll start off with saying that I could care less about Ricky's drug problems and suspensions. I've heard plenty people bash on the Dolphins based solely on the fact that Ricky was a "druggie" or still is a "druggie" and it just pisses me off. The guy is an amazing football player and he always will be. When I see other players getting caught for drugs, yeah I think they are dumbasses but Ricky is different. Ricky has clinical depression and social anxiety disorder, no I'm not making excuses for him but you do have to count those factors in. He relied on marijuana and other herbal drugs, because he found that they helped him more than anything that could be prescribed. Since coming back for his third stint with the Dolphins, Ricky has been crucial to this team. He has became one of my favorite players to cheer for and watch. I don't know if Ricky was worth a whole draft and then some for the Saints but what I am sure of is that his trade to the Dolphins in 2002 was one of the best things to happen to this organization, and I stand by that.
My top running back in fantasy football makes his way on here and not solely for that reason. The Lions were able to draft him thanks to the Miami Dolphins who traded up with the Lions in the third round. The reason I like Smith is because the guy is stuck on a crappy team but doesn't let that get to him. He has strong work ethic and has desire and the ability to be a leader. He played through the dreadful 2008 season and played through it. He was benched during the 4th game of that season but fought right back and re-earned his starting spot. I like Kevin Smith and hope to see a lot more of him in the future, with the exception of if he ever plays against the Dolphins.
Why? This guy is hilarious. Reference this video. The costumes he wears and the weird after game interviews he has done make this crazy dude get a spot on this list. He is funny and is a pretty good running back. So I have to like him, I love funny players and ones that can play too. So Clinton, you get to be on here.
The reason Maurice gets to be on this list is because I admire a certain aspect of him. During the Rose bowl game, his grandfather, who raised him, had a heart attack while watching the game. Maurice heard the news on the sideline and rushed to the hospital to be with his grandfather, who ended up passing away. In order to honor his grandfather, Maurice added "Jones" to his surname to make his last name Jones-Drew. This story was one of the great stories that I love to hear about NFL players, so because of that Maurice Jones-Drew makes this list. Oh, and because TheTealDeal is so nice, I would have had to add him anyway.
Honorable Mentions:
Pretty damn good running back who got injured in week three and should be back on track this weekend to continue what was starting to be a great season.

I like football
Rooted for the Packers as a kid. My mom was from Wisconsin, Bart Starr was QB, and Vince Lombardi was coach. Not bad and I was young. Lived in Illinois and rooted for the Bears during the Payton years even in their SB win over the Pats who had Tony Eason, my college QB as their starter. DIB, if you do one on all time greats, Walter Payton better be there. Went in the Air Force, spent a year in Colorado during the John Elway days. Spent four years in Europe, when I couldn’t see any football. Came back to the states. Moved to Minnesota where I watched Moss and Carter alot. But like the Pats because they’ve got great coaching. I’ve seen way too many poorly coached teams over the years (including the pretty much any Viking team).
But pick any game on TV and I’ve got a preference for who wins.

How does the Packerer-Viking thing go down? Plus the Bears? Good god. I’m Phins with a minority interest in N.O. My brother is Kc, but only cause he thinks they are in Kansas (idiot). He’s 22, watched 3 games in his life, and couldn’t name a single starter for the past 10 years besides Tony Gonzalez.

Well when I was little and watched the Packers
the whole division thing was beyond me. With the Bears, I understood it, which makes it hard to like the Vikings, except they’re the local team, so I gave it a shot. But the coaching has/does suck.
Spending four years out of the country, practically the entire Bears team was new, so they weren’t really “my” team. Started looking for a team to follow when I got back here. Vikings are a constant frustration (this coming from someone who used to watch the Cubs), so I never really gelled with them despite Moss and Carter. I was drawn to the Pats the more I knew about them. I’m not the kind of Dad that’s going to force his team on his kids. They have their reasons for picking who they picked, I have mine.

My dad represents my Saints minority interest.
Truthfully, I became a Dolphins fan when I was 3 because “Dolphins were the coolest animal” and Dan Marino was constantly in the headlines, so his name stuck out. 16 years later, I’ve threatened, but never left my Phins.

He holds the record for most touchdown passes by a non-quarterback. Also, most interceptions. He even threw a TD pass to his quarterback out of a Wildcat-like offense back in 1985.

I have a deal with DIB, that I’ll write a nice blog praising the Dolphins for winning the division. If you win the division, though, you better win the Lombardi too. Unless of course we grab it through the Wildcard. It belongs in the AFC East. I don’t want the Jets to touch it though.

Oh so many things to say here!
First off another great post from DIB and as always Rec’d!
I agree that Ronnie is the man. No back means more to his team than Ronnie does to the Phins and we all know why!
I also get sooo pissed when Ricky gets ragged on about past issues. Yes some of his decisions were stupid and even hurt his team but he always gets compared to other truely bad guys in the league. A dude smoking some weed is no comparison to someone killing puppies, beating there wife, killing someone, ect.. Stupid and unfair comparison! Ricky is a good guy that has overcome a lot of issues. I for one am happy for the guy and happy to have him on the team.
Last but not least big time props to DIB having a couple of Miami Hurricanes greats on the list!

I agree with your list except for Frank Gore, I don’t really know why, but something about that guy just makes me dislike him. And yes TCP, I know he’s a Cane, but I don’t really watch college football so that doesn’t really mean much to me. =P
Here would be my list:
1. Ronnie Brown
1. Ricky Williams – Yes, there’s a reason both R&R are number 1. And that reason is exactly what DIB wrote about them.
3. DeAngelo Williams – I know I had him on my can’t stand list too, but that was because he just whooped my butt in FF. But disregarding that I really like the dude.
4. Steven Jackson – He had some attitude problems his first few seasons, but he’s really buckled down and become more of a team player. Even said in an interview that he hoped the Rams didn’t trade him because he wanted to stick around and help the team through the rebuilding process and be with them when the rebuilding paid off. Plus the guy is just an outright beast.
5. Brian Westbrook – The guy is a really good running back, but has had the unfortunate luck of being plagued with injuries. Even with those injuries, he still manages to put out great seasons.

Yeah, it just isn't the same thing as pro sports
a lot of people say it is more exciting but I know one thing, on a Saturday if I’m tired I put on college ball and snooze away. I think it is because players will be gone in a few years and won’t get big in the league and be around like the pros. To that people will say “well they will be pros” but that still isn’t even a good enough reason for me to watch it.

My list?
1.) Ronnie Brown. MY favorite Dolphins RB ever. The guy is a smash-mouth football player and say what you want about me but he has a simply magical SMILE.
2.) Ricky Williams- Yaaaa Man!!!! The only person I know who can hit the bong and go RUN over defensive backs.
3.) Kevin Smith- AKA 24K of UCF. The guy’s first run on his record breaking season in college? A 80 yard TD run in the first play from scrimmage on the year. I hope this guy has an amazing career because I watched him represent my college and put them on the map.
4.) Deangelo Williams- Watched this guy in college too at Memphis. He actually got shut down when they played UCF. Last week he scored 35 points for my FF team! He makes the list.
5.) MOJO- UCLA back I LOVE for this reason.
6.) Clinton Portis- From the U, this guy is hilarious. Plus he’s been consistently GOOD for so long now. I think he hangs out with Ricky too judging by this video LOL
7.) Fred Taylor- I know, I know hear me out before you ban me. Teal Deal have my back on this one ok???? Taylor was a gator and NOW a Pat and I still LIKE him. The guy pretty much played for Jax as long as theyd been in the league and it’s so hard to be a starting RB for 10+ years. He was always so quick and now a great spell (3rd down) back but he was always injured and got bad breaks. As long as u didn’t draft him in FF, you prolly liked to watch him run and he DEF deserves a spot on my list.
8.) Darren Sproles- This little lightning bug out of Kansas State beat Oklahoma in the LAST GAME of the year to take them out of Nat’l Championship contention. The guy, like Ronnie, can do a little bit of everything and is so damn fun to watch.
9.) Adrian Peterson- He’s just so damn good. Did you see that stiff arm against the Browns week 1. That is was just a LMAO worthy run. The guy is a beast
10.) Patrick Cobbs. Get well Buddy..
BEST RB OF ALL TIME!- MY BOY, Barry Sanders. My fav player besides Dan the Man. Besides being covered with vaseline and only like 5’8 in height ( I was always short so he was my idol) this guy possibly has 7 of the best 10 plays in NFL history. Hard to imagine I’m taller than him now

I was thoroughly impressed watching AFC playbook on NFL network and on the saints-fins game
they spent the whole segment on the saints passing attack and how miami couldnt stop it and did not cover anything that miami does offensively. quite the one-sided analysisby the so-called experts.

I know he's not playing anymore,
but Warrick Dunn is probably my favorite non-Fins RB of all time. He treats his responsibility as a member of the community seriously. He’s been involved in so many charities, it’s hard to remember them all, but my favorite is the one where he pays down payments on houses for poor, single mothers in the Tampa area on Thanksgiving. A real stand-up guy.

BUT the Knights fans at the UM/UCF game were as bad if not worse as any Jets fan or Raiders fan I’ve encountered at a game.
There was never a time in the game where UCF looked like they could take the Canes, yet every drunken alum or fat, bald guy was ready to fight me when we scored or made a big play.

its not our fault our football team sucks, we make up for it by drinking uncontrolably. I didn’t even know we had a football team for my first 3 years i thought Sat was just designated drinking day lol. Shoulda hung out with me though, i woulda got you wasted, but not to take advantage of you or anything i swear.
