For all of the Henne & Ginn haters pay attention
For all of the doubters out there, here is the Henne to Ginn TD play action pass. I was want to touch base on a couple of things. The list goes in order shown in the video.
1) It looked like Fort Knox around Henne. Our O-line was toying with the Jets
2) Look at Henne's footwork. It's definately improved. He waited for the exact moment to throw the ball.
3) The throw was simply amazing. There was a CP10 interview where he was talking about not only being able to throw the ball, but being able to "drop it" to the receiver. When its first thrown, it looks like a rainbow, then it dropped like a missile.
4) Some people say that Ginn doesn't catch with his hands but with his chest. If Ginn had D cups and a low cut shirt, he would have caught it with his cleavage. IMO, perfect pass. His second level speed was also AMAZING. He would have keep going and burning Revis if the endzone wasn't right there.
5) Look at Ginn's route running and separation against arguably a top 3 corner in the league Revis. Do we really want to trade this guy? He's finally getting it. Or maybe he finally got it (A QB with an arm).
In my last post, I broke down the Saints offensively and defensively. Great read by the way lol. There was a reply where a Saints fan came to our site and said that they are better, yadda yadda yadda. But what caught my attention was that he said that this team was 3 years in the making. It reminded me of us right now. This is our second year, lets see what happens next year. If the Saints deserve it this year, so be it, but they can take a loss on sunday and continue their winning streak haha. Let's stay possitive, next year were headed to the superbowl.

Yup. I've watched this play about 8000 times
And it never gets old. I think Henne’s the guy we’ve been looking for. Let’s hope the Saints think the same thing after Sunday.

I love how you can tell the exact moment when Revis is thinking, "Shit, I am beat!"

Revis' body language after getting beat is also pretty priceless
It looks like he is thinking, “Ted Ginn is the fastest human on Earth.”

Ginn is alright!!
He just not physical enough to be all around. He got open because the CB felt asleep and could not bump him. I still think he has moe potential as a return man!!
Go Dolphins!!

he's not a #1 but just imagine
if we really had a true #1 like Andre Johnson or Rhody White. Ginn as a #2 would post serious numbers against #2 corners

Ginn is an ideal #2 receiver for us. That kind of speed doesn't come around everyday

He got open on a Top 5 CB
in the league. Stop taking away from Ginn on this play.

He got open for two catches and one TD against a top 5 CB.
Let’s put this into perspective. It’s not like he burned a top 5 CB for 10 catches, 150 yds, and 3 TDs. Even the best get beat occasionally, but overall, Revis outplayed Ginn.

I want Ginn to do well but I am with you. Too many people are trying to claim that
Ginn has finally made it based on one catch. Really??? Have these people only followed the game like a month? You have to make more than one great catch to prove anthing in this league. Show me more, a lot more, and I migh just come around. Until then post like this are useless.

like i said in my post below
i just wanted to break down the play that we’ve been waiting to see. That play made us all shit our pants at the same time. It brought up morale for the team. Everyone was complaining about how we werent a deep threat. We finally start to see it, and people start post negativity.

I still can not buy the argument that one deep pass/catch makes us a deep

ginn
made 1 catch and now your trying to telln me he was worth a top 10 pick in our draft? Ginn is simply a homerun threat not a reliable WR that you would throw the ball to on 3rd down and long.
by DRoyce on Oct 22, 2009 8:34 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
agreed
i think a big aggressive reciever who could go over the middle and bully his way to the ball like marqes colsten or brandon marshall would be a great #1 for miami and open up alot for a fast over the top reciever like ginn

We already have 2 reliable
WRs that you throw the ball to on 3rd and Long… that isn’t a need.

I think what they're really getting at...
Is that we have no true #1. A tall, big body, fast receiver who can take any catch all the way. No one is going to mistake Camarillo, Bess, Ginn, or Hartline for Moss, Marshall, Owens, or Johnson (Calvin or Andre).
by luvs2drnk on Oct 22, 2009 2:30 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
exactly exactly exactly, I don't get these guys that try to make "on your face" posts
about Ginn. What’s your point? That he can play? Well sure, cool. But if you are telling me that this one catch that Usain Bolt could’ve made (im not even kidding by the way) suddenly makes him a legit #1 receiver after 2 and a half years then that is laughable to say the least. Ginn can be a good deep threat to stretch the field and all but like you say, HE WILL NEVER BE a randy moss, steve smith, colston, fitzgerarld etc. Those guys not only have much better technique, route running, hands , physicality and mindset, but those guys really got “it”. The super star “I want the ball” quality most of all. Ginn doesn’t have that. We as fans already figured it out, both our qb’s already figured it out, the front office and the coaching staff already figured it out. So just leave it alone

nobody in this post or comments said he's a true #1
or nobody posted he was worth a top ten overall pick. I’m trying to figure out who said that in this post. Still cant find it, dont know where you got that. Anyway i was just breaking down an awesome play. I’m gonna put this very simple, he’s OUR #1 receiver. PERIOD. Is he a #1, maybe not. BUT lets be happy hes actually produced something in a must win game for us. Were not getting a Randy Moss this season, lets not hate on what we have

So what was the point you were trying to make? I'm still missing it!
A guy that we are paying a ton of money to MIGHT make a play in an important game SOMETIMES? Is that your point??? I dont hate Ginn but I do have a problem whith a guy taking up that much of a chunk of the payroll and not producing thus taking up money that could be spent for someone that can. I want a guy that when we throw it to him in the big game and its a good pas that we all know hes coming down with it.

I wasnt trying to make a point, just highlighting a play
that weve been all dieing to see… fuck it some people just dont get it

What I get is that while I was happy that he made a great play last week
I am hardly ready to throw a parade for him based on ONE play. I have been a Dolphins fan my whole life, nearly 40 years, and I have seen so many guys come along like Ginn and show so much promise. Same thing. They make a flashy play here and there and then……..every now and then one makes it but much more just become a footnote in the teams history. Do you know why history is important? Because it tells us what to expect in the future and unfortunatly history repeats it self. Sure I want Ginn to be that guy that breaks through and he may still do that this season. Untill then hes just another guy with a lot of promise that has not proved anything yet!

im not highlighting Ginn at all
it could have been to Hartline. I would have posted the same thing. im just happy we say a 50+ yard pass. FINALLY

Well there is that! At this point I give more of the credit to Henne
for that play. That pass was absolutely PERFECT!

Let's cut all criticism until the end of the season.
Let’s see what Henne can make out of our passing game first. We have all seen tons of replays where there are Dolphin receivers by themselves 25-30 yards out, and CP10 checked down instead. Henne can make every single throw needed by a bigtime QB. If he can’t good production out of Ginn, then we can start that argument. However, I think all Ginn needs is a little confidence and he just got in against the Jets. Now Henne can air it out to him.
Or at the very least, have Ginn 40 yard dash it downfield every play, and that will take out at least their #1 CB and their Safety for the play.

No more teams stacking the box with Henne at the Helm
and Ginns blazing speed. Then R&R will pave the road to the endzone. then when they try to stop R&R by cheating their safeties up. We hit them with the play action Bomb to Ginn. All the teams that study our game tape have to respect Henne’s arm and Ginns speed now.

then the speedy Ginn #2

Loved the play.
Still not going to get too excited about Teddy until it becomes consistent. I see the deep pass capability, but I have also been witness to a couple of years of mediocre play by our #1 receiver as well. And DAMN, is he the biggest pu$$y WR to don the pads or what? Make a block Teddy or at least fight for some yards after the catch. Quit running out of boundseverytime you catch it.
