We are all familiar with all the trash talk about the wildcat formation being a gimmick or a fluke. Everyone says its not a real formation, but in fact it isn't what everyone says about it.
Everyone knows that its coming, but they still can't stop it. Perfect example: the game we just played with the Jest (lol). They knew it was coming, they were gonna stop it. They had one of the best run defenses in the league. Hadn't allowed a single rushing TD all season. Well, they didn't stop it. Even with all the blitzing they did, they couldn't stop it.
The reason why everyone calls it a gimmick: they're jealous. Thats right, they are jealous of our wildcat success. NO ONE has had the same success running the wildcat formation as we have. People try to run it, and it fails. So, they insist that its a gimmick because they can't run it. Perfect example: same game, Jest tried to run a wildcat play, and they FAILED. And guess what they did, they don't use it anymore and they call it a gimmick, while we r destroying their lives with OUR wildcat.
THATS why people insist on insulting OUR formation. They feel bad about themselves, so instead of dealing with it, they insult our formation, which works.

It is a Gimmick when no one expects it to work...
When it does, Its genius. I’m tire of some experts that hate on it.! I think it is the same as a spread option, The defense knows is a pass but it all come down to execution…
The wildcat is the Running version of a spread option. You kow is going to be a run but you dont know who is running….
It is the perfect formation for aDolphins team that lacks an air game. I bet if we had lots of receivers that were good!!!! , we may be talking about a spread option… The coaches did what they had to do to win now!!

SO TIRED OF THE WILDCAT- GIMMICK- TRICKERY ETC ETC !!!
The ability to run options from the single wing formation makes it difficult to predict. HOWEVER, what is so gimmicky about the way WE run it… Correct me if I’m wrong but 90% of the time we run it the same thing happens:
Ronnie gets snap… 10 blocker converge into an apex/rugby scrum. Our 10 guys beat the snot out of the opponents 8-9 guys and Ronnie patiently wait for a seam. Then Ronnie accelerates for 6-8 yards….
WHAT THE HELL IS GIMMICKY ABOUT THAT?
I can understand how a NEW formation could be looked at as gimmicky, maybe if it were 1930’s and Charlie Ace PArker was thorwing the ball for the Brooklyn Dodgers.. They were critized for being too finess when they should be pounding the ball in the single wing…
HUH? Here we are, one of the few team playing REAL SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL and we’re considered “GIMMICK”

basiclly it is a running formation with a pass option i think the goofy name is giving it a bad rep

There are 2 reasons why no one else can run it like the Phins:
- - No other team has 2 elite RB’s like RunRonnieRun and RunRickyRun. (I said it – ELITE!) Ronnie is the primary and he is NOT selfish. He gives it to Ricky when he reads the D as that being the best option. He throws it (& well I might add) to keep the D on their toes. What he does with the ball is totally up to Ronnie. An Elite back is a TEAM player, and plays for wins, not just his stats, but he still gets 1500 a year (like he is on track for this year).
- - The Phins O line. Do I need to say it again? The Phins O line.

I'll give you the injuries, although that still doesn't make him look good.
But as for splitting carries. So do/did MJD, DeAngelo Williams, Derrick Ward, and Brandon Jacobs, but they all had better total/rushing stats then Brown.

What does passing have to do with what we're talking about?
I’ll take the better total/rushing yards by the other players over a RB who can throw. Now I don’t know if any of those other RBs could run the WC as effectively as Ronnie does, but I don’t think I’d call him an elite back quite yet. Ricky used to be, but he’s not the same back he was in 2002. If Ronnie keeps up the pace he’s currently on and avoids injury. I’ll definitely consider it.

True, but once again that only works in Ronnies favor
and also makes him look bad. I say that because those wildcat plays have boosted his stats, whereas those other players I mentioned all got their yards the convential way.

I agree. Thats like not giving a back credit because his like is better than
everyone elses. You still have to be good to go out there and get the yards. Brown was leading the league at the point where he got hurt a couple of years ago and that was all with conventional offensive sets.

Steelers- Parker has been terrible as of late, and is about to, or did lose his starting position.
Chargers- LT is washed up, and Sproles is only good with lots of room
Cowboys- If some combination of 2 of them was ever not injured maybe, but Wade is a tard
Giants- Jacob’s production is tanking
Carolina- More worries than the Wildcat
Baltimore- What duo, Rice is the only player over there
Saints have the best chance with Bell and Thomas, but they don’t need it.

parker was injured and Mendenhall is a beast, still a beast duo.. you must have missed the playoffs last year the combo of any 2 of 3 is deadly
-LT doesnt have the O-line he had a couple of years ago but still an elite back lost his touch tho

-giants – are you really hating on Jacobs? LOL they have the #10 and #12 backs in the league, you’re just hating on that one
