WANTED : A Crew to Run With in NY

Well, it's on !! Only there is a little wrinkle to my plan. After knowing the that my Wife has a delicate disposition and that I am the "bull in the china shop" type, I'm going solo to the Jets game. She is down with rolling undercover ( NO DOLPHINS GEAR ) , but I just can't seem to roll in such a cowardly manner. So, after relaying the comments I've read hear and other stories I've heard from others, the decsion has been made to leave her back at the hotel. I love that woman, but sometimes,.....she takes being a "Nervous Nelly" to a new level. And, really it's for the best I want to have a good time, not worry about being on guard duty making sure nothing happens to her.
So, if you are going to the Meadowlands for the Jets game, I'm looking for some other Dolphin fans to hang with. I'm NOT looking for trouble , but I AM looking for a good time. I don't have a ticket yet, but that is no problem as Ticketmaster still has them for sale at face value. If any groups of Dolphin fans are out there with an extra pair of tickets I would love to bring the Wife. But, at this point I'm looking out for # 1, after all,.....she's going to 4 games in Florida to end the season.
I'll be in the area around noon on Saturday and could use some local imput as to where I should get a room at.

I have tickets promised to me from last year.. and I’ll believe em when I see em’…otherwise Ticketmaster it is for me too… If I get 4 – I’ll def include you in… I should know WTF is up by Monday afternoon… else ,maybe we a few of us can all get tickets from TM that are near each other..
The Meadowlands is not horrible… and very tollerable. Wifey would/will be fine. Toning it down with the gear is a good call, but she shouldn’t worry. Actually the real assholes are few and as they are easy to spot, there easy to avoid… She should go…I’d say we get 20% Phin fans and by the 4th quarter it becomes closer to 40%,as the fairweather fans rush to beat the traffic…

I’m for sure coming in on Saturday, and I think she could be easily talked into going if we were going with others.
But, I gotta wear my gear…….NOT looking for trouble, just a good time. Jeans and a Dolphin coat with dolphin shirt underneath,…….that’s all. Maybe a hat too…….

parking at medowlands is a nightmare. get there very early, and tailgate, so u get a decent spot

There are plenty of hotels in Jersey...
Holiday Inns, Best Westerns, etc… you can get a room cheap and some even provide shuttle service to the stadium…. check hotels in Secaucus, Rutherfiord, Hasbruck Heights, and neighboring areas… Route 3, Route 46, Route 17…..

I am thinking about pulling the RV out of storage and making the trip that will definitely make the tailgating part a hell of a lot better! Leave the game…..roll into the RV, crash or drink depending on the outcome and then leave when the traffic is gone!!

I would like to be include in this...
…I’m flying in to Newark a few hours before the game, and flying out a few hours afterward. Might not be able to make it to a tailgate due to the unforeseen stuff (flight delays, weather, etc), but I would like to know in case everything goes smoothly.
BTW, I’ll be one of the cowards that OHIO is referring to…very little gear, if any. Maybe a temporary tattoo on my shoulder (under two or three layers).

…I know you’re not calling me out. I was just joking around, happy to poke fun at myself. I proudly rock the gear year-round. However, I’m hesitant about attracting any unwanted attention during a Jets game on the road. I want to enjoy the game without beer-soaked, mustachioed hermaphrodites (and their wives/husbands) getting in my face.
Starting to get psyched about the possibility of a Phinsider tailgate.

I totally hear ya.......I was on the fence about leaving the Wife back at the hotel just for that reason.
But, if I can get seats with other fin fans, she’s coming…….
I’ve heard horror stories before, and been to many games in Detroit, Buffalo, and Cleveland,…….
I’m hoping for safety in numbers by travling in a small yet powerful pack ( NO trouble, just fun wanted ) !!!!

…after games in Oakland, Chicago, and Cleveland, I can’t really report any major problems. Just a few drunken smart-ass comments here and there, but never really felt threatened, and those were just trips with my wife or brother.
