Id really like Dwayne Bowe...

but i think shipping Ginn off to KC would be a mistake because with Ginn and Bowe lined up together, Ginn would get a lot more single coverage and allow him to do what he does best… burn people.

Defense is clearly the way to go

I do not by any means understand how Ginn Jr could even be in these rumors. Ginn has struggled because he is not a route runner. While I love Pennington, he didnt have the arm strength to get Ginn Jr the ball on any deep routes. Now that we have a QB who can throw it deep, Ginn Jr will see the ball more in my opinion. Also getting rid of a WR could really hit the psyche of Henne as well.

If I was Parcells I would be going after a top CB or Safety. To me it is clear our secondary is the weakest part of this team and having to play the Saints and Pats in the next 3 weeks; we need to bolster our secondary and this is a great time to do it.

In closing; do not do anything to the offense, this will only be Hennes’ 3rd start, let him work with this and see what happens from there. Please get someone to help us in our secondary to help because I am very nervous about it right now going into the game against the Saints.

Honestly with Henne being able to throw the ball far and do things Pennington couldn’t; how do we really know if what we have at WR isn’t enough?

It isn’t like our offense is going to suffer if we don’t pick up a #1 receiver, not with Ronnie and Ricky. Also right now Camarillo is starting to become a very dependable receiver. To me the way this offense has played the last 2 games, why mess with that?

Our biggest need is in the secondary. New Orleans took the #1 defense in football and put up 48 points on them. What we have now in the secondary isn’t going to cut it against teams with really good offenses like New Orleans and New England.

We have excellent CBs

but no coverage Safeties… we need to bench Bell or Wilson and put Clemons in at FS. Why trade for a safety when you haven’t even evaluated your rookie yet?

Just heard on WQAM that the Dolphins and Chiefs are close to a deal that would send Dwayne Bowe, and Glenn Dorsey to Miami for 3 undisclosed draft pics. I also heard that Miami and Carolina are also in talks to send WR Steve Smith to Miami, but Miami it waiting to see which deal will better serve the team. So, expect one of these deals to be announced sometime today before the deadline.

Holy crap

Reading this just made my nipple’s hard! I like Bowe, but I have seen him take a few plays off in his days….but Sparano is one of the best motivators around and the players really respect him. Dorsey is better suited for a 4-3 defense than a 3-4, but he definitely has talent (something Miami really needs)…plus he can help Solai shore up that line when Ferguson is finally put out to pasture (hopefully not anytime soon!). I like Steve Smith, but he is kind of Ginn-esk if you ask me, and by that I mean size wise. I would rather have the big-bodied Bowe….but in no way shape or form would I thumb my nose at Steve Smith. I dont like giving up picks, but these are proven players!

There is waaaaaay too much invested in the secondary to try and add more too it. Let’s face facts guys, we are not a superbowl bound team this year. I hate to use the R word, but we are still in rebuilding mode. The secondary will continue to gel together, keep in mind only two of these guys played together last year (W. Allen and Bell). Smith and Davis will be the new Madison/Surtain, and you can quote me on that one! Wilson is playing like crap, but is slowly getting better game by game. Give em time boyz, they can only get better.

I know the Steelers beat them the first time last year, but Baby was still all over Roethlisberger in that game.

From the O-line coverage, I expected berger to get injured before the postseason.

For safety, I'd like to get someone like Michael Huff. Dorsey and Bowe sounds great, too.

I always thought Dorsey wasn’t a 3-4 NT though? Obviously the Trifecta thinks they can mold him since he’s only been in the league two years.

My problem with this is.......

We just had two great offensive games, I really feel what we have works right now. Give Henne a chance to see what he has with these receivers before you change it all.

I just think our secondary needs the work more than our offense right now.

As much as hate Ginn

he now has a QB that can play to his game-style. I love CP10, but he just wasnt the right QB for a guy like Ginn. Bess is a stud, and I will burn all my Phinz stuff if they trade him. I know there are emotional attachements with Cammy, but if someone needs to be sent out it is him. Bess is Cammy, but faster/stronger/more sure-handed. I know, I know, would have been 0-16 without Cammy…..but sometimes you just have to let them go.

i feel like if we had steve smith ginn would be good

no need to keep 2 quick undersized receivers. Steve Smith is def better, but I feel as if Bowe and Ginn would be our best (and most realistic option) at this point

Sorry but I feel Bess is more expendable then Cam because Cam IS MR CLUTCH

All the time he makes the 1st down.. he makes the catch when needed. He is the next welker and its obvious he is the go to guy. Very QB friendly. Yes Bess is good too.. He is a very good receiver but Cam has an edge here.

I don’t think Dorsey would work for us. He’s a 4-3 DT much like Warren Sapp who’s playing out of position in Kansas City. That’s probably why they’re trying to trade him.

Dude,

he just developed a rapport with Henne and we saw instant dividends. Ginn’s abilities are finally able to be utilized and fans want to ship him off because he didn’t make a catch like a red zone receiver would have. Maybe if the coaches had put Turner on the damn field, Ginn wouldn’t be harassed for the game winning TD drop against Indy.

Bess is a 3rd down machine

and can get open in the slot. When is the last time that Cammy caught one in the slot? His catches are only at the sideline…watch the games/film and you will see. PLUS, Cammy costs like 10X more to keep that Bess (who is still playing on a Rookie FA contract vs Cammy who got an extension).

One game makes him a better all around receiver than Bess? Bess was 2nd on the all time undrafted rookie WR receptions list..slightly behind an ex-phin killer named Mr Chrebet. I would say that is pretty damn good company right there, wouldnt you??

Yes Bess has more upside

but It seems like Camarillo always makes that clutch catch, like in 07 when he won us our only game. Its a hard decision but I would rather have Beess I think

Very true, but

where in the heck is he the rest of the game? It wouldnt have to be “clutch-catches” if he would actually catch something during the rest of the game. I like Cammy, but if you have to get rid of Bess or him, you keep Bess.

No not one game... he has proven he is a great go to guy.. and he is a bigger target then Bess.

Everyone has said the last year that cam and bess are the same guy but thats not true. Bess is shifty as hell.. cuts better then Cam and is a great catcher.. but Cam is a bigger target and was faster I believe untill his injury, which he will get back to that speed. I just believe if I had a choice between the 2 on the playground my pick would be Camarillo b4 Bess. I feel he has more upside then Bess. Again that does not mean I think Bess is bad. I just feel Cam is slightly better.

Yes but Camarillo

is more a #2 receiver and not really a slot type. But if we get a #1 and Ginn is our #2 and then Bess in the slot…And Hartline thrown in the mix…It just makes the most sense to me…Camarillo or Hartline don’t fit in the puzzle if we get a #1…And I doubt theyd trade the rook

See I dont see Ginn as a great #2 he cannot catch 1/2 the balls thrown at him.

He has missed over 1/2 the throwns so far this season. sure he has made a clutch catch for a big score and we HOPE he makes a ton more of these.. but he is not better then Bess, Cam, or Hartline in my book. He is a situational player and with that I mean in my book he is not an every down receiver. I would give up Ginn b4 Bess, Cam, or Hartline. IF its for a true #1. I believe he have better #2’s already then Ginn would end up being. He is not a CLUTCH catcher.

Yes but Ginn does a lot for this offense

even when hes not catching the ball, he spreads the field and teams have to plan for his speed. That would compliment a big receiver perfectly. But I do agree that Cammy, Bess are better receivers.

Bess is faster than Cammy. And you forget that Bess has another dimension as a decent return man…something Cammy just cant do. I am talking long run here guys, and Bess has a higher ceiling than Cammy will.

The Chiefs have reportedly denied offers to trade Bowe

for a 2nd and 5th round pick. They are probably looking for a 1st round pick, which I don’t think would be in our best interest at this point.

I like the idea of trading porter and a receiver. Porter’s holding our defense back right now because he’s keeping Wake off the field. Plus we’d be getting rid of his contract, which is always a good thing. Isn’t Wake’s contract for $1 million? That’s pretty cheap!

we wouldn’t be getting burned as much if he was. I think Wilson isn’t a great FS but he could be a good SS, better than Bell…but it does make sense that it would take a big cap hit…but so would trading Wilson and we won’t keep three potential starting safeties…That might make Atogwe unrealistic…

Maybe I needa explore that. I just took Edwards instead. He is doing killer

RIght now my #1 is Edwards #2 is Camarillo #3 is Bess and #4 Hartline I still have turner on my roster but he only plays when I sub him in on certain plays.

Funny though.. as much as I do not like White in RL I have him as QB in goal line and as my QB in the WC formation. :) He works great that way.

I have seen some cool things done...

Someone took the old school Tecmo Super Bowl for SNES and created a CD-rom of the greatest single season teams of all-time; of course being Tecmo only had 28 franchises, the Jags, Panthers, Cardinals and Texans were not included

72 Dolphins were for us of course

anyway he had the computer play the season and created 10 minute update clips for each week like they do on NFL primetime; his clips are on youtube, it is pretty neat to watch

you can also download the SNES simulator and CD rom and do it yourself

I have a 360 as well.. I only played a few games online.. I believe I am 4w 3L or 3w 4L Its hard to win with Phins online

You have to really play the clock type of game. as you cannot throw deep with CP10 at all.

You have a very good offensive line (due to roster updates)
Ronnie is ridiculously good and has breakaway speed
Henne can make throws
Wildcat in playbook helps for change of pace
Ricky is a good compliment

the best way yo use pat white in madden 10

go to single back Fpair swap PW at QB replalce cobbs with ricky the smoking williams and it’s a FB Boot Play action and ginn will go on a deep post route and get 30-50 yds. with a TD my big money play it’s 10/10 and u can run with PW or check it down to RW in the flats its money

Now that we have a QB who can throw deep to Ginn, we ship him? Dont see it, unless its a super deal.

Also, why are the Chief “supposadly” trading Dorsey or Johnson? because to them, both don’t fit a 3-4. Why would want to get them here then to play a 3-4? (for Dorsey, its clear, he is a 4-3 pass rushing DT and in any other position he is an average player at best. For DJ, not sure, but can he make the transition to ILB? )

Nothing happens with us, i am sure. This FO believes in the draft.
