5 reasons why Fins will beat New Orleans
1) The Wildcat has been hugely successful - Fins routinely lead in time of possession
2) Ted Ginn - Ted Ginn is finally beginning to realize just how good he is.
3) Chad Henne - Henne has a Cannon, and Ginn has speed. We finally have an arm to go with our deep threat.
4) Saints defense - How much do we hear about them and why should we believe they can stop the Wildcat ?
5) Fins have "turned the corner" - Played only one bad game; should be 4-1
Final thoughts - The Wildcat is not just a gimmick. The reason it works so well for the Fins is really quite simple, we have both Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown. How many other teams in the league have that kind of two-headed monster at running back ? Also, the long 6-7 minute drives of the Fins will tire the Saints D & keep Drew Brees from establishing a true rhythm. This will be a close and exciting game, and the Saints will put up some points, but limiting their possessions is going to be key. Chad Henne has had a perfectly timed bye week to get even more comfortable with running the offense. This game will be a classic and will reveal the true heart of the Fins. Dolphins win by 3 points. You heard it here first (or maybe second, but I did say it). Peace out.

I think we can beat the Saints.
but your gonna have to give me better reasons than that to walk away with a win against the best team in football.
Why we can win…
We’re at home. We’ve played well here, and been really fired up. We’re gonna need to get the crowd into it to help silence Brees and pump up our Defense.
T.O.P- We have shown we can control it, we have played an Indy team that is very similar to the saints. We need to control the clock and run the ball. Henne needs to continue to convert third downs and limit turnovers. Darren Sharper is the best safety in the league IN reading young QB eye’s and turning it into big plays. Chad needs to know where #42 is at ALL times.
We can stop the run. We have proven to be an elite run stopping team. Watch for screens with there quick RB’s and provide pressure on Brees on EVERY snap. There WR core is better than our DB’s, period, so we need to create mismatches and force difficult throws. It will be tough to do, but we can do it. We need the rookies to be PERFECT in coverage and if we can pick off Brees more than twice we win this game.
Laces out!

Maybe the The Colts offense is similar to that of The Saints,
but The Saints D is far better than that of Indianapolis. Plus, The Saints have a better ground attack as well…

Our cb's can matchup at least physically with the Saints wrs
but unfortunately Brees is an elite qb that will exploit our rooks.. damn this game happens just when we get some momentum… sucks

Are you serious?
Did you by any chance watch the Giants game? Did you see the catches Marques Colston and Lance Moore were making?
Shockey’s good, don’t get me wrong, but Colston could be this year’s Larry Fitzgerald.

You have to understand this is based on being able to for the most part have some
success with some good recievers in a couple of games only to get torched my the TE’s.

Like Gonzalez and Clark?
But those are two main go-to guys of those offenses. The Saints do use their tight ends, but not as much. Lance Moore is the main possession receiver—think of him as Wes Welker in black and gold—and he’s finally healthy after a long battle with injuries in the offseason. (Of course, if you do contain him, then yes…there’s still Shockey to worry about.)
Honestly, playing the Saints will be a lot more like playing the Patriots than playing the Colts. I guess that should give you some hope, since you beat the Pats last year.

I know. I'm just telling you where he was coming from.
We have our moments of being able to cover really good recievers. We dont really have those against guys like Shockey. Being a Canes fan I am also a Shockey fan but I hope we find a way to shut him down and somehow limit the recievers somewhat.

TES have been giving us more trouble than WRs, as beastly as Colston is we have been able to contain some pretty good Wideouts.

5 Reasons the Dolphins lose
1. They must be able to score 25+ points, which they have done 2 of their 5 games and which the Saints have allowed 2 of their 5 games (in garbage time I may add)
2. To win, Miami will have to get away from what they do best – RUNNING THE DAM BALL!
3. Saints’ defense has made a living on making a mockery of first year QB’s and making vertern QB’s look like it is their first year (not so much w/ Eli, but Eli wasn’t good either)
4. Miami has made a living, making a living for TE’s. Ooops, J. Shockey is in for another payday
5. Time of possesion does not equal wins (hince Indy game) and neither does leading the league in rushing. Interesting stat here: Of the top 10 passing teams in the league: 1 does not have a winning record. Top 10 rushing teams? 3 have a winning record.
Ooops again. Good to have hope though, without hope – why live?

Biggest Reason is...
Man to Man coverage…we have to be able to play man and get a rush off the blitz to disrupt brees. He absolutley destroys zone coverage. if we run the ball, control the clock, and can play man with the big rush…this game is ripe for the taking.

man to man
if you play man to man coverage against the great saints recievers and constintently blitz brees will throw a touch down pass every time he touches the ball why do you think all these good defenses eagles, jets, giants have played zone
by simone219 on Oct 19, 2009 4:47 PM EDT up reply actions 1 recs
And has zone worked for them?
Nope. Just because they are great defenses in their own right, it does not mean that they automatically make the correct call.

blitzing breese
Breese against the biltz has a quarterback rating over 145 points. He has thrown for over 480 yards and 4 touchdowns when being blitzed.
You need to play coverage and make us work for it. The more time it takes us to score the fewer positions we will have.

Pressure, pressure, pressure! Thats the key to this game. Get pressure in Brees
and you have a chance. No pressure=no chance. I love the wildcat but you would literally have to hope that the Phins O scores a TD on every single drive if you cant figure out a way to get pressure on Brees and make a few stops. Thats just not realistic.

Love the Attitude!!!!!!!
Of coarse it can be done its just a matter of will it. Miami has the type of team that can grind a win against a team like the Saints by doing bascially everything you have pointed out.
They have played some easier games when you look at there schedule with the Lions, Bills, Jets and a McNabb less Eagles. They have managed to turnover the ball at an alarming rate so far with 11 INT with two being taken back for TD’s and have also recovered 4 fumbles. Doing that will win you some games regardless of how good your offense is, so taking care of the ball should be priority #1 and everything else will fall in line.
by markus_13 on Oct 19, 2009 1:59 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Eh,
Kevin Kolb’s performances were comparable to those of Henne… I don’t think The Eagles loss to The Saints can be remotely attributed to McNabb’s absence.
Now, The Eagles loss to Oakland is more likely a result of McNabb’s presence than their loss to The Saints is related to his absence…

Really? ? ?
I would have to disagree with that statement. While Kolb’s stat line was a decent 31/51 391yrds he also threw 3 INT’s and IMO anytime you have to put the ball up 51 times you don’t want it being a 1st time starter compared to seasoned vet like McNabb. At the end of the day doesn’t it change the result of the game? I don’t know but I’m sure first time mistakes were made by Kold that maybe McNabb doesn’t make.
And the Eagles loss to Oakland had more to do with the pass rush than anything McNabb did.

I am not ready to crown Henne . . . yet.
In game 3 he came off the bench, because there was no choice. CP10 was injured. Play calling was, very justifiably, conservative. No surprise, and we lost.
In his first start (Bills, no less), he played very well, albeit with only slightly less conservative play calling. Made sense to me – 1 week of practice with 1st team, everyone starting to get comfortable with each other. Better than even chance to win 1st start. We did.
2nd start – play calling much more opened up, because the O was really beginning to jell with Henne. Jest D was believed by all (outside of Phins staff) to be the second coming of the Killer B’s and Steel Curtain combined. Ronnie, RunRickyRun & Henne shredded that belief! There were some new looks to the WC that we saw against the Jest, not many but enough to confuse pea-brained Rexy. Perfect call & timing og the call on the bomb to Ginn.
3rd start. After the most incredibly well timed bye week ever in the history of the NFL , Henne has the opportunity of a lifetime. And everyone else had time to get healthy again (read primarily RunRickyRun) I suspect the play-calling will be wide open & wild. I suspect that there are a bunch of plays that are specifically designed for Henne that they had not had a chance to practice before this 2 week break. I think there are other WC plays yet to be shown. And I think that the unseen Henne & WC plays will not be used until they are needed! Be it Saints, Jest, Brady, Steelers, whomever.

After seeing how the team has progressed over the last few weeks
I’m not AS worried for Sunday’s game. However we are gonna have to fight the entire game and not let up. Pressure Brees and he’ll rush his throws. Rush his throws and we have a chance to pick it off. Our OL needs to play like they played the Jests. And controling the ball for say 59 minutes wouldn’t hurt either.

will allen sucks too much for us to be able to stay in this
i look at this game much like the Colts game, we did everything right offensively and nothing right defensively and we continue to not play very well defensively. Our offense won that Jets game, and Will Allen (albeit that interference call was BS) looks lost on most plays. we win this if Joey and Jason go Super-Saiyan.

The Saints defense is actually
pretty damn good. They rank 5th against the run and 10th overall. I’m not saying we wont win this game, but I’m not expecting us to win. Any team on any given Sunday can win but the Saints are a damn good team, playing at a higher level than any other team in the league, except maybe Minnesota.
by Ham420 on Oct 19, 2009 3:43 PM EDT reply actions 1 recs
They only rank so high
against the run because they have had very big leads against their opponents to force teams to pass against them. Taking away the run, knowing that teams will pass mostly opens up the opportunity for more interceptions. Normally I like to kickoff to start the game, because if the game is managed properly you have the opportunity to score at the end of the half, then get the ball right back to start the second half. This game however I would be inclined to put my offense out first to score early and get the quick lead, hoping to tip their hand to try and play catchup ball.
The run defense should have no problem stopping Thomas and Bell. The real question is going to be what did the secondary do during the bye week to get it together. We all know that the secondary has been hideous(and that’s being nice about it). What kind of pass rush can the front put on Brees to make life easier for Allen, Davis, Smith and Bell??

Yeah, but if there's a team that matches up well against them, it's us
NYG ran the ball pretty effectively on a few of their drives yesterday, so I don’t see why we can’t expand on that. I think the Saints will have a really difficult time stopping the Wildcat.
The big match-up in this game (for me) is Chad Henne vs. Darren Sharper. Henne’s one fault has been his tendency to lock on receivers, and you just know Sharper is going to be reading his eyes the whole game. That said, I love Henne against their corners. Give me that match-up all day.
Also, just in case you guys haven’t noticed, the Saints have played ONE road game this year, in which they struggled to beat a mediocre Buffalo team. I don’t think their offense is nearly as lethal away from the Superdome.

….someone needs to pay a bit more attention to the schedule. ;-)
Look, I’m a Phins fan from way back (think Csonka/Kiick days), and i’m glad to see them doing well.
They will need to have a PERFECT game to have a CHANCE at winning Sunday.
My thinking: the wildcat may have some limited success (keep in mind that the DC in NOLA has been studying it for 6 weeks now – what, you don’t think he took the time to look ahead? :-) ), but it will score far too slowly to keep up with the way Brees and company can put points up.
If you have any questions, check this out – the Giants had the #1 defense in the NFL until yesterday. Until the end of the FIRST QUARTER yesterday. The first 4 possessions for the Saints = TD’s, the 5th possession ended on a 4th & 1 from the 1 that failed, the Giants got one play after that, the ball was stripped from Manning on a sack, recovered by the Saints, and 3 plays later TD #5. Just so we’re clear here, first 6 possessions, 5 TD’s.
Think the ’Phins can keep up? :-D

You can only put up points if you have the ball…You are sadly mistaken if you think we are going to do a lot of punting. You’re going to have to strip or intercept the ball in order to prevent us putting up 7 on each drive. Also, whether you win the toss or not, Miami controls the clock far better than any other team in the league. We will have the last drive to end the half as well as the last drive to end the game, which will give us 1 more possession than you. Sure, keep putting up those quick points and we’ll make sure we time everything perfectly to squeak out that win in the final minutes.

Miami is unlike any other offense in the league and so teams will be woefully unprepared when they play us because they have been spending the entire season practicing against traditional offenses.
If anybody has a chance to beat The Saints, it’s Miami.

Brees doesn't need a "rhythm".
Let’s be honest… just like Manning, he can step in and throw a TD on his first pass. This rhythm talk is nonsense when referencing HoF bound QBs.

I will have to see Brady do it against a real team. I watched that game yesterday
and I dont remember a defense looking worse in all my life. Heres a tip-you might want to cover Welker at some point when playing the Pats. Some of Bradys passes were terrible and they still went for TD’s. He had two that looked like ducks shot out of the sky and they still went for TD’s. The running game was also gashing the Titans D. I assume that Brady will be back too but that game can not be the benchmark to judge it by.

I understood completely . . . .
I jut don’t believe Drew Brees has, to this point built a HOF career (one great season does not a HOF career make}. Drew will have to play at this level for at least 5-6 more seasons to make it to Canton. When one says “HOF bound”, to me that means that if he never played another down of football, he has already done enough to make it. Perhaps we just had a misunderstanding.

definitely
he is not a lock to make the hof of course, but if he were to stay on track with his play the last 4 years he will make it. The Saints have been at the top in offense for 2 of the last 3 years & also so far this year. Him not having a Super Bowl trophy yet is all his D’s fault, he can’t control who’s on his team. The guy had over 5,000 yards last year with no 1,000 yard receiver. That’s pretty telling, no top flight receivers and no running game. Last year he was blitzed like crazy because nobody was scared of the run, which of course is why he’s so damn good against the blitz now.

Even if you take away Sharper’s 5 interceptions, Saints still have 4 more interceptions than the entire Dolphins team.

A lot of that is because The Saints D
has been on the field much more often than The Dolphins. That’s just the nature of putting up quick points on the board… there are more drives per game on each side of the ball.

One reason why Phins Win: TOP for New Orleans = ZERO minutes ZERO seconds
reposted from an earlier fanpost:
Make Brandon Fields INACTIVE for this game.
We are not punting. No field goals. Field goals = surrender, okay maybe the last one is okay.
We win 59-0 because New Orleans has a Time of Possession of ZERO minutes and ZERO seconds.
Drew Brees’ stat line: 0-0-0 0 yards and 0 TDs.
Spend the week practicing onside kicks, pooch kicks, high-velocity-direct-hit-on-the-return-blocker kicks and fumble recovery with a special onside kicks unit that includes Joey Haynos 6-8, Pat Turner 6-5, Cam Wake 44" vertical, Sean Smith 6-4, Ted 4.29 Ginn, Kory 4.38 Sheets, Chris 4.39 Clemons, Davone great hands Bess, and Greg human vacuum cleaner Camarillo, and Jason 6-6 Taylor. Even if they are expecting the onside kick, there is no defense for a kick bounced high and caught by a 6-5+ player.
On anything 4th and 10 or less, Chad Henne is going for it (so our strategy on Third and Long is just to get close enough to convert the 4th down…most teams will naively allow substantive yardage on third down just to make the stop and force a punt. Not happening with us.
On 4th and more than 10 we have to at least show punt formation. We use Tyler Thigpen as the punter, Chad Henne as the Personal Punt Protector, and Pat White in the slot who goes in motion to the left to take a Wildcat handoff.
Option 1: Chad Henne takes the direct snap and makes a precision throw to a receiver who begins to hook and lateral ala Stanford-Cal game.
Option 2: Thigpen takes the snap, hands off to White who looks to throw, but can also run if room. After White passes the line of scrimmage, he looks to throw a backward lateral to a trailing Thigpen up the right side of the field. Handoffs and Pitches ensue. Practice making "fake fumbles forward" look like real fumbles. Recover the fumble.
Option 3: Thigpen takes the snap, fakes to White and looks to pull a Steve Weatherford as well as throw.
If all options are exhausted, he can try to pull a "Charlie Anderson" and hit a Saint player short with his kick that Miami recovers (hopefully). Last option: kick it as far as he can but out of bounds so there is no return
All of this is preconditioned on Darren Sharper not returning any INTs for TDs and Henne not fumbling in the endzone recovered by Akin Ayodele’s "little" brother Remi.

2009 rule change says that you cannot bunch more than 5 players on one side of the
kickoff lineup.
You can try as many onsides kicks as you dare, provided you follow the rule.
Recovery rate about 12% for those expected (and not extensively practiced).

Saints fan here
This is actually the game I’ve been most worried about since early in the season. A few teams have run some wildcat on the Saints so far, and the defense doesn’t seem to have come up with a good answer for it. That’s pretty much the key. Everything else mentioned here is grasping at straws.
Blitzing Brees is a recipe for disaster. He has a near perfect passer rating against blitzes. The Jets actually did not blitz nearly as much as they usually do, preferring instead to play a lot of deep coverage. That succeeded in keeping Brees from having a big game (he did still complete about 2/3 of his passes), but the Saints responded by rushing for over 150 yards. The Bills tried the same thing, and the Saints ran for 222.
The Saints D is very good – especially at getting other teams off the field. They are ranked 1st on 3rd downs – opponents only convert 27% of the time. Jabari Greer has 9 passes defended, tied for 3rd with guys like Asante Samuel, DeAngelo Hall, and Darrelle Revis. Guess who is ranked #1? Yep, Darren Sharper. Tracy Porter is no slouch either.
Basically, the Dolphins are not going to be able to keep the Saints from scoring when they get the ball. The key for the Dolphins is to use that wildcat as much as possible to score and hopefully limit the number of snaps Brees gets.
Good luck to the Dolphins this year – just not this weekend. ;) I’d love to see them continue that run they had last year. I’ve always liked them since I was kid back in the Griese and Marino days (I had to have at least one good team to root for!).

This game plan
Sounds like what was tried against Indianapolis. Run a lot of Wildcat. Pound the ball, eat up the clock, keep the other offense off the field. Did it work?
The Saints have a more potent offense than even the Colts, and a better defense, too. But here’s the stat that might tell the story of this game: turnover differential, Saints: +9, Dolphins: -3. You can’t score on every possession if you can’t keep the ball.

But he didn't catch it
Fins lose. Your strategy didn’t give you enough of a cushion against individual failures. You walked too fine a line, and when you slipped it was all over. You can’t play that way in the NFL and hope to beat elite teams.
What you’re saying is essentially you’ll have better luck this time. But you might have worse luck. In fact, your luck has already taken a turn for the worse…because this time, you’ll be up against a better team.

Disagree
Better Luck is not defined as catching a catchable pass (or two). Teddy! That is called avoiding incompetence.
We can expect competence. Phins lost the Colts game not because of a faulty gameplan, but because of lack of execution (especially a lack of tackling). Hence, if we execute, we win.
By the way, there is no cushion against individual failures when facing a quality team like the Saints.
Best option: keep Brees on the bench.

I have great respect for the Saints.
They are a dominant team, and it looks like it is their turn this year. I just think the Dolphins have a key to beat them. TOP, and limit mistakes. The Saints are a better team than the Dolphins statistically. However, the Fins are no slouch and I think it will be a close game.

I was worried about the Gnats game...
Boy was that unexpected….
I saw above where someone said the bills and jets stopped our offense. Didn’t happen. The Saints went into those game expecting to run the ball and did. Preparing for the Gnats they knew that the G’s secondary was banged up. Hence letting the Brees blow. Think your secondary is hideous? Peyton knows that and will attack there…. If you have PT or Bell on your fantasy team better bench them for this game. Think your wildcat will score every drive? Not a chance…
Before you pick your Super Bowl winner ask yourself this: Can you name an offense that can keep pace with the Saints?- Jerome Bettis

my comment is historically accurate, and the middle finger thing was invented by the Frenchies. france went up against england and the crazy english king cut off his archers middle fingers, so when France won the war they ran around giving the english the middle finger! But nice interpetation!

just another saints fan.
I have read the entire blog and I have to admit, the MIA fans are MUCH more civil than the g’nats, i give you SO much credit just by that fact alone!! I thank you!
On to my points though… you have some rookies that will do as all rookies do, make mistakes(thats just how it goes) in attempting to keep up with our O squad, your QB may just throw one ball into our hands (sharper will be watching!) and if you do… wow you will have to double it up on us(how many teams this year have had 2 td’s to our 1 yet?). next point (assuming you have no faults in your rookies, and no interceptions) If you blitz every time on every play, how quickly will you drain those players, and then comes mistakes…. all brees has to do is see this (not even mentioning Sean P yet), and take advantage. assuming you DO blitz every time, your are dealing with Drew M’F’ing Brees… do you not remember the saints of the last 2 seasons? our defense was HORRID… do you think that brees hasn’t seen blitz come through? do you think he cant handle himself on the field? if you do you may be wondering down the road that the g’nats did…
This is why he gets the ball away quickly! he has Vietnam flash backs to 06 07 08 (LOL!).. to also say that you can handle ALL of our O squad would put way to much pressure on your men… everyone on our O squad comes ready to make big plays.
If you happen to run the ball every time I wonder how long can your 2 hold out?
defense and Kick returns will decide this game, not offense…. and I know you love your wildcat!! I think it is neat, and pretty effective. All we need is one interception, and/or fumble… if we score on that I think it may be over after that.
I do think that you will put up a fight and in doing so be one of the first teams this year to be WITHIN 14 points of our score…

thats why I said within 14… i dont like predictions with numbers ..(they make everyone look bad)! just remember Brees threw for 5,000 yards last season(14 less than dan marino)… and we only came to 8-8 and not one of our receivers had more than 1000
I dont mean to talk to much about last season because that is exactly that… last season
BUT We had no one last year now we have… well you can see! Plus we have consistency, tempo,

want hand grenades?
The NFL sent out its rankings this morning and the Saints are back on top in total offense.
They rank No. 1 overall (fourth in rushing and seventh in passing). New Orleans also has a top-10 defense, ranking ninth overall (fifth against the run and tied for 14th against the pass).
by doublewide on Oct 19, 2009 11:27 PM EDT reply actions 1 recs
henne?
He is a young starter with no experience. We all know how the young qbs have fared so far this year. When the Dolphins finally DO attempt a pass Henne will be under a lot of pressure & they can’t afford for him to put them in a bad position & be down. As far as the run goes I don’t think they will be able to sustain the long drives. Granted they will have success because they should be able to catch a few long runs, the Saints have a VERY good run D. Not only that but as soon as the Saints score a couple tds and the Dolphins go down then there goes your run game. I do like the Dolphins & what they’re doing but I don’t see them being the 1st to take the Saints.

who asked you phinstifosi?
I simply respond to a post with the name “5 reasons why Fins will beat New Orleans” and you two get your panties in a bunch. Did any of you happen to see a Saints game so far?
You think the fins will win because of time of possession? It worked well against the Colts didn’t it, how long did Payton have the ball again?
Oh and you think that Henne will have the deep ball to Ginn? He won’t even have enough time to get the deep pass before he gets nailed.
You will see exactly how good the Saints D is at the expense of the poor lil Miami perch.
PhinsTifosi you also seem smart like your compadre Texas punk.

calm down "punk"
I’m not dissin Henne at all, just saying if he gets rattled then it will not be close. I like Henne and I know he will be a good player for a long time. He might light them up who knows. If the Dolphins go down by a td or 2 early and Henne has to start dropping back more than they are running, remember the Saints have a good pass rush & are number 1 in turnovers. So before you criticize me how about you get your facts straight. I could say the same about Jamarcus Russell, he has completed some very difficult passes this season. Every pass he attempts is difficult seeing as to how he’s on a bad team, genius. Oh and thanks for calling me ignorant in the same sentence you say “shure”. You are a class act.
by J Rock on Oct 20, 2009 1:18 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
First off not every pass is difficult because of the team he is on. That statement is
ignorant! Comparing Henne to Russell is also ignorant. Some passes are difficult because they are considered difficult by any standard. Some passes are also considered easy. He also has made those. I did misspell a word but I think that hardly qualifys as me being ignorant. Its probably more of the fact that I have let myself become dependant on the damn spell check. So sorry for that! You infer that I am classless but you come to our blog and call me a punk and you call our team a “bad” team. That certianly shows quite a bit of class. Having lived in NO for eight months directly following Katrina as I attempted to assist the residents and then help in the rebuilding of the city I am not going to hold you against them as I made some really great friends there. I’m going to just go ahead and assume that your another one of those Jets fans. Well a closet fan. Yeah, you fit in over there perfectly!

I didn’t call you a punk, you did…. Texascow"punk". I’m not comparing Henne to Russell, there’s nobody that you can compare to Russell except maybe Ryan Leaf. Only saying that you can’t go on him completing difficult passes as being a legit reason why he will win. Every qb completes difficult passes.
Guess you can’t have some criticism against your team. I only had to point out that you misspelled a word because it was in the same sentence you called me ignorant, sorry. By the way I never said the fins were “bad”, I actually said I like them.

Well JRock its Texas (where I now live) and Cowpunk (a style of music).
Your welcome to come over and have a polite discussion but you are fooling yourself if you think we are not going to defend our team. Having met many a Saints fan in there home city and knowing how passionate they are about their team I have a feeling the same would apply at the NO blog.
I personally hope the Saints team underestimates the Phins as much as you have. I agree at this point there may be no better all around team in the NFL but that does not guarantee a victory. Based on what all the Saints fans have said over here today we should not even bother to show up.

by texascowpunk on Oct 20, 2009 2:03 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
ha
I’m not underestimating any team, I learned a lot from the Saints in the past not winning against horrible teams. I think the fins have the best shot at beating the Saints besides the Pats. The style that they play with tough D and a very run oriented O. That’s how you beat high powered teams, keep the ball out of there hands. I know it will be a good game, the only reason why I think the Saints will win is because of the qb. He doesn’t have enough experience yet in my opinion, to play opposite of his teams defensive style. If he doesn’t turn it over & get the Saints extra possessions then it’s a toss-up.

If we the dolphins win is due....
1)Ginn returning one for a touchdown and 120+ recieving yards.
2)Patrick Turner is activated and get 1 TD in the red zone.
3)2TDs from Ricky or Ronnie a results of a 250+ rushing yard game.
4) 1 TD from Fasano n the Red Zone.
5) 3 40+ Field goals from Carpenter
6) 2 Interceptions inside their own 40.
7) 4 sacks from our defense

I Love it!
The banter between fans is awesome!
Big Saints fan here and all I really hope for this game is exactly what’s on the menu: A pass-happy offense with running ability versus a pretty good defense with the will to win at home. On the flip side, a defense coming into their own versus a team that ‘owns’ the wildcat moniker and a fresh QB trying to make a name for himself with good WRs. This should be a good game and one I’m waiting to watch. (From a personal perspective, I’m really glad that it’s being played so late in the states so I can sleep until 0500 and still catch it….those early games are killing me!)
All we should really be concerned about is all the players making it through the game without serious injury. May they all sweat blood and tears but come out with bones and ligaments in tact. Amen.

Sup Fins Fans!
Looking forward to a great game on Sunday.
First off, glad ya’ll found a quarterback, it seems to be the only thing your team was missing. It’s like you have a Marino curse.
Second, thanks for choosing Culpepper over Brees, New Orleans really appreciates it.
Third, it doesn’t matter how much time you spend in TOP if you don’t have the lead. If the Saints score first and take 1 minute, and you spend 59 minutes scoring, it’s still 7-7 (barring a 2 point conversion of course)
Which leads me to my main point, you need to win the toss to have a chance at winning. The Saints have not trailed at all this season. Let me say that again, the Saints have not trailed at all this SEASON.
Finally, we’re due. We’ve spent 4 decades sucking, it’s a matter of probability. We were bound to have some good seasons.
Good luck Sunday.
