Last day to get a trade in is coming up

With this day coming up, will the trifecta make a deal? Yes I know about Kory Sheets. Yes I think he's an upgrade as our returner. I still think we need that #1 receiver. What are the odds that the trifecta will go after Dwane Bowe? I figure it'll cost at least a number 1, probably a number 3, and more than likely a player like Camerillo or Roth. I still say it's more than worth it. Bowe was drafted in the first round so giving up a first rounder for a player that performs like a true #1 receiver is in my honest opinion, worth it. The Chiefs have said that he's available for the right price. I say the price I suggested is well worth the deal. Can you imagine Bowe on one side and Ginn on the other with Bess in the slot? Our receiving core instantly is feared.

Any thoughts?

The Chiefs have said that Dwane Bowe is available for the right price. They have not specified what that price is. I say we make an honest try at getting him by offering a first, a third, and a player like Camarillo. Don't get me wrong, I hate Ted Ginn and think he is about as useless as a #9 pick in the history of the NFL draft, but I can accept that he makes a good #2. Bowe would be the ideal #1 receiver that we need. He runs excellent routes and had soft hands. He's young and would fill a critical role for years.

Any opinions?

Bowe is over-ated

I’d trade Turner and maybe a 3rd rounder for him but a 1st or 2nd is much too valuable for a guy like Bowe. HIs’s a big target, good on some days and invisible the next game. Why would KC want to get rid of him?

We don’t need another receiver. We have run-dominated offense, a rookie-ish QB at the helm and the wildcat. At this stage in the rebuilding process, high draft picks are gold.

Rebuild through the draft

especially considering the hits we’ve had in the first 2 Parcells drafts. We got 5 starters out of last year’s draft plus 2 UFA. This year looks like we’ve hit on Davis, Smith and Hartline and maybe one day Pat White. We shall see about the rest. Another draft like those and we’ll be a team that stays in contention for a long time.

I wouldn't go after Bowe...it seems he''s injury prone

does the wr core work? really?

They can’t block downfield. They can’t catch on the run. They are non-existent in the redzone. This is why you don’t start 2 or 3 “slot” receivers at a time. You need different size and ability guys on the WR core. We have 4 guys that play basically the same… We need a Dwayne Bowe. If we choose to go the cheaper route then that’s fine. I expect a 1st round wr from the trifecta next year. Time to get some real playmakers for Henne

The main reason for that is that our

WRs have had to run comeback and other routes that make them stop. Camarillo had about 7 yds YAC on a crucial first down, because of his strength and Henne’s perfect throw. I agree with you we need a #1 WR but our WRs ARE talented
