2 Questions. Q1 - WildThig?

I realize this question was sort of covered in this post but what if Tyler Thigpen ran 1/2 of the Wildcat plays on Monday? He ran for 386 yards last year - a 6.2 average - and he is a passing threat which Ronnie Brown and Pat White are not.  Thigpen passed for 2,600 yds in 11 starts - 14 games.  Not great but not bad for a statistically poor team.

Last year Ryan showed the league how to defend the Wildcat. Wouldn't it be a good time to unveil a new wrinkle in the Wildcat AND stick it to the Jets?

The question is: Should the Dolphins use Thigpen in the Wildcat for 3-5 plays on Monday?

This is a must win.

We do not need to experiment, but we do need to bust out something unexpected that has been practiced all season long…

Everybody buckle up because the REAL WildPat will be unveiled this Monday Night.

So why couldn't the unexpected be Thigpen? Ryan is smug and

thinks he knows exactly how to squash the wildcat. He did it a couple of times last year. Why not again? A legitimate passing threat from the wildcat could make Ryan’s preparation worthless – or at least 20-25 yards worthless.

Even though the Jets know it is coming, even though they have prepared for it, practiced for it, it should still work. Because when it comes down to us versus them at the line of scrimmage, we will win because we are more physical. Period. But maybe not as well as before. If that is the case expect Henning to add a new wrinkle. Why not Thigpen?

Thigpen has more experience than White, so if he is only running a few Wildcat plays...

he would be and should be the 2nd QB.
I wouldn’t limit him to 3-5 plays. Just run the plays. If they don’t work. Don’t use them.
If they work, keep using them until they don’t!

How about

We don’t put neither white or thigpen in? Lets have Henne get into a rhythm so he can get better. I honestly believe we can run on the Jest and that we can also pass if we get the run game going. With Cp10 it was ok to take him off the field and such but I think we should run the Wildcat a little less and let Henne get into a rhythm. Now if we can’t run or pass then by all means lets try something else but I just don’t see it happening like that. Lets have him throw and let Ronnie run out of base formations if Henne is hot. If not lets see just Ronnie in the backfield. I don’t trust neither White Or Thigpen in their.

Same here on the Thigpen/White thing. This is not the game to experiment.

I do think that the Wildcat can be effective.
