On Monday the Fins will step into Land Shark Stadium to take on their rival NY Jets.  When the NFL released team schedules this would have been on of those games that you circle, because you know it will have playoff implications.

As the two team come in to Monday night, they are in two very different places.  The Fins are fresh off of their first win of the season, with a new QB, and a run defense that would scare any team.

The Jets come in after suffering their worst loss of the young season and green faithfuls are wondering if Sanchez was nothing but fools gold the first few weeks of the season.

This is going to be a great game if you love defensive battles!  In terms of a matchup, it actually looks very favorable for the Fins (ok, I am a Fin fan but still).

Both teams have top defenses.  This means that this will be a low scoring game that could be won with a huge defensive play like a pick six, blocked kick, or fumble.

The main reason the Fins should win this game is because of rookie Mark Sanchez.  Emphasis on the word rookie.  The Fins will stop the run and the rook will have to make plays with his arm.  This means he will have to make the right reads and be very poised in the pocket.  Last week he had his worst game of the season, it could very well be heavy on his mind and he could be doubting himself just a bit.  If that is true a few bad plays could lead to him selfdestructing very early in this game.

Another reason that I feel the Fins will win (and call it superstition) is becasue it is an Orange-out in South Florida!  The Fins have never lost in the Orange unys and they will be pumped up.  They will have home field advantage and the crowd will be crazy for their first Monday nighter of the season!

I see both teams scoring less than 18 points and the margin of victory being less than a touchdown.  I also see Sanchez making a very bad read and one of the Fins young secondary players stepping up and making a big play!

If the Dolphins win this game then they are back into the playoff picture!
