GREAT SEASON DOLPHINS!
Thank you Bill Parcells
Thank you Coach Sparano
Thank you Jeff Ireland
Thank you Dan Henning
Thank you Brett Farve for enabling us to land Chad Pennington
I hope there are no substantive changes to this front office and coaching staff, as I trust them completely to make smart off season decisions and improve this team even more.
So let the speculation begin - who stays, who goes, who do we pick up, who do we draft, what positions get addressed?
They need to re-sign Crowder, that's a no-brainer in my opinion. Not sure what specific free agents they should go after beyond that, but I'd like to see us land a top-notch WR.
As for the draft, I say keep stocking up the lines - get some big men on both sides of the ball.
What do you think?

Yeah, a solid shutdown corner would be awesome
Our defensive backfield will need addressing – they overacheived this year, and we’ve got some UFA’s that we need to either re-sign or replace.

I hate to say it, but
I think we need to take a good hard look at quarterback. I was really hoping for Henne in the 4th. Don’t get me wrong… I’ve been in love with Pennington all year (not like some of you guys tho, that’s not how I roll lol), but man… he stunk it up today. He does not handle the pressure well. At all. And that’s what you get when you make it to the playoffs. Tough defenses. Let’s face it, the AFC East had a pretty weak schedule and we didn’t see too many people get after the quarterback like the Ravens did today. That’s a huge compliment to the offensive line, which is solid. But when the pressure comes, we need somebody to make plays and not freak out. CP10 looked to me like he was playing scared when he was throwing the INT’s. It was not a pretty sight. Sad too when the defense was out there holding their own. It was a frustrating day… aaaaghhhh!!!!
That being said… I’ll be ordering my AFC East Championship gear tomorrow (I was holding off, just in case). And I can’t wait for next year… It’s an exciting time to be a Dolphin fan.

CP10
On the whole, CP only had 2 bad games this year, and they were both against the Ravens. They have an elite defense. The Phins were playing under pressure the last 3-4 games of the season, when it became clear that they had control over their own destiny, and Chad played great in those games… granted none of them were against a defense the caliber of Baltimore, but my point is you can’t just chalk it up to high pressure situations. The 11 players on the other side of the ball had a lot to do with Chad’s performance yesterday. Like many others have said, if we didn’t have Chad, we don’t win the AFC East and host a playoff game. I’ll take that.
Now, all that being said – we do need to plan for the future and figure out if Henne is the one to succeed Penny, because that decision will come sooner rather than later. Penny is injury-prone and getting older, and, while I expect him to enter next season as the starter, there’s no guarantee he’ll finish the season as such.

OLINE
we had injuries…with smiley and thomas in there we score that td on the 1st drive and the game changes. i want a right guard 1st round. this is ridiculous….we need to be able to run the ball without the wildcat…and we CANT right noe…it was painfully obvious today.
Will Allen folds in big games versus real WR’s…..time to replace him

the secondary is still a work in progress
YBell may be the only keeper as far as starter caliber. Goodman is a decent corner, probably best used in nickel situations moving forward, and is +30 as well. We won’t be taking a RG first round, not with Smiley and Thomas both coming back from injury.
I could honestly see us letting Carey walk and grabbing a RT early. He just didn’t have it this whole season, and he really looked slow out there today… I don’t know what it was, but I hope our coaches and FO do and make the right decision regarding that position.
