2007 vs. 2008
Senior bowl week is traditionally when I really start to take a hard look at NFL prospects for the upcoming draft. I don't follow college football in-season, so I'm just now figuring out who everyone is. I'm intrigued by several players, but overall I'm just incredibly excited for the off-season process as a whole. The re-signing of in-house free agents and the courting of players from outside the organization. The combine in Indy is always exciting as well. All in all, the 2008 off-season is shaping up to be pretty monumental. But how does it stack up against last year's? The 2007 off-season was incredibly exciting and vital to the prolonged success of our franchise as well. So, try to think back to around this time last year...

Can I vote for the 2009 offseason?
I’m looking forward to this offseason a little more than last year. For one, we don’t have number 1, which is great. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the 25th pick. After last years offseason, and all that was done with it as far as positive players, and results, you can’t help but feel excited about what this offseason will bring to the Dolphins. Looking forward to seeing who we take into training camp!

I considered making 2009 an option.
But sooooo much could happen within the next year that I decided to keep it simple.

My dates are in reference to the season that was just completed.

ahhhhhhhh, gotcha
then I’ll got with ’08 for above stated reasons. I was thinking 07 offseason: Cam Cam and the Ginn Family, 08: The Trifecta, Long etc….. 09: its here….

No worries.
I’m sorry about the confusion!

I am more exited about this off season. I mean its crazy, because my emotions were so involved last year that anything Miami I read and disected. I enjoyed the off season so much that at the end of the regular season I was already telling friends wait til next year. Thank God i was right. Last off season, was just an appetizer, now that we have a formula and a bunch of guys that know more about each others tendencies, this years will be crazy. I can imagine that alot of the guys are hanging out saying how they are going to improve and hit the gym even harder. This year will be monumental and key because some may say it was a fluke. But another division win next year and play-off berth will solidify us again as a frnachise that is not to be toyed with. We have so many things working for us. And the fact that we are so young, this can go on for you years. I hope that the free agents we have don’t leave and disrupt the nucleaus they built here. I mean they should want to be part of something good, something special. I am sure that this coming year will showmore improvement. I really want to stay under the cap and sign some good guys, and the draft will be special. This year is going to be AWESOME!

I apologize to the 4 people who had already voted...
… but I redid my poll so that it will be clearer. I’d appreciate anyone who feels up to voting again!

Voted this offseason
this is the first time in a long time we get to see an actual plan continue on into year 2. We get to see how this regime continues to build on the success of last offseason. Last offseason I was excited and hoping we would improve and find some diamonds in the rough. This year I’m looking for a few bigtime playmakers and to get this team to the next level.
