PrintI just got a call from my boss that I am due at work at 8am and working the entire day. He said there was no way out of it and it was mandatory for my employment. He knows that I am a diehard Phin fan so faking a sickness is out of the question. I am truely at the verge of tears right now. My whole life, I have been a diehard and this is the biggest Dolphin game in my lifetime. It sucks that I am going to miss it. I am thinking of sneaking in a small radio with one ear headphone but my job consists of meetings so I will only be able to put it on when there are small breaks. Anyone else have any ideas? Anyone else in the same boat? This sucks. =(

this is what i did for the few games this year I couldn't watch live
recorded them on a DVD and watched em later.

THIS IS A CODE AQUA PEOPLE......
we cant let this happen….listen to me JP….here is what ur gonna have to do,,,its fool proof…but it might cost ya a few bucks….read on only if willing to do what u must for the code.
Step #1…as of this minute…today…..start dropping "Man i ate some messed stuff earlier…make it oysters…people listen when u talk bad oysters….
step#2…if u have a work day tomorrow….walk like the living dead….but pull through….what a trooper!!!
step#3…..SAT NIGHT GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM…complain of stomach pains….vomitting..then tell them the oyster story…MOST IMPORTANT GET SOMETHING THAT SAYS YOU WERE THERE!!! food posioning my friend…..what can ur boos do? fire u? if he makes u come in at 8……go with the story even till then still..show the note…win an oscar! go to the bathroom ALLOT. bring the medicine the doctor gives u for anti-nausea….DO IT
even find a walk in clinic if u dont wanna go to the ER….thats less dramatic..but as effective.
My advise is go in Sunday…work till 11…not 1245…thats too obvious. hand in all notes….KNOW NAME OF WHERE YOU ATE….

food posioning is easy to fake...and doctors go with it if u give them the obvious clues...
the best part is the only cure is pepto and rest : )
effin do it…walk in clinic….1 hr of ur time….50 bucks…..ur home with a valid excuse….something u can get well from within days

It is funny because I am crazy superstitious too. My explaining is if it isn’t real, then there is no loss. If it is, then I am helping. I went as far as wore the same shirt I wear every winning week (I change to a different shirt when we lose) to a charity event for the Heat. All the Heat players were kinda like wtf, lol. They understood when I explained it though.
I am just going to be super mad if they lose and I didn’t watch. I def would feel to blame, as dumb as that sounds.

Try to ask if you can listen to a your radio earphones (from an mp3 player or something in pocket with radio) for 3 hours, with continous breaks between (halftime, timeouts, whenever necessary).
Otherwise, sneak it in. Get the clear earphones. Cover the wire with some of that fake skin stuff/paint. Then make sure you have long hair because you are going to have to hide that earphone in your ear.
I guess I should have thought twice before creating my profile's name.

no job is worth missin the phins… i worked at subway when i was 19 and they wanted me to work on a sunday. i was like oh shit what do i do? well i decided i wasnt getting off my couch and i wouldnt answer my phone. they were so pissed. my boss left a message that said bring your key on or we r callin the police. hahaha it was awesome.
