Underclassmen have decided...
time to stalk the internet for my favorite mock drafts (for the Dolphins) day in and day out.
This time... it's www.walterfootball.com !
They have a 3 round mock draft and here are who they have us picking:
25. Duke Robinson, G Oklahoma.
44. * From Washington * Sean Smith, CB/S Utah
56. Ron Brace, NT Boston College
87. Mohamed Massaquoi, WR Georgia
I would love to dissect these, but I'm not very good to be honest. I watched Massaquoi play (Florida fan), but admittedly never really paid attention to Utah or BC. I did, however, notice that Oklahoma's Offensive Line played EXTREMELY well throughout the entire season, so I did look up some info on this supposed first round choice.
Duke Robinson - 6'5" 335 lbs. He was coined "the quickest 335 pounder you will ever see." He played LG in college and could make for a formidable tandem on the left side of the line with Big Jake. Where I have read about him, the articles tend to say that 335 is a generous weight listing. Apparently he is closer to 345 than 335.
Walterfootball.com does provide analysis of each pick, however brief and bad it may be.

nice little post fishstick
If the powers that be take Robinson, it would be a good pick. Think what the Florida sun during mini-camp and training camp, plus some time in the conditioning program would do to this guy? Make him a lean mean, pancaking machine. Not say its going to happen, but if it does……..cool

Duke would a nice pickup
but I’m not sure a G is our top priority to reach into the first round for one. I think it really depends on how Donald Thomas’ recovery goes over the next couple months. If he looks ahead of schedule and on track to being the guy that won a starting job last season, we won’t need a first round G. But if he’s behind schedule and the outlook is cloudy, we may need to sure that position up with a beast. Duke is a sure thing at guard. He’s a physical specimen, and he’s got a rare combo of size and quickness.
I think our draft position is gonna hurt us a little bit this year because of so many top rated guys returning to school. Bradford, Gresham, Spikes, McCoy (the DT), McCoy (the QB), and Mays would all have been drafted before our pick, dropping some very talented guys into our range. Now I think a few players projected near our pick will end up in the top 15-20. I have no doubt’s that Parcells and Ireland will find a good fit at our draft slot though, so no worries.

Don't think priority will come into play in this years Draft ...
If we are able to re-sign all of our players except crowder their isn’t a huge need anywhere except ILB but I think that will also be covered in FA before the draft … That will allow the team to stick to there draft board and pick the best possible player regardless of position. Not saying Donald Thomas isn’t a stud but if Duke is available and we have him graded their we take him regardless .. plus remember Thomas only played one game so having him learn and get better as a backup wouldn’t be that bad .. we all know there will be an injury on the O-line at some point next season so it would be great to have someone like him available. The more O-line depth the better ..

depth is good
plus, if you get guys in training camp fighting for a job, you’re going to improve as whole.

Couldn't agree more
With the reports coming out about who is sticking around it sounds really encourging going into the draft if it unfolds that way. We will have a luxury that I don’t ever remember seeing before …

I think this guy would be a great pick and do wonders for our running game
imagine two 1st round picks in our O-line for years to come. That´d be amazing.
But personally I would prefer to go for a stud linebacker like Brian Cushing it he dropped to 25. But this is an intriguing possibility nonetheless.

You're the leader of the CushWagon lol.
Start it up! Although, it may crash and burn if my PeppersWagon brings Big Julius into town…

rotoworld.com
says Peppers wants to be traded to a team where he could play a OLB in a 3-4.
that would be the largest mass of man to play LB. and I would love every second of it if he were in aqua and orange.
