Interesting little article I found on PFT about the relationship Pasqualoni has w/ Scott Pioli. Only a rumor but definitly interesting. Personally, I believe that after drafting a few young players on defense and implementing the 3-4, losing Pasqualoni this offseason would be a big hit to the team, not only the young guns on defense. Thoughts?

3-4 ??? really

It would be a huge loss .. the better we are at keeping with the co-ordinators the more our players will progress in the systems. I don’t really see the Cheifs swithcing to a 3-4 due to their current talent on Defense, by that I mean high draft pick Glen Dorsey

i dont see

dorsey being able to play NT but i could be wrong. i hope we dont lose pasqualoni. i think hes a good coordinator.

good point

they would have to completely overhaul the defense, after years of trying to get talent to fit in the 4-3. Derrick Johnson is a 4-3 OLB, Dorsey is a 4-3 DT, they don’t have anyone to play the 3-4 ends. It would set their rebuilding back significantly to switch defenses, but Pioli may want to scrap everything and start over anyway. Hopefully he stays around.

Chiefs 45M under cap

I just read a report that had the Chiefs 45 mil under the salary cap … so I guess with all the FA’s available they might be able to get the LB’s and D-Line needed to play that type of system .. I’m just hoping they don’t go for Pasqualoni because I think has did a lot of good this season
