FYI: Dolphins draft position
Here's a little nugget to consider. Thanks to the Cardinals' win tonight over Carolina, the Dolphins can now move from the #26 pick in the draft to the #25 pick IF the Eagles can knock off the Giants tomorrow. If the Eagles lose, the Dolphins can still move to the #25 position with a Cardinals win next week over the Giants.
The Chargers reaching the Super Bowl would also bump the Dolphins up a spot in the draft.

I like our chances … go eagles
Is there any chance we could move up another spot with the Chargers winning or do they have to make it to the super bowl ???

why? what does the eagle thing matter?
san diego, or arizona in the superbowl would each bumb us up one, so go underdogs!
ALSO, I thought that teams with the same record would rotate their position from round to round. For example if their are 4 11-5 teams, the team that picks last among them (Baltimore) would eventually get to pick ahead of New England in one of the rounds. Didn’t they used to do it that way?
whatever, it was worth it having a good year and a bad slot.

I think this is correct
The Super Bowl winner picks last and the Super Bowl loser picks next to last. So any team with a worse record than us that makes it to the Super Bowl will bump our draft pick up by one. Thus, we should be rooting for San Diego, Arizona, and Philly. If Philly wins then either Arizona or Philly has to go the Super Bowl, but by no means is it necessary for Philly to beat the Giants, since Arizona can still bump us up by beating the Giants.

The Eagle thing matters because if they win...
…it guarantees the Dolphins to improve one spot in the draft – as then either Arizona or Philly will be in the SB.
The Dolphins can move up two spots in the draft is the Chargers play the Eagles or Cards in the SB, too.

Go Iggles!
I live in Arizona and that’s the only team remaining that I give a remote sh*t about, and I’d love to see the Cards get a home game…

Hmm-
well I had planned on rooting for the Giants as they did us the favor of saving the 72 season while simultaneously shattering the dreams of every Patriot on the planet. They made NE fans cry, and made Tom Brady look like a jackass for thinking the Giants couldn’t hold them under 30. Still though- one spot is one spot- Go Eagles!

Scout
Scout.com had us drafting at #6 back in May for 2009 :-). Does anyone know if Crabtree has declared or if he’s staying in? Would we be willing to give up a #1 and #2 for Crabtree, maybe throw in Wilford….
