A request for the football media and Jets/Favre fans:
I have just one simple request.
My personal feelings for the Jets aside, can you all please stop talking about how awesome you think Brett Favre is?
Sure the Jets squeaked out a win by 6 points. The way you talk, you make it sound as though The Lord Messia Brett Favre walked onto the field, angels descended from the heavens above, the entire Miami stadium was struck with awe, and the the entire Dolphins lineup bowed down and let Brett "Jesus" Favre command the football from a golden throne.
Brett Favre is not the holy one, come to lead the Jets to the superbowl. He's an aging has-been who'll be gone in approximately 15 games.
Thanks...
I swear, its not just the media now, its freakin EVERYONE i know saying "oh, you see brett favre today?" "oh, how aobut that brett favre today?" It was all the buzz in fantasy-land.

Brett
played amazingly well. He is the reason those rushing lanes were always open. He is the reason they won. Well, him and Lowery. Damn Lowery was a beast.
good luck
I think we’re just jealous too, not to long ago we were loving it hearing about how great our QB was. Overkill is overkill, but its not so bad when its one of our guys….lol
Don't worry...
He’s got 15 more games to play. If that’s the best he can do against a rebuilding team, then he’s got a long road ahead of him.
NO I am not jealous
They are over doing the Brett Favre thing…………He had a OK game didnt turn the ball over and got lucky on one throw and got away with a delay of game penalty on another. His best years are behind him and I like our chances the next time we play them. The Media makes me sick when then give him credit when he doesnt deserve it.
yea...
that pass on 4th and we should have been able to defend, was so greasy, I slipped out of my chair at the bar

should have been a fin
im not gushing over Favre, but the man obviously still has a rocket arm and can make throws I haven’t seen by a Fins QB in a long time.
We should have traded for him. Its more obvious to me now than ever that this leadership has NO INTENT on winning games this year. Not that they dont want to win, but it is not their top priority this year. its more like a collateral benefit to them. they are building this team for the future and they will make decisions that are more likely to win 2-3 yrs from now than to win now.
In all fairness,
wherever Brett went, a 1st stringer was being released, and The Dolphins had first shot at the wire. Why waste all that money on a caretaker QB when you can grab one for cheap off the wire?
The management made the right decision and I think we got the best possible QB we could have in this situation. I can’t believe people are knocking Penne’s arm when we didn’t have ANY wide receivers open down field. WTF.
Plus
Getting Favre to come here would be like the geek getting the prom queen. It would take some unusual circumstances for that to happen.
