I think during the preseason we lost sight of the fact that our defense is made up of rookies, journeymen, and walk ons. Them stopping the run seems unlikely.

I wonder how much the fact that it was the Jets and Pennington was there QB last season had to do with anything. I can’t help but think there was a bit of distraction over that if not with Pennington then maby some of the other guys on the team. Now that it is over and they came so close it has to help there confidence. I noticed he wasn’t running for his life quite as much as the QB did last year. I think the phins are going to get better every week. If Pennington can stay healthy it will have a good impact on Beck and Henne to be able to watch and learn also. I think we are heading in the right direction at least after game 1

played pretty damn well. There was a sack that he could have thrown the ball away on, but other than that I have no qualms with how he played.
