Camirillo passes Hagan?
Found a good article in the Herald this morning from B.Jackson if you dont want to read here are the highlights.
Camirillo is working with the first team in practice.
Ronnie may be starter against Jets, Coach S. said "you'll have to buy a ticket"
Crocker is the starting safety not Allen.
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/miami-dolphins/story/670848.html
Also it says that the team but Armstrong and Ninovich on the Practice Squad, both of whom were waived earlier.

there was mention of this yesterday...
i can’t be positive in which thread, but I think rzayo mentioned it
we like Jet Blue, we stay hella high
i apologize if it
was already mentioned.. just b.jackson wrote it today and i was to lazy to go back through the post to see if anyone said anything about it
yeah idk who exactly said it
it was buried somewhere so im sure it wouldnt be easy to find even if you wanted to, but matty mentioned something about it maybe being a 3rd down package they were working on since greg has the ability to get open underneath.
wasn’t knockin ya, just stating in passing
we like Jet Blue, we stay hella high
well this is very bad news for ous
The reason i say that is cuz,I realy thought that hagan was gonna make this team and finaly be a good starter and stop dropen balls,,Well all this means is that hagan isnt doen that good,Cuz camarilo is a average reciver at best….What about wilford if hes not better than camirlo then this guy needs to go,Cuz were just payen him way to much….The worst news ever is that jason allen isnt starting and there not gonna even give him a chance to show what he got,So that means that the guy is probley just doen awaful……
what do you mean...
thats hes not gonna be about to show what hes got? allen has had plenty of chances to “show what hes got” and obviously its not much.
as far as camirillo goes i have no problem with him starting. he can catch the ball and just cause hes white dont make him slow :)
AND.....
if anyone watched that TD catch and run last year against Baltimore (Anyone, anyone?), Mr. Camarillo had some wheels on that play. He ran away from everyone chasing him, and took a great angle.
He didn’t look slow to me on that play.

camarillo isnt a starter...
all the recievers in the nfl and we have to start camarillo? we cant do better than camarillo???!!!!!!!
Its Sunday afternoon.....do you know where your beer is?
bullshit.
I am not buying into this crap about “ooooooh, Camarillo is the starting WR so we are in big trouble……oooooooo nooooo…….”
bullshit.
From everthing I have seen of him, Camarillo is money. I hear all these bitches about trading Welker (I think it has been like, “you don’t trade your best WR”), and then another guy comes along that looks a lot like Welker did early in his Dolphins career, and everyone is crying because he is playing really well? I don’t usually get to wrapped up in these arguments, but stoopidity peeves me.
Camarillo is an unknown. Check.
Camarillo was a waiver wire pickup. Check.
Camarillo does not have blazing speed. Check.
Camarillo is not 6’4" 220 lbs. Check.
Camarillo doesn’t have a cool name. Matter of opinion, but I’ll go along with it. Check.
Camarillo is a good slot guy. Check.
’Bout sum it up? For all of you whiners? Did i get all of your reasons why it is disaster that Camarillo is starting this game?
How about the counter argument…
Camarillo catches the friggin football. Check.
Give the guy a chance to play and judge him on the results.

geez
Quit hating on Camarillo. Let’s see what he can do. If he is impressing the coaches, then what’s the problem.? Let him play.
no doubt.... AND
Omar made this statement in his blog, and I complete agree with him:
"The one thing I really like about the Dolphins new coaches is that one poor game usually means a player is dropping down the depth chart. It’s kind of been somewhat predictable.
Derek Hagan had one of those poor showings against New Orleans, dropping two catchable balls in the first quarter, and it appears that Greg Camarillo is benefiting from it."
A WR has one primary job: CATCH THE DAMN BALL!
If you can’t do the job, we will replace you with someone who will. Period.

and i COMPLETELY agree with you in agreeing with him
damn LCFF we are in agreement today
on an off note does anyone know where you can get a “name plate” for a player… i have a welker jersey and now obv. i want to turn that into a Camarillo one :)
We
May not know the “for sure” line up for a few weeks. I have a feelilng this coaching staff is going to be veeeerrrry pliable when it comes to putting the best player on the field.
I'm
Not going to cheer any different no matter who is on the field. Until they prove us otherwise, they’re going to catch the damn thing and make some plays. When they quit doing that, i’m going to start having a problem with them

and thats all
that we can ask for as fans… I’m tired of all the damn hype of hes got potential …yada fuckin yada …screw potential production is all that matters.
no
no friggin way. camarillo is a nice player….on special teams. he isnt a game breaker…he IS NOT A STARTER. like i said before..he is a poor mans Welker…a very very poor homeless mans Welker. He is great on kick coverage…and as a slot 3rd down guy…but as far as him going up against the top cornerbacks in this league i dont wanna even hear it.
he may get some catches but he isnt scaring anyone. this will make Ginn get double teamed almost every play. seriously if a team rolls in town with camarillo starting are you scared?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Its Sunday afternoon.....do you know where your beer is?
there it is....
the “slot guy” argument. :)
So seriously, if Ginn is doubled, and GC (tired of typing it out) is open all day, that sounds like:
1) Pennington’s forte. Accurate, short-med passing.
2) a serious recipe for some long drives.
3) sounds like how Welker makes more catches than Moss.
I completely disagree about him being less than Welker. He has not played enough to be able to make a reasonable assessment as to his ability. That being said, Welker was not “Welker” until he got a chance to play. He bounced around and got cut a few times before getting his shot and breaking out. Maybe this is GC’s shot. You might be surprised.

THAT BEING SAID....
it is what it is…..so if hes starting,….im rollin with him…
gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
camarillo
Its Sunday afternoon.....do you know where your beer is?
i guess
i think id go with wilford…i think he is the kinda guy who gives a crap about fake games….hes a proven player…with size and commands some respect due to it.
camarillo demands rice and beans
Its Sunday afternoon.....do you know where your beer is?
He earned it dude. Give him some respect for that.
~Derek Hagan, who could not hold on to two catchable balls in Miami’s final exhibition game, confirmed Camarillo has replaced him on the first team in practice.
‘’They say he’s had a better preseason,‘’ said Hagan, who caught four passes for 40 yards in the preseason. ``It’s a great opportunity for him. I do know I will be on the field [a lot].’’
Camarillo, who caught six passes for 58 yards in the preseason, said coaches stopped short of telling him that he would start Sunday.
‘’It surprised me,’’ he said of moving up to the first team. Although he lacks blazing speed, ``I’m smart enough to find where the gaps are.’’
Sparano praised Camarillo’s consistency in the preseason.
‘’We really haven’t given him a lot of opportunities to be on the field for long periods of time,‘’ Sparano said. ``He’s got really good awareness. He gives the quarterback a pretty sound target. The guy has excellent hands, can run after the catch. He’s sneaky fast. I really like what the guy has done.’’~

im not saying we have anything better
im saying i think its lame that it came to our best STARTING OPTION….in the nfl….is greg camarillo…a guy the chargers cut last season and of all ppl cam cameron was “smart” enough to pick him up.
i know there are better options out there…i mean cmon. camarillo? we are talking about the same guy right? take away that td last yr from his resume and you got a grand total of shat……zilch…zero…nadda…..
ginn is just about to come into his own and now he is gonna see double teams all day. alllllllllllllllll dayyyyyyyy. not good.
at some point i think we can take the picks we keep getting and flip them for fill in players in desperate spots
i would have signed ashley lelie on the cheap.
lots of guys are out there im sure
Its Sunday afternoon.....do you know where your beer is?
Welker.... eerily similar to Camarillo.... ;)
2004
After his senior season at Texas Tech, Welker went undrafted in the 2004 NFL Draft but ended up signing as a free agent with the San Diego Chargers.
Despite making the Chargers’ roster out of training camp, Welker was cut after the first week of the 2004 season and signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he was mostly used on special teams. Playing against the Patriots on October 10, 2004, Welker became the second player in NFL history to return a kickoff and a punt, kick an extra point and a field goal, and make a tackle in a single game.
2005
During training camp at the beginning of the 2005 season, Welker was promoted to the third wide receiver spot after Chris Chambers and Marty Booker. He finished the season with 29 receptions for 434 yards and no touchdowns

My view..
You just don’t know…… Wait until they start playing, if the wrong choice was made, it will be quickly taken care of. This reciever corp is a work in progress. Ginn still has questions, durability being my number one concern. Casting a shadow on him can knock him down sometimes. Use the best, use them often, use their strengths. Until they drop the ball, blow a route, or miss a block, thats who plays. Its going to be like a rubiks cube, but it can be solved.
im just saying
i dont settle. im a miami dolphins fan and i want the best. when i see us running out camarillo as a starter im dissapointed…not excited. other teams are gonna eat him up…he looks ok vs the teams 4th cb…but now he will face the 2nd best cb….when we play the raiders he will be guarded by daute hall for gods sake…i mean is there even a chance of him beating dante hall??!!!
I hate Hagan. he was a lower rd pick by a crappy regime….and im supposed to beleive the whole 3rd yr thing just cuz its his 3rd yr?? no. Hagan was known for dropping passes at arz st..and he still is known for dropping passes….that tells me one thing…he isnt good at catching footballs…which is not a good thing if you make ur living as a wr in the nfl. i feel like hagan and beck are the same person….i never bought into them….they never should have been hyped to us…or picked that high….and now u see what we shoulda know…they are end of the roster guys.
back to camarillo…..name the best mexican wr of all time…name ANOTHER mexican wr lol
im just saying…..camarillo is gonna get his lunch eaten all season….but like i said it is what it is and im rooting for him to shut me up…i hope he goes 8 catches for 100 yrds and a score and u guys are rippin me a new one sun night
Its Sunday afternoon.....do you know where your beer is?
I'm just sayin.....
he might be good.

gay, straight, martian, hari krisha,
who the hell cares, as long as they CATCH THE DAMN BALL!
Maybe we need a terrorist who can grab a bomb from Pennington and run it through the Red Zone.
