I Think

It’s Ricky Brown. Combination of burst and lower body strength.

Ricky Brown

But on another note, Ricky had a 1800+ rushing yd season a few years back with a so so mediocre OL. Ronnie was on a his way to a Pro Bowl, before he went down last season with a so so mediocre OL. This season we’re looking @ a potential DOMINANT OL with Ricky (who is supposedly in the best shape of his career mentally and physically, and showing it throughout camp and preseason), and Ronnie (who was starting to show signs of life again after his injury during the last game of preseason) is our rushing attack going to rock or what? I predict the Ricky Brown train is gonna have 2200+ yards rushing this season. Whatta rush!

talent

Ronnie probobly has more talent (#2 overall pick) than Ricky (#5 overall) but Ricky is still the better running back right now. I’d say Ronnie is the better pass catcher out of the backfield, tho.

totally disagree.

I think Ricky is WAY more talented… just talking pure talent. Ricky has lost a bit physically, but gained a lot experience-wise, so he MAY even be more effective than he was several years ago.

Ronnie is younger, and may be faster in a footrace (I have always wondered why his 40 times were like 4.3 something, and yet he constantly gets dragged down from behind in the open field). Ronnie also has the potential to be more of a battering ram.

Ricky has better instinct and vision.

They both are pretty good pass catchers…

No Way

Ricky is definitely the most talented running back. On pure talent alone Ricky blows Ronnie out of the water. You cant base talent on where someone is picked in the draft. With that way of thinking: Ryan Leaf and a crap load of other crappy QBs would be more talented than Tom Brady.

Ryan Leaf had more physical talent

he just never developed it. Brady didnt have the phyiscal talent coming out of college, thats why he wasnt drafted that high. He worked out in the weight room, got bigger & stronger, and had great people around him to develop his game.

What I’m saying is Ronnie is more physically gifted but I did say Ricky is the more developed runner (instinct & vision). Dont confuse raw talent with developed ability

I'm pretty sure I'm not.

Ricky won the Heisman.
Ronnie was 2nd string in college.

Gotta be Ricky Brown

Let’s see, a running back’s first job is run, and second job is to catch passes. So the first name is Ricky because he’s the better runner, and the second name is Brown cuz he’s the better pass catcher.

simple.

On this team, we are all united in a common goal: to keep my job.

huh?

Lorenzo Czonka
Karem Abdul Kiick
Mercury Higgs ?

Our historical RBs are the worst ever.. I can’t even make a great combo… TB is probably the only other franchise with worse RBs..

I believe it was the great Matt Shuey who once said, “The best backfield ever is Walter Payton and anyother back”. Amen!

  • While I’m pontificating on my virtual soapbox, I should also add that all these “sports” writers who name their top 10 and top 20 RBS of alltime better wake the F’ up and start included Bo Jackson. If you’re gonna include Gayle Sayers, which you should, you can not exclude Bo. He was just plain sick, even if it was for half a season and half a career.
